Thank you for saying to not worry to much about where you are in your life. I needed to hear that from someone else. I am constantly worrying that I can’t keep up to other accounts but my life responsibilities as a wife and mother often put art at the bottom of my to do list. Love this video ❤️
Probably the only video about growth that clearly explains everything in depth and the personal struggles as well, very organic and kudos to the editing it is very easy to follow as well :) happy for you mimi 🌼
Ohmy, this is what i just need now, watching it from the first second, and hear through your words, especially on 10:19 - 10:24 is works like a gentle reminder for me 😭 thank you so much for making this very useful video ❤🥰 I hope you can achieve your dreams ✨
awww i love this! i am a beginner in the Instagram art community and whenever the statistics are lower than my previous works, i get really down and frustrated. when you said to focus on your art, that spoke volume to me. thank you :)
Your videos are so encouraging! As someone hoping to start making a career path out of my digital art, hearing your insight and reminders fills me with hope and helps me focus on truly enjoying my own art journey!
Mimi!! I discovered your channel a few days ago and your videos are so fun to watch in the morning. 💕💕 your art style is beautiful, as well as your personality.
I love how realistic you are, Mimi! It reminds me to let go and do my thing, which is a message the Universe frequently sends me lately. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, and illustrating and communicating it so beautifully that it's easy and a joy to receive the information and put it to use in our own art practices. Blessed be.
I also have just come across your RUclips account and love your positivity! I’m heading out to check you on instagram now ! I really love the energy you put out into the universe :)
Thank you so much for these super helpful videos. I’ve been working hard lately to present my art more professionally and you had a lot of helpful information that I think will really help, not just a bunch of filler. Also the video editing is spectacular. He does a great job. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for sharing your tips! Actually to be honest when I started following your tips from the previous video, my hashtag reach went up to around 100s. And now it has gone up to 1500 as average reach daily and my highest is almost 5000 from a post!! And slowly I noticed that my page started getting into the explore page a little. Hopefully the reach will be more!!
Love this! Just found you today. You have an amazing work ethic. I found it so hard to get back into the groove after taking a break for months, but after watching through your videos I feel like I'll give it another go. Definitely subscribed! I can't wait to see what else you create going forward.
You are such an inspiration! I’m trying to get to my 10k milestone myself 😄 I wanted to give my IG due time and effort but I wasn’t where I needed to focus. Thank you for the tips 🤗
This video is chocked full of great information. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and perspective! P.S. the editing of this video is just lovely
Thank you so much for this, I feel like I have gained so many insights from both of these videos😍 its true, when I first started instagram a year ago when people would unfollow I would take it personally and think it was something I was doing wrong, but its simply part of social media😊 can't wait for the next update when you hit 100k, I really enjoy following your journey!🥰🧡
I just noticed your channel and it's awesome. Really beautiful. You have such a great talent that I can never think of. Keep going. Looking forward to new videos.
That was such a helpful video! Loved your encouraging words and positive outlook. Keeps me inspired to keep going because I know I want my art to sustain me financially. Thank you!
Thank you for your words and advice here. Especially the part about dedicating your time to this now. I have so many interests I've often felt very splintered in my time. What you said gives me courage to cut back on my many interests and focus on one thing for a season.
Thank you for sharing all of these tips! It was very thought-provoking and gentle. 💖 Made me think a lot about what I need to improve. (I really truly love your graphics. 🥺 You and your boyfriend make a wonderful team and I love how much you collaborate on your art.✨)
Very motivating! ❤ Your work is really inspiring. I also dream of making Art for a living. The end of this Video reminded me of more doing and less thinking! ❤ Thank you! 😸
good message and congrats on doing what you love! Question - I watched another illustrator's video who had quit instagram because they didn't find it draining their creativity and felt like working for the facebook co for nothing. They rely on their website blog and SEO, as well as their mailing list to keep up with their audience. Would you ever quit social media? I wonder this because I am not sure whether to give my energy to it or just avoid it from the begining.
You are such an inspirarion. It really takes time to gain a lot of people who get to appreciate your craft. I hope to gain this too as I am already in YT for one year.
Your videos are incredible! The quality of your channel is simply outstanding. 🔥 I am especially partial to your cottage illustrations! 😍 Since the recent whistleblower allegations against Facebook (and by extension IG), I’ve considered leaving IG. My growth has been painfully slow and I often find myself feeling discouraged about the potential for progress. I’m currently working very hard to build my RUclips channel and I feel like I can barely keep up. I’ve started to believe that IG is just not worth the effort. How has gaining so many followers helped you? What kind of ROI do you see from having a larger audience? 💝 Congrats on your progress!!
@@SR-ql9he Thanks for taking the time to look at my feed and share your thoughts. I used to believe that if I became a very skilled artist and produced really strong art, that I’d gain an audience-but that’s obviously not true. As for creating stylized art that’s quirky, I’ve tried and it’s just not my jam. I’m truly a natural history illustrator. And for the record, there are other artists in my genre who produce strongly realistic art of birds and get tons of likes. I wish I could find that mythical place where my kind of art is appreciated more. 🏰
Hi there! Thanks so much for the kind feedback! I had a look at your socials and I think your art is really lovely (I love the tiny bird series!), and totally understand if you're thinking of leaving IG. I think if you're feeling like it's a lot to keep up with multiple platforms then committing to just one is a great way to go, because you'll be able to focus your energy on finding and building your audience on that one platform (which you absolutely will, you art and video quality are both great!). I focused almost soley on Instagram for a really long time, just making a couple of videos on the side when I got around to it, and didn't fully commit to RUclips until this year and have the help of my partner who films and edits. Keep it up, your content is so worth following, my best guess is that the right audience haven't found you yet!
@@MimimooIllustration Mimi, thank you so so much for taking the time to look at my IG (and follow!) and also to watch and comment on my videos. That means so much! The pressure of trying to grow on more than one platform at a time feels overwhelming at times. I so appreciate your kind and encouraging words! Thanks again!! 💕💝💕
Thanks for sharing your experience and tips. I discovered your channel recently when looking for an artist studio setup. I am an artist myself who is trying to support myself and my family through art. It is a tough journey. I am still exploring ways on how to increase my followers and also to make time and maintain the motivation in creating art. Currently, my main source of income is through commissions, which is not enough. So, I guess I am still struggling to find a way to make it. Again, thank you for sharing. 🙂
I totally feel you! I spent at least a year earning hardly enough to cover a week of bills so it can absolutely be a long tough journey. Keep working at improving your content, and finding out what it is that your audience wants, and you'll absolutely make progress!
Right now I’m at 1.3k, and my next small goal is hitting 2k. I can’t imagine hitting 50k +, that’s a big goal of mine❤️ Also joining art challenges really help me grow, for example inktober
Great question! I work on it in collaboration with my partner who is a video editor (lucky for me!) so it was SO much quicker than if I tried to do it myself. So true, mental health is definitely an important consideration if you think Instagram will have an impact. I'm no therapist so it might be worth talking to someone who is if you're worried, but for me I know that as long as I'm not focused on the likes and the metrics, and as long as I'm focused on improving my art and encouraging others, then I can keep a positive relationship with Instagram because it doesn't really matter what others think 😊
