- Honda Elevate, a compact SUV, is finally introduced in India. By 2030, Honda wants to introduce five further SUVs in India, with this one being the first. In Honda India's range, the Elevate sits above the Amaze.
The Honda Elevate has a brash and powerful appearance. A massive grille with a substantial chrome surround dominates the front fascia. The LED headlights provide a sleek, swept-back appearance. Strong shoulder lines and massive 16-inch alloy wheels define the side profile. LED taillights and a twin exhaust system are featured on the back.
The Honda Elevate's cabin is roomy and nicely furnished. The dashboard has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and is tastefully designed. Digital and analogue dials are combined in the instrument cluster. The seats are supportive and cosy. Both front and rear passengers have plenty of headroom and legroom in the Elevate.
A comprehensive variety of features are included with the Honda Elevate as standard equipment.
- Informational touchscreen device with a 7-inch display and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- climate control that is automatic
- cruise control
- sensors for rear-parking
- push-button start
- Keyless entry
- four power windows
- Powered-adjustable mirrors
- EBD and ABS
- Dual airbags
A 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine with 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque powers the Honda Elevate. The 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmissions are paired with the powerplant.
Performance and fuel economy are well-balanced in the Elevate. It has a top speed of 170 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds. Additionally, the Elevate achieves fuel economy ratings of 15.31 km/l in the city and 16.92 km/l on the highway.
The riding quality of the Honda Elevate is smooth. It absorbs potholes and bumps well. The suspension is calibrated nicely and provides a good compromise between comfort and handling. In constrained locations, the Elevate is very simple to manoeuvre. A subcompact SUV with a superb blend of performance, fuel economy, features, and safety is the Honda Elevate. It is a terrific option for those seeking a sleek, useful SUV at a reasonable price.
The Honda Elevate is priced from Rs. 11.04 lakh to Rs. 16.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Compared to the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun, the Honda Elevate has the following advantages:
Compared to the Kushaq and Taigun, the Elevate has a longer wheelbase and a wider stance, giving passengers greater leg and shoulder room. Additionally, it offers a bigger boot space. The Elevate offers better value for money because to its somewhat reduced pricing compared to the Kushaq and Taigun.
The grille, headlights, and bumper on the 2023 Nexon have all been updated. The headlamps are now sleeker and more contemporary, and the grille is now larger and more imposing. New fog lights and air intakes have been added to the bumper, which has also undergone remodelling.

Superb video!! Thank you so much for this. Crisp and clear.
CVT noise is also high. Road noise, I noticed air booming and wind noise at 80+ speed. I didn't notice any rattling noise. Many are facing issues with infotainment system.
I'm planning for a new car and Elevate is in list. I want a no-nonsense car. Insulation ke liye aftermarket damping sheet can be used. They can add some wow features in the car e.g. ventilated seats, front and rear dash cam etc. Panaromic sunroof isn't very helpful. But can be added in one of the trim to add a wow factor.
Bought it. Happy with the car. Insulation is just okay not great. I feel the engine is a little noisy. I agree with you. But Creta and Kia are very unsafe cars. Not worth comparing. Also let's not forget that it has been priced very sensibly and competitively. German cars are also doing lot of cost cutting. VW and Skoda customers have reported expensive maintenance and service quality issues. Their cars are also not very reliable. Too many sensors that fail overtime. Creta is ugly from my view. This looks very classy. The Adas is Fantastic! I am getting city mileage of 14 kpl after 1st service.
*Update after 5 months*
No more rough engine noise. It has itself become very smooth and buttery. In fact melodious.
Bumper to bumper congestion mileage.. expect it to vary around 12 kpl . Normal city traffic it gives between 13.6 to 14.1.
Highway mileage - Yet to see
How, can you tell me what mileage you got till now in city and highway .
@@agilsrmurthy2578 hi. I'm getting between 13.9 and 14.1 kpl in city traffic in Bangalore (infamous for congestion). Haven't used on long drive yet, so cannot really tell you for highways. Mine is ZX MT
@@amansinha476 Want to check what made you go for MT in bangalore traffic? I am confused between MT and CVT for here in Bangalore. CVT sounds like the logical choice but MT in elevate should be fun to drive.
Honda elevate zx cvt worth for money
Only thing i hate adas for that they should give global 5star rating ,improve power (100km need in 9.5second) , ambient light ,360 camera ,subwoofer ,panaromic sunroof & ventilated seat 🙌
Excellent review.
Companies are smart. Like in Honda Elevate, if you want to avoid ADAS2 and go for VX variant, they remove other very useful features such as 6 air bags. All brands do this and tempt customer to go for specific variant.
Yes the top end variants are always having something tempting that the user who has decided to go with mid variants will definitely think about the top variants and especially when it's for long term they will think 1 lk is nothing for 10 year ownership
I own a 2018 Honda City Vx (Petrol CVT). You are spot on about reliability and power of the engine. Five years gone and the looks still feel premium. The issues are noise insulation, stiff suspension with little travel which makes you feel each and every surface irregularity. This version of City also has lots of rattle from Dashboard and doors. The stiff suspension makes it worse. Does not feel planted at high speed. The worst portion is that the company never approached me for product feedback. They are not well connected to customers.
