Thank you so much for giving these guys a listen. Easily my favorite band right now. Their pure energy behind every track is what I love about them. Not to many reactor to them out there so thank you again. The Way it Ends was my first listen for them, amazing album. Into Despair is great track as well. This album though is really good. Thanks again.
Great reaction as always man! Loved this album, had a ton of fun jumping around to this album. It's my idea type of heavy metalcore 💯 have a great day!
DUDE!! Is that the album Disambiguation in the back ground?! Holy shit dude that album is one my favorite albums! Also great reaction. So far this is my AOTY. Not as emotional and deep as The Way It Ends but this album really reminds people the vocal capabilities that Brian has, which was a little lacking in TWIE. A 9/10 album for sure.
Guitar tone is ass and writing feels stale at times. 40% of the album (Over and over, Vengeance, Gone Astray and Guide us home) is basically redundant and skipable. The other 60% is god tier, I agree, and I love Currents in general, but 8.0 points for this album is more than fair imo. Invent Animate's Heavener, now that is an 11/10, no competition
@@bencepatyi4032that's an L Take my friend like I understand how this won't be everyone's cup of tea but to say the tone is ass is absolutely not true it just sounds more chunky if anything which isn't a bad thing I don't mind it and apparently you haven't listened to those other songs you mention all that well before they are actually really good but to each their own
@@WastedLight I know he is. But shadow of intent is Death Metaly Metal Core. Currents is Metal Core. That’s why I want strings in Currents as well as SOI
The “what is that sound??” at the beginning of Living in Tragedy - it’s doing natural harmonics (a technique where you touch the string without fretting it at specific spots that produce higher overtone notes) on the low string of the guitar.
Im not impressed with these reactions so far, i cant stand how people expected Currents to wanna continue a sound like TWIE, like its just so shitty as a fan of Currents to see the band get shit on and slandered for not sounding like their previous work. Only thing even worse complaining about is the mix, it is muddy and kinda overwhelming but honestly it takes nothing away from this album. This is better than previous work in its own fantastic way and i cant wait to see if Currents will continue changing and adapting in new brilliant ways.
Easily my favorite currents album and I've heard TWIE well over 100 times front to back by now. I feel like both this album and TWIE are two sides of the same coin, one is much heavier and grittier, while the other is much more melodic and atmospheric. But I really do feel like they're both excellent and I genuinely don't think one is better than the other, just comes down to mood/preference.
Bands evolve. I think their vocalist wanted to shine his cleans in this album. It’s super dope. The guitar solos were dope since I think they only had one on TWIE with monsters. This band is dope as shit. Anyone who says otherwise isn’t a true fan. If you want TWIE go listen to that. This sounds just like it but more melodic and ambient in its own way.
Coming from someone who literally has a tattoo of the Currents logo on their body, you've gotta accept that people are going to have differing opinions when it comes to music. Some people really dig this new album, some don't. If you do, great. You should focus on how much you like it, not on what everyone else thinks of it.
I can't stand "fans" that expect artists/bands to always write music that specifically caters to their preferences (more like demands). Then when artists tell those "fans" to fuck off by writing the music they want to write, they start acting like little kids by throwing a tantrum. Quit putting artists in a fucking box. Let them express themselves in their music however they want to. You'll probably enjoy a lot more music if you do.
@@FuzzyDJF its just sickening, either way im not gonna let peoples shitty opinions sway mine, this album is a absolute masterpiece and nothing less. Also i would love to get a currents tattoo, always wanted one right on my forearm.

Thanks for listening along with me!
Their best to date for me, 'Living in Tradegy ' is the best they've written.

Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
Brian's vocals on Living in Tragedy remind me deeply of my first listen to Reckless & Relentless by Asking Alexandria back in 2011.
Love it
deep cut
@@mercybeats_ funny i also thought that, reminds me of Morte Et Dabo a bit.

Oh yeah, that's my signed CD copy!
Альбом как всегда шикарен!
Nice reaction, great album!
Thanks!

Вторая песня Living In Tragedy просто вышка! Необычное звучание, которое у них получилось.
Чем-то навеяло от мика гордона)
Брайан в вокале растет с каждым альбомом.
8.0, Seriously? This album is one of the best in this genre. Invent animate and currents new albums are the best so far for this year 🤘🤘🤘🤘
infinity? wtf

@@bencepatyi4032nah heavener definitrly my least favorite this year very boring and disappointing
Please appreciate the growls bellow the chorus on over and over!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Gone Astray makes me want MUCH n MANY more strings in Currents songs
Go listen to shadow of intent then lol. Chris Wiseman is the guitarist, as he is also one of the guitarist and pretty much main songwriter of currents

@@CullyColantino Shadow of Intent already said they are gonna be strictly Death Metal going forward so yea not really the same as Currents.
Currents has always had a lot of strings in their music, just not as blatant as in this song. Usually tucked away in the background a bit
Living in Tragedy fucking RIPS.
that riff tho!
That is a chorus in Vengeance, imo
The clean vocals give me a rise against vibe. I love it.
What is the intro song? Ohh god I know it, but can't remember
Is it Underoath??
Man you have disambiguation vinyl on the background, it must be underoath song %)
But can't remember the title
Ok, it's breathing in a new mentality 😅
You got it! It's an instrumental version of that song.
It's what their last album should have been. Vocally mixed better imo and having a few solos is a W as well.
Solid album and solid reaction. Keep it coming.
P.S Aviana reminder ;)
Is aviana doing something new?

he probably meant the synth or whatever it is in the background
Yeah, there's this weird synth under the guitar after it repeats.
