the start....nice. Mayby suggestion for trucks! put a different max speed for the right motorway lane of 50 km/h so it looks like trucks haved slowing down gone up the Mountain.

This map is beautiful!! When I Installed it I took 20 minutes to look for somewhere to start building because I didn't want to ruin the beautiful landscape too much!! I can tell that you have put LOADS of effort into it and payed attention to detail. You've done a good job with this map! Keep it up 👍

And talk about the quality of that intersection, look at how that interchange flows, it's just like music, incredible. Cant waiting for this too, everything was hart to create and tooks to much time, even the collection for this, i searched one week only for items and the weird thing is, the collection isnt rdy yet^^ . Ah yes i dont put many small stuff in this, because i need to handle all limits and the performance. For me its important to build Cleyra with more efficients. I want to build a big region more than some weeks, maybe a project for a year again or longer, who knows^^ . Alos i want to consider your advice of captions, but for the next episodes i need to concentrate me of the build and find a way to manage the uploads while i plan and create.

Just wanted to say I absolutely love what you did with Cleyra, subscribed as well to see what else you'll be doing with it! Trying the map out myself as well, but it's beauty makes it hard to actually edit things lol. There's a minor thing I noticed in your video though (this not just you, I have seen others do it in CS as well), is that the crosshatches of one side (for example at 8:50, and also the larger area at 9:30) seem to have been made for traffic coming from the opposite side. I know this is nitpicking, and forgive me for doing so (just see it as positive criticism (plus I imagine it wouldn't be lost on you since you create highly realistic maps/sceneries)), but you have to imagine that when you drive on a road, you would 'hit' the lines so to say rather than see them with open gaps (it gives better visibility of the lines). Ah I understand. Yeah I agree that, especially with a map like Cleyra, you'll have to be mindful about the amount of assets used, it'll easily clog up your system. CS made me upgrade to 32GB of ram just for this game lol, and then there's the limitations of amount of props you can use as well. I think I know the asset you've been using, I wanted to use it with a previous map (a little town I was creating on the Liechtenstein map) but stepped away from it after I noticed the diagonal lines were off and drew them by hand. I wonder know if it would be hard to actually create my own decal, or perhaps take this asset and make a mirrored version of it. That roundabout looks great as well, by the way :)
RAM or CPU is not the problem, the biggest hardware limit is the GPU. Iam using a gtx1070 and man this card is not enough for cities. Ah and back to the line problem, i checked the asset and the creator of this makes the mistake. He creates one marking for on and off ramps but the lines has on both the same direction. Cant change this atm, maybe DeCzaah has time to create one^^ .
Interesting. I always figured it was the RAM that would be the main issue with the various mods/assets, and also because of reports from others, and what was reported of the usage by the loading screen mod. I do have a hybrid GTX1070 in my computer (upgraded that together with the RAM, just in case), so for now I imagine this will be ok, but I'll have to see what happens as the city grows. The only thing holding me back right now is the processor, but like you said, I don't believe that will be an issue for now (it's an i5 2500k @3.3) plus upgrading that also means upgrading my motherboard and RAM as well. I'll deal with that in a while haha ;) Yeah the lines is just a minor thing. Like said, I never realized you used the asset but figured you were placing the lines by hand :)
RAM is only needed to load content, doesn't changing FPS. Maybe 4 gtx1070 can handle this game with all time 60FPS oh wait i mean 4 1080Ti. With a second 1070 you get only 10% more power, not more. Expensive 10% my friend^^ .

Could you create short video explaining the off/on ramps and merging lines. I cant make them (I dont know how). I dont mean detailing using props but the 3-2 lane highway or 2-3 lane highway with off ramp. Thank you :)
Yes, I'd like to see that too. One of the things that really bugs me with this game is the difficulty in getting smooth ramps, they end up looking ugly and, if using Move It and Road Anarchy, sometimes it gets really messed up.
Ye i keep that in my mind for later, maybe when i detailing the next interchange. On the second i need to replace the on and off ramps too. Ah sry for the delay in the answer, because i missed that comment, don't know why. In the next time iam busy twith the starting builds around the first district and after this i have another special trick for all skyliners and then i think i rebuild those on and off ramps. If i forget that in the future pls remember me on that^^ .

