I enjoy the occasional trash collection trip, it's quite relaxing. Also while I don't know what got that police car to chase you the other time, that whole "can't park here" thing is more for multiplayer. People driving police cars can actually mark your vehicle for towing if you leave it on the road. Btw that shop to the left at 8:18 is something worth checking out. Maybe you bound the running function to another key, but it should still be there.. somewhere.
Every time i go out in the garbage truck i make sure to get a full truck. the usual payout for it is like $95,000+ but only if you OWN the truck. It's the second best way of making money in single player, the best (but very challenging) way to get money is......Spoilers ahead, you have been warned! The coal run from the mine to the farthest port on the big island. I did it twice now, both times i got $220,000+ per load but the road into and out of the coal mine is VERY difficult to drive even with a fully upgraded 6x6 truck, yes you NEED the 6x6 with all lockers on in low gear and the 8,000lb winch on the front otherwise you cant even get to the coal mine. But be ready for like 1.5-2hrs of time.
The trashman cometh. Complete luxury with daily trash pickups in that city. Our household waste is collected every 2 weeks (and yes, it does get a bit ripe in the summer....), and recyclables once a month. Thanks for the video, and take care.
The "wrong parking" thingy is an MP thing. On solo plays it bothers noone. Trash is gold, it benefits everyone on a server and i saluted our trashmen every time one is doing the job. Explore the contracts and combine the different cargo types with their respective contracts for profit optimization. No coal is needed if something else is more fun doing.

I think you mostly get the "you can't park here" when you're on the wrong side of the road, facing traffic. Cheers!
you had the parking brake engaged that's why it wasn't pulling the garbage truck out.
