First and most hope Linda is doing well! And you look cold, the white caps on the river, NO, NO, Thank you. I like that bike, I don't want or need a folding bike. But as a question on batteries, in two to three years I will need new, replacement parts. Are they going to be available, and how much, does a batterie cost? thank you stay safe ALL
You can buy a replacement battery, which happens to have a larger capacity of 14ah, for $459. Also, these batteries are rebuildable by someone who knows how to do it, and there are places that offer that service.
Very good review, the only thing missing is the time required to fully recharge the battery. I am going to look into one. I would go for the top cross bar model, easier to mount a scabbard when I go out for pest control here in ND during calving season.
Thank you for your wonderful review! In a few days I should be recieving this exact same bike! Super happy about it, and your take on it even makes it sweeter! Thanks again!
Thanks Mona. Even at this price they're not cheap, but could save a person a lot of money if it's used in place of a car. During the nicer months where I live, I use mine for most of my in-town errands and leave my car in the garage.
I like them because they flatten out the hills with their power assist. Makes for a very enjoyable ride. Linda is doing fine and is looking forward to getting the cast off this week. She's not complaining about my cooking yet, but I don't think she can hold back much longer!
Hello Dave. It says that the battery it comes with cannot be "changed", meaning you can't substitute the larger battery that is available for this bike. If you want the larger battery you need to purchase it extra.
@@gonagain sorry misread thank you. Still my concern is, a disposable bike, in 2 years, old school hate waste, got a 1932 pick up still was not meant to be around that long but is, you get my point

This has nothing to do with this video but we are loving this Oatman Az area for boondocking. It has hundreds of places where you can camp by yourself. We even saw a few Coyotes and Wild Burro. Love your informative videos. We wanted to meet you and Linda before her accident but are doing the Pacific Northwest in 24 and hope to see you somewhere down the road. Have to head back East in a few weeks
Hello Teresa! She's supposed to get the cast off tomorrow, and we're hoping to hit the road again soon. I think there's some rehab that she's going to have to do first though.
I appreciate you doing the reviews we are in the process of moving and we’re going to be close to a lake that has quite a few trails around it so this big boy needs to get in shape 🤣
Great job, Looking forward to your next vid. How's Linda's foot? Was hoping to see her today. Surprised you have time to do a review while serving her every need.... ;o) Hope she up and about. Oh ya, my wife is going in to have the rod and screws removed from her ankle on 30March22, We will have a 6hr ride home after she is released from the outpatient procedure, OUCH back seat will be set up as a couch. sorry for the long comment
I've heard of folks having the plate and screws removed after a broken ankle heals, but they say it's usually not necessary. We hope Linda doesn't have to do that. Yeah, we're chomping at the bit to get back on the road again (if we can afford the gas!)
Hope to see some new adventures soon. We roll on lectric. Not the best, not really like riding bikes when I was a kid in the 70's. Wife says she never got to ride much bikes when she was young. So she is unsure on hers. I do like this ride.🤙 We're changing our setup so maybe I can ditch the folding bike, for something like this.
Linda won't be riding again after her accident, but I will still be bringing a bike along on all of our trips because of the need for a scouting rig. It's nice to be able to check out a road without having to walk it!
@@gonagain I'm with you there. I don't think my wife will do to much biking either. I would like to come up with something we both could ride in. Side-by-side is to big. Maybe some kind of electric vehicle. That area is expanding everyday. Definitely need a scouting rig.
Hi Rick. I plan to buy an E-bike this year. I will use it pretty much the same as you do. A scouting, hiking, and auxiliary emergency vehicle in case of break down. Out of the four bikes and companies you've tried which one would you buy with this purpose in mind. Tell Linda to get well. We miss her.
Linda is getting her cast off tomorrow and couldn't be happier! You ask a hard question about which ebike to get. First, decide on which frame style looks the best to you for your needs. A cargo bike, like the Fiido T1 Cargo that I reviewed? or maybe a 26" fat tire bike to handle the rough roads better? How big a bike can you handle? The cargo bikes are smaller and easier to maneuver, but actually weigh about the same as a full-size fat tire bike. As for which company, the warranty says it all, so check that out first. The quality of the bikes I've reviewed so far is remarkable in that they are all really good. I'm working on a review of my first full-size fat tire ebike and I sure like the way it handles the rough roads. Stay tuned for that.
@@gonagain Thanks Rick. I'm your size and age. A little right hip problems. So a step through would probably work better. Build quality is most important to me. It has to hold up to back road riding. It seems like a solidly built bike and is well priced. 2 questions - is the handlebar height adjustable and how comfortable is the seat on longer rides
It could stand a more comfortable seat and those are easily available online. The handlebar height is fixed and only the tilt is adjustable. Either yourself or a bike shop can install a different stem that is taller.
You really caught some good angles of this bike. It looks great and the paint jobs on these core 5’s look great. The 500w motor with the light weight must really push this bike well. I have a 500w motor ebike that weighs 65lbs and it moves along pretty good.
@@gonagain Important question, I am using this bike in Minnesota and its extremely cold here. Is it ok to leave it outside when I am in college in class?