Man this is some real crazy ass stuff right here, respect! How do you manage the traffic though, like max speed and turning lanes and stuff like that? Only thing I can find is traffic++ but it doesn't work with Mass Transit
Hell yeah the traffic managing functions in the new DLC sucks^^ . But i like the ferries. I manage the traffic with traffic manager president. Its the president version of traffic management and fast updated all time.
Nice job, it looks like another perfect cities skylines project. Can you please help me a little? If I am detailing and drawing lines on road like you do, i don't have them perfectly in-line. They should be but one is a little bit left one is right. I'm probably missing something but I couldn't find what is it... Thx ;)
The most inspired location is New Zealand but in future i want to use many more cities and regions as inspiration. San Francisco or Hartford or Bosten and some cities in Australia. The more important inspiration is Auckland. Cleyra did not have fixed style of a special region, it is a fictional build and the only thing i try is, to let looks the city real^^ .

Yep thats to much for a 1070. Maybe with a 1080 i will have 15FPS more. My CPU is an i7 and used at on this savegame(with 500 people) only 40-60%. For a lot Workshop content i have 16GB RAM and use 600 Items from the ws. Later this will be a lot more, maybe more than 1000. THe usage of the RAM is rondabout 5-10GB not more(10 at load and later with win10 packaging function only 5GB). For fast Loading times i have two SSDs and the Client needs not more than 30sec to load. Hope this give enough information for this question and maybe some explains how cities hardware use.
The lane with three has a longer exit way. It isnt three, one is the exit lane. The yellow line split the lane, because this a dangerous exit. The cars drive the way down faster and thats why i though to give more safeness like real world with a longer exit lane. That means both directions has only two lanes.
Ok I got a little confused because I´ve see 3 lanes going up and two lanes going down often so I immediately of this and then I realized that the cars are driving the "wrong" way. Thx for the explaination

Hi and thanks for your comment. The music is a thing of my style and i like those. I'm interested to make extrem changes on it, but i can think about it to use maybe some more variations, maybe some hip hop beats? But some people like this video concerning for this music... hm.
I have one question - how do you get the highways to not center on the nodes when you change the number of lanes? Like when an entrance comes in and you have three lanes for a moment, when it goes back to two, it stays straight through for the main highway lanes (instead of the two lanes being centered across all three). Hopefully that makes sense what I'm talking about. This problem is probably one of my biggest gripes with Cities Skylines as it is out of the box - highway intersections are crap.
Ye i know what you mean and its pretty difficult to make this by your self. THe Highways has on htis position some more nodes and are weird deformed. In the ws in the intersection tab you will find some solutions with finished props and you can study this parts how it works. In future i want to record those builds, but for this i missed this because the on and off ramp changing was an big experiment for me and a build of 10 hours.
Yes, but i don't like this because its limit your mind and ideas. I mean its a cool thing but for me its more fun to create my own thing or style. I think that those gameplay could be boring for yt because you can use google maps and see how it looks in the end.
The yellow lines confuse me as that normally indicates, at least in America, traffic on the other side of the yellow line is heading in the opposite direction. I suggest using a different color.
It is Cleyra not America! I know some traffic rules of real world and want to put different ideas in one. The Yellow line is for the dangerous exit on the end of the slope. The line split the traffic to avoid collusions on the slope. Cleyra is a fictive city project without any special style or rules. The most buildings are from US but it isn't, because needed buildings for an international look like australia or new zealand(this are more my inspiration for this). It is fictive but i like to play with real intersections and real rules and like to combine some interesting things.
This is true but the yellow line standard is common. Having a standard across your city would be good for detailing. Also, lastly, most of your views will come from America, not saying you need to conform to them but they will be confused like I was when it comes to the yellow lines in the middle of a road like that.
Ye maybe but i think a closed line with an only and an arrow with the direction should be clear(in the cinematic was the traffic config not set, thats way some cars move over the line). In EU some construction sites use those yellow lines and also on some extempore junctions and exits etc. . Every driver knows what to do. Okay for me its weird that in US the arrows an "ONLY" needs. I mean the arrow shows the one and only direction^^ .
For me, i get terrible framerates in this game, despite having a high end cpu and gpu. (gtx 1080, 6700k). I have under 100k population I think, and I often see around 20fps. Have any advice?
FPS "is all about the" GPÜ and ye ven a 1080 cant handle the game smoothly if you build with many details or build big cities. I know that and did a lot hardware tests. My 1070 runs the first district of Cleyra(Dawn Town) only with max 35 FPS on middle zoom. The funny thing is the city or district has only 500 cims. WOuld be terrible if Cleyra grows up^^ . High resolution textures(4K), many custom content, detailed Vegetation and a lot of moving cars needs much more power and eats your hardware.
Clean you complete game and sub only to the required Cleyra stuff(and add content step by step). What is a complete clean? Unsub all and unisntall the client, also delete the app data cities folder and the game folder in the steam direction. Because many mod setting files are in this location and unsub doesn't delete them. After installing everything should be fine if you enable the required mods/asset only for Cleyra. You will see everything is working. After this you can add stuff step by step and maybe you find the mod/asset that makes props like you said.
Ah i get it^^ . My inspiration is the real world and for some things for the interchanges and junctions is to use realistic rules and try to play with it. A best example is the special long exit lane on the hwy down the mountain. Its a dangerous way down, cars could move faster and thats why i make the lane longer and split them from hwy with a yellow line, like a special rule.
Thanks and music is a weird thing, many like that and its more special than other build vids. Also it represent in some ways my style, i love guitar music but i put in newer videos more variation.