I think he is talking about Honda Elevate and not Honda city.
I've booked Honda Elevate VX Reinforced MT variant in June. Any update regarding the delivery of the VX Reinforced variant?
I am planning to buy this car as a family car..my budget is 15 lakhs, thinking to buy sv or v manual by next year...should i go with this car..
I can compromise in features but i like premium feel and less service headache in future.. i want a car for atleast 15 years pless tell😊
Hi prakyat......i have 3rd hand wagnor for driving practice and planning to buy first actual car for my family.....
Automatic Elevate and automatic xuv300 is on my mind and confused.
. ignoring budget and milage... which car is best in all aspects according to you especially keeping for 10+ years
Well, I was forced to go with VX MT in Amaze because there was no Cruise Control in VX CVT.
Lot of effort and hard work, thank Bro 🤟
I sincerely hope Honda comes out with ADAS on its Amaze 2024 CVT. That would beat almost all competition in the compact budget sedan segment.
Thanks. Please do a video on CVT as well.
Is there friction in manual transmission, I felt at test drive
Super video. Coukd you please help me in selecting the variant. I am planning to buy ZX variant, but confused between Manual and CVT. I live in Hyderabad and based on the traffic my friends suggesting to take CVT. But i am in dialemma which one need to take.
Same here
You told Honda city is better in highspeed stability but that's not true, city never had a great highspeed stability as city's suspension is softer than elevate and the biggest improvement in elevate is the suspension which is better than city and offers better stability and handling. Just because city sits lower and closer to the ground, it doesn't warrant for better handling, here elevate actually is better.
What’s the NCAP safety ratings of this car
I purchased 2023 model zx manual in 16 lacs with accessories…does anyone got better price?
Good video good research comprehensive one
Hi Prayakt.. Can you make a comparison video b/w Kushaq and Elevate pls.?
Why Bangalore University? Why not Nice road?
Very elaborate and informative video.
The difference in the quality of the seats and poor soft touch on the door in vx variant is very disappointing. Also no radar, panaromic sunroof, ventilated seats even on the top end is still not cutting it. Unlike city the seats quality is not consistent across the trims. That’s a bummer. Also, better mileage needed atleast as city. Still not value for money in 20lkhs
Keep up the good work
CTVT transmission came in which model of Elevate please tell me which model I have to buy of Honda Elevate 😂😂🙏🌹

Thanks!!👍🌹
50%town and 50%city and हायवे,13 लॅक बजेट 14 लाख, honda elevaet like
Well explained
Very good review
Instead of this honda would have launched wrv update
Still NOT better than TATA NEXON Turbo Petrol🔥
I wish honda brings more cars to india.....like sub 4 m suv...7 seater....now diesel market is declining...its time for honda stronghold indian market because they have they are the best manufacturers of petrol engine world wide....they shoul bring hybrids at economical cost
Honda tried Mobilio in India. I would assume that they are not going down the 7 seater range anytime in the near future.
How useful is Cruise control anyway ?! In India even on the highway there is so much traffic. Most drivers do not follow lane discipline which makes slowing down a regular necessity!
😂 No turbo
Very small sunroof
No cooling glove box
No 360 degree camera
No ventilated seats
No electric parking ( old handle type hand break )
No electricaly adjustable driver seat
No 3rd row head rest
No port C charging
No A or C port for charging for rear seat ( only 12v outdated port is there )
No sunglass holder
Manual key hole on door exposed and looks ugly
Spare wheel made of steel not alloy
No disc brake back wheel ( drum break given )
Not sophisticated infotainment screen ( as per review not as good as in nexon )
No heads-up display
Small fuel capacity 40 litre ( other cars 50 litre )😂
Parts cost you mentioned Honda lies between Hyundai and VW but its actually same or similar to Hyundai... Hyundai psrts are also as expensive as Honda as per my friend's and relatives' cars. Only Maruti psrts are cheap and with part sharing even bigger cars' parts are not expensive
Such a great review bro. Appreciate your work, I have one ques,
for more stability. is it good to damp all the door?
Excellent analysis, Comprehensive and structured. Thanks for sharing.
Just bought 7 days back and trip
Mumbäi to gujrat (Diu)
1700 km up down
Its amazing car go for it
Happy with VX CVT
HEY BROTHER YOUR INFO IS PERFECTLY FINE VERY NICE 👍 KEEP IT UP
mileage kitna hai?
@@im4320 12
I am having V CVT . Getting mileage of 10-11 in city in morning 9 and evening 6, Delhi traffic, in initial 400-500km drive
I owned ZX manual, even in city massive jammed traffic, mileage is 14.5 , driver must ensure that engine rpm should not cross beyond 2000 rpm, apart of mikeage pickup is as good as of with natural aspirated go like rocket, suspension buttery soft
Groud clerance luggage space maximum in the segment
I took test ride of Elevate and I can relate with your review. Overall I liked the car but I strongly feel that Honda should have given Cruise control in all CVT variants or atleast with VX. I have delayed my plans because of this missing feature in VX. Now creta is launching in Next month, I will not be surprised if elevate sales goes down in coming months once we have facelift creata and may be curvv by the year end.
