When I was a child, I hated music so much and it all sounded weird to me, but when my dad played some Anne Murray’s music for the first time, I thought it was the most beautiful voice that calmed me down almost instantly. Even though I was a Vietnamese baby and I didn’t understand any English at that time, her music still touched me deeply. Now I’m in Canada pursuing my study and lived in PEI, a place where she used to live and teach at a highschool. I know I live so near her center in NS but I haven’t had any chances to visit the place yet. Definitely it’s gonna be my plan for the near future! She’s my idol for life and if you have a chance to look at this comment. Please give her my greatest gratitude for me please❤

Snowbird came up on my Pandora a couple of years ago. I recognized it, but couldn't recall when I had heard it before. Turns out it was released as a single the summer I was born. I'm convinced that I listened to the song as an infant and maybe even while still in the womb. I had probably heard it after that, but whatever the case, the song takes me way back. I love the song and I love Anne Murray.

Ur mother played a crucial part in my life .Senior year my mother was in ICU and I had a musical review in choir where I had a solo.i sang Now and forever .Well my dad kept telling everyone I didn’t have time to practice cause mom was so sick long story short standing ovation and a proud father in tears all because of ur mom and her songs.The ones I could sing because my voice craves the alto life. Well anyways if u read me thank her ok. A good memory of a mom and dad I miss daily

Your mom has the greatest Canadian voice ever! I will never forget when I first heard "You Needed Me". It touched me so, and every time I listen to it, I remember the first time I heard it.
Almost every Christmas we watch the Anne Murray Christmas special that we had video taped off the TV. You know, the one when you introduced the Barenaked ladies. We found you to be very cute and shy and very lovely teen. I was glad to see this video and see how you have grown in a beautiful and confident woman, and that you're still a fan of your mom like we are!

My autistic grandson is super sensitive to anything being played loud, (of course unless he's playing it 😉), the absolutely only singer/music that he will crank up loud is Anne Murray....Errik says she doesn't sing to his ears, she sings to his heart ❤️. Thank you 😊

The best voice ever. Wow, I grew up listening all of her songs, and yet today, though so many years have passed, the feelings out of every song are still there. Best wishes for her today.
It´s almost impossible to pick one song over the other. But I can say that the very first song I heard from such a beautiful voice was "You needed me". I was 17 and I played it over and over again. Really it´s hard not to enjoy each one.
But when I hear Anne singing "In the garden" , there are no words that can describe what I feel.
Not only birds hush their singing, but the heart stays still, touching that moment. She makes you feel that Presence beside you. Beautiful.

Found this video remincing about my mother Victoria. As a young boy in the early 70s my mother had these LPs. She looked a lot like your mother, tall blonde 5'9". High cheek bones,soft spoken. As she aged she looked more like your mother with short hair,wow! Thank you for sharing! You are beautiful too,amazing!

My wife is from the Philippines.
She just immigrated here in December of 2017. She is an Anne Murray fan and often serenades me with her songs. Kareoke is big down there and Anny Murray classics are song over and over.
We're in Saint John, N.B. and she's excited to visit Springhill, N.S. to see the town where Anne grew up.

My hubby and I decided to go for a drive today and wound up in Tatamagouche, Wallace and Pugwash. He knew that since covid hit Nova Scotia and the killings took place, I had been watching you and your Mom's videos and listening to your music. Today I found myself telling him about the places along the way that were on the Anne Murray 2018 video. Driving past the farm and your Mom telling you there were no cows there and the salt mines and I couldn't wait to get to the Vegetable stand to buys some fresh vegetables. It wasn't open, on a Saturday!!!! lol I don't think he realized how much time I have actually spent online watching and listening to you and your Mom, but I do, it has given me focus through all this. Thank you both again for all you've done for Nova Scotia, Canada and all the lives you've touched.

I just listened to Anne's interview on CBC's "q" with Tom Power this morning. I have new appreciation for Anne, and looked up old footage of her singing "Danny's Song," on "Midnight Special," from the 1970s. Anne, your voice is so incredibly pure. Goosebumps!

Wow! This is so cool! I grew up listening to Anne back in the 70s and remember the first time I heard Snowbird! Anne's music made a lot of people smile. Dawn you look so much like her when you smile! What a good mom ill bet she was - she always reminded me of some of my teachers back in the 70s. They were very kind and good natured, unlike my parents who would always beat the hell out of me! ha haaaa
Love you Anne Murray. You've been in my life since "Snowbird". You're beautiful, strong, courageous, humble, real, and sing like an angel. Also, you're from Down East......my mother was born in Pugwash, 1932.
I discovered Anne Murray the day in April of 1970 I think it was when I heard "Snowbird" on my car radio and nearly drove off the road! I quickly went to work finding out who she was and what music she had released and thanks to ARC Records and Capitol of Canada got her first two albums (neither company would take a cent for them; I think they were excited hearing from someone in the States), I followed Anne's career from then on and was constantly amazed by each new album because she was so unpredictable. Many people cherish her as sweet, clear and simple but she really has been an unpredictable artist who cannot be typed.I am, equally, a Dawn Langstroth fan and hope she will return to recording. She is a gem. A great artist,too.

So happy Dawn took this EXCELLENT Video. Anne M was so important to me between the age of 10-25. I listened to all her music during that time in order to make it though a horrible time in my life. Today I listen to her and can remember where and how I was when I first heard a specific song and I smile for the memories. :-) What a "power house" Anne is.
A musical love affair that began when "Snowbird" became a hit here in the US when I was 11 years old, and continues to this day. Love you, Anne. Hope retirement is as wonderful and fulfilling as it can be.