Could you create short video explaining the off/on ramps and merging lines. I cant make them (I dont know how). I dont mean detailing using props but the 3-2 lane highway or 2-3 lane highway with off ramp. Thank you :)
Yes, I'd like to see that too. One of the things that really bugs me with this game is the difficulty in getting smooth ramps, they end up looking ugly and, if using Move It and Road Anarchy, sometimes it gets really messed up.
Ye i keep that in my mind for later, maybe when i detailing the next interchange. On the second i need to replace the on and off ramps too.

In the next time iam busy twith the starting builds around the first district and after this i have another special trick for all skyliners and then i think i rebuild those on and off ramps.

Funny story, i used a gtx970 but Cities killed this card for a few weeks(i think this was cities, maybe some graphic mods was to much, i don't know).
Now i have gtx1070 from ASUS.

How do you manage the traffic though, like max speed and turning lanes and stuff like that? Only thing I can find is traffic++ but it doesn't work with Mass Transit
Hell yeah the traffic managing functions in the new DLC sucks^^ . But i like the ferries.
I manage the traffic with traffic manager president. Its the president version of traffic management and fast updated all time.

Looks good m8, I must ask what location is this based off of, being American the trees look very northwest so I would guess near Seattle
The most inspired location is New Zealand but in future i want to use many more cities and regions as inspiration.
San Francisco or Hartford or Bosten and some cities in Australia. The more important inspiration is Auckland.
Cleyra did not have fixed style of a special region, it is a fictional build and the only thing i try is, to let looks the city real^^ .

My CPU is an i7 and used at on this savegame(with 500 people) only 40-60%. For a lot Workshop content i have 16GB RAM and use 600 Items from the ws. Later this will be a lot more, maybe more than 1000. THe usage of the RAM is rondabout 5-10GB not more(10 at load and later with win10 packaging function only 5GB).
For fast Loading times i have two SSDs and the Client needs not more than 30sec to load.
Hope this give enough information for this question and maybe some explains how cities hardware use.

