      What are your thoughts off adding black pepper with the olive oil. Adding black pepper to turmeric adds to its bioavailbility. I have seen data that states its the same for resveratrol

      Hi, Richard, I've forgotten this video of yours but still, you didn't mention can I take NMN and Resveratrol same time or at a different time
      . Of course it's logic to take at the different time but sometimes when in rush need to Take 3 same time and it's worries me. Thanks very much for your video's they are piece of mind for me cause we believe in you and follow your your footsteps but of course listening and knowing our own medical records.
      Every body is different as we all know .
      We take this vitamins here with no health problem people.
      My husband is only taking quercetin 3 times a week cause his inner arteries inside of his kidneys are blocked.
      He is a stable renal patient. This is the only vitamin he can take. Metformine stopped by his kidney Doctor at London one year ago saying this stage of kidney patient musn’t be on Metformin tablets but NHS given him another diabetic tablet .
      His glucose is under control dropped now. So as you said people have to listen their own body .
      Thanks and God Bless you🙏🕺

      Hi Clare, thanks for your kind comments and question. We are looking to try pterostillbene soon as it does seem to have better bioavailability than resveratrol. As resveratrol is prodding Sirt1 into action I can see that other similar molecules could have the same effect. How are you finding pterostillbene? You mention tablets, do you take these with water?

    I recently bought NMN and Resveratrol both arrived at work today. I have had a terrible headache all day and I have taken pain killers a few times throughout the day but the horrible headache came back within the hour. I probably picked up something from one of the many children I work with because everyone has been dropping like flies at work. . Within 1/2 an our of taking resveratrol the headache was gone. I realised it was probably my BP because the pain was behind the eyes, back of the neck and it was throbbing plus my ears were really sensitive to the noise the kids were making....why they have to SCREAM at the top of the voices is beyond me. Tomorrow I will take the NME and my B vits and the resveratrol!

    Great video Richard. Quick question on Resveratrol, do you take the capsule and pour the ingredients out in spoon and mix with olive oil? Or you take capsule directly with olive oil and maybe some water so it goes down easily? Thanks

      Hi Ankur, thanks for your question. So at the moment I am mixing my resveratrol with olive oil. Partly because olive oil is good for you anyway and partly based on the advice from Dr. Sinclair. But sometimes I just take the capsule.

    Greetings,
    Recently a new study by the NIH on resveratrol showed that it might actually be dangerous in higher doses.
    (The paper is called:a double-edged sword in health benefits)
    What's your opinion on this? Is it safe to continue using resveratrol ?

    • @branjay3588

      I'm not entirley sure but i read Resveratrol supposedly stresses your cells, so lower amounts is better for the hormetic effects of resvertrol. Again, I don't know if this is true but I read that somewhere.

    Thank you .. would like to hear your thoughts on l lysine as anti-aging.

    • @ModernHealthspan
      @ModernHealthspan  3 года назад +2

      Hi Rohit, thanks for your question. Lysine is an essential amino acid so it is required to live and is great if you are looking for muscle growth as it is the key amino acid sensed by mTOR. However, in general in aging the aim is to reduce the activity of mTOR not increase it (you could watch our interview with Dr Sabatini ruclips.net/video/Ces-puudiO8/видео.html on the subject). So I would not associate l lysine with anti-aging. Did that answer your question?

    Hi there, I do not have a scale so I do not know how much 1g of resveratrol is in powder form. What could be used to measure out 1g? Thank you

    • @scottpreston5074
      @scottpreston5074 2 года назад

      @Mijin Choe, I dont have a lot of money for a gram scale either, but I plan on getting one as you can get a functional one for not too much money. Since the dosage probably doesn't have to be right on the money, you can probably make a careful guess by comparing the measured volume with something else of a known weight. If you have something that weighs a gram, you could make a balance beam with a rod and use a set of teaspoon measures. I'm going to make a wild guess that a quarter teaspoon might be in the neighbourhood. This all depends on the density of the product. You could also go to a friend, or school lab with some small measuring spoons and weigh some samples out until you find a spoon that is nearing 1 gram or half a gram. I'd buy the scale, you can probably get a cheap balance scale at a head shop. Live long and prosper.

E.g. n.neurology.org/content/85/16/1383 (upregolation of beta amyloid by high dosage of rsv in Alzheimer). How should we interpret this regarding taking it? This could be really interesting, much more than repeating the same things, don't you think? 😊
