I was at Radical Face's concert a week ago and Ben Cooper told that this song is about a man who commits suicide and his ghost gets stuck inside his house where he has to watch his wife slowly forget about him.
the lyrics are telling the story of an abused girl by her father and she makes a deal with her bf to kill themselves. the boy only dies and the doctors save the girl. "they cut ur eyes wide open" and "i sank into the sea wrapped in piano strings" is describing how he died. " now i just sleep beneath your floor my ghost just tries to keep u warm" Thats what i think the story is about at least lol