Looks fantastic. But could anybody tell me why 3 lanes go down the hill but only to 2 up?
The lane with three has a longer exit way. It isnt three, one is the exit lane. The yellow line split the lane, because this a dangerous exit.
The cars drive the way down faster and thats why i though to give more safeness like real world with a longer exit lane.
That means both directions has only two lanes.
Ok I got a little confused because I´ve see 3 lanes going up and two lanes going down often so I
immediately of this and then I realized that the cars are driving the "wrong" way. Thx for the explaination

I have one question - how do you get the highways to not center on the nodes when you change the number of lanes? Like when an entrance comes in and you have three lanes for a moment, when it goes back to two, it stays straight through for the main highway lanes (instead of the two lanes being centered across all three). Hopefully that makes sense what I'm talking about. This problem is probably one of my biggest gripes with Cities Skylines as it is out of the box - highway intersections are crap.
Ye i know what you mean and its pretty difficult to make this by your self. THe Highways has on htis position some more nodes and are weird deformed. In the ws in the intersection tab you will find some solutions with finished props and you can study this parts how it works. Here is one Workshop with more solutions for on/off ramps:

I use them too to understand how to create this things.
In future i want to record those builds, but for this i missed this because the on and off ramp changing was an big experiment for me and a build of 10 hours.

Yes, but i don't like this because its limit your mind and ideas. I mean its a cool thing but for me its more fun to create my own thing or style.
I think that those gameplay could be boring for yt because you can use google maps and see how it looks in the end.

The yellow lines confuse me as that normally indicates, at least in America, traffic on the other side of the yellow line is heading in the opposite direction. I suggest using a different color.

I know some traffic rules of real world and want to put different ideas in one. The Yellow line is for the dangerous exit on the end of the slope.
The line split the traffic to avoid collusions on the slope. Cleyra is a fictive city project without any special style or rules. The most buildings are from US but it isn't, because needed buildings for an international look like australia or new zealand(this are more my inspiration for this). It is fictive but i like to play with real intersections and real rules and like to combine some interesting things.
This is true but the yellow line standard is common. Having a standard across your city would be good for detailing. Also, lastly, most of your views will come from America, not saying you need to conform to them but they will be confused like I was when it comes to the yellow lines in the middle of a road like that.
Ye maybe but i think a closed line with an only and an arrow with the direction should be clear(in the cinematic was the traffic config not set, thats way some cars move over the line).
In EU some construction sites use those yellow lines and also on some extempore junctions and exits etc. .
Every driver knows what to do. Okay for me its weird that in US the arrows an "ONLY" needs. I mean the arrow shows the one and only direction^^ .
For me, i get terrible framerates in this game, despite having a high end cpu and gpu. (gtx 1080, 6700k). I have under 100k population I think, and I often see around 20fps. Have any advice?
FPS "is all about the" GPÜ and ye ven a 1080 cant handle the game smoothly if you build with many details or build big cities. I know that and did a lot hardware tests.
My 1070 runs the first district of Cleyra(Dawn Town) only with max 35 FPS on middle zoom. The funny thing is the city or district has only 500 cims. WOuld be terrible if Cleyra grows up^^ .
High resolution textures(4K), many custom content, detailed Vegetation and a lot of moving cars needs much more power and eats your hardware.

How did you start with half a million credits? Did you cheat that in? And how did you make it so that some actions that normally cost money are free?
I start with All Unlock Mod(Vanilla) and you get with it 750k and thats all.
Some items didn't have an price not more.
the map theme isn't working properly and water won't move and half the ocean is dried up. Is there any way to fix this?
Clean you complete game and sub only to the required Cleyra stuff(and add content step by step).
What is a complete clean?
Unsub all and unisntall the client, also delete the app data cities folder and the game folder in the steam direction.
Because many mod setting files are in this location and unsub doesn't delete them. After installing everything should be fine if you enable the required mods/asset only for Cleyra. You will see everything is working.
After this you can add stuff step by step and maybe you find the mod/asset that makes props like you said.

Ah i get it^^ . My inspiration is the real world and for some things for the interchanges and junctions is to use realistic rules and try to play with it.
A best example is the special long exit lane on the hwy down the mountain. Its a dangerous way down, cars could move faster and thats why i make the lane longer and split them from hwy with a yellow line, like a special rule.
Love the series, but ease off the heavy rock for a bit maybe haha