Updates: Took the test ride again and the noise insulation is another issue which I didn't like about. If you are going to spend 19 lacs on a car , the silent cabin is something which I would prefer. This could be okay for some ppl but do notice this when you go for the test ride. Apart from this noise issue zx is very good car.
Creta will be a toss on safety for sure, it is a 2 star vehicle, 3 was given with margin of edge
@@richaverma403 I think Hyundai is working on safety aspects also , verna is good example of that. If they could provide safety in creta that will be a perfect product though it is already a segment topper.
On the other hand Elevate is a good product and I like it but I am afraid that it will grab the initial sale numbers and as months pass it will be just another option in the segment. Not giving the option of Hybrid which is their in-house technology is a blunder.
Brother what you have decided?
I am also confused between creta elevate
If you want to spend 3-4 lac extra then you can go for Creta. But I would never buy Creta or Kia. It's now like bhed chaal on the road. Honda's engine are too good. Elevate looking very elegant with good pricing.
One question how do you rate the build quality. Comparison can be
5 for Vw
4 tata
3 hyundai
2 renault
1 maruti.
Where this car fits .. i heard the sheet metal is now down from honda city.
So bit concerned whether it matches tata or hyundai
But is segment mein i.e. Hyundai or Kia to bhi Adas nahi de rahe hai. Jabki Elevate mein top variant mein Adas diya hai. Haa agar City ki tarah Vx varient mein Adas dete to achcha hota.
Thanks dear today I seen your reel’s I serching so many cars after Honda Elevate review but 50% like this car I think VW taigun and Kushaq pl suggest 🙏
4:45 Your observation regarding mileage is very accurate. No other you-tubers mention it so precisely and accurately.
Thank you so much sir ❤
@@autocritic Hi great video! I’m planning to buy a Honda Elevate VX CVT and have a dealer-fitted CNG kit installed costing 80k with 3 year warranty as well.Considering my daily commute of 45 km per day in Gurgaon traffic, do you think this is a good decision? If you have any alternative suggestions, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!
Imagine honda Elevate is with 1.5 IVTEC Turbo...company's like skoda...VW...hundai could be in danger......even if Honda knows they dont care....
Good review. I agree with noise insulation part ... I realized it's good till 70 kmph speed after that it becomes noisy but with songs I could manage. BTW I just drove from Bangalore to Coorg and back (ZX CVT) and it gave me 16.3 kmpl for 695 km (which involves a lot of hill driving, little bit of city and quite a bit of expressway). On Bangalore-Mysore expressway (almost full on adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist with speed of 80kmph) it gave me 22+ kmpl mileage, when I reached Coorg it went down to 20kmpl.. later on with lots of hill drive and back to bangalore final number came to 16.3 which I consider very good. This is as per the MID display. One thing I notice if I run the car on idle on lights .. average drops down very fast .. not sure why .. may be it's the MID thing !!
Mileage depends completely on how one drives the car. At 80kmph 22 kmpl is not surprising at all for Elevate. People who crib about mileage usually are the ones who think they are F-1 drivers when it comes to speed.
After looking at many ACC reviews, I think I did mistake by buying VX variant. Should have gone for ZX
I have booked elevate v cvt
@cctiwari hi did you feel CVT under power while climbing over a hilly terrain?
@sanjayk I feel vx is perfect variant. If you want to have ADAS then only you should spend 2 lacs more. But again 6 airbags n cruise ctrl are missing from vx. Honda did huge costs cutting wherever they could. Cabin noise , no cooled glove box. Small things which could be handled.
I also bought a ZX top variant. I noticed Noise factor during test drive too.....but overall I liked this as a package as my deciding factor was good headroom and high commanding sitting position.
Though apparent cost cutting is disappointing. Honda must consider it. I was being offered top variant of Skoda kushaq in same price which offers the advantage of Turbo engine, ventilated seats, and electrically adjustable seats. Other lacunas are absent TMPS and Gear indicators on partial digital console.
Why did you buy elevate over kushaq? Were you getting 1.5 kushaq engine at same price ???
@@chetanbhosale350 No, 1.0 style variant after year end discount.
Elevate has advantage of cabin space, but cost cutting on TMPS is sad.
Whats your mileage like ?
I'll be elevating myself with a ZX CVT Elevate very soon 😊
Have you uploaded any video on Mg hector? Please confirm as I am thinking of buying it. Thank you.
I took a test drive twice. The first time, on a highway, I experienced some noise at speeds over 40 mph. On another day, on a rough road, I noticed significant lateral and vertical movements as you said I felt car is loosing balance on speed breakers, which raised doubts about the suspension or design. Why do you think it has this issue?
Also car was smelly probably as it was standing in sun on a hot day and as per the dealership person it was the smell of leatherette seats
Very nice review. I had a test drive of the honda elevate ZX manual on the highway. Its a very good car in terms of comfort, looks, interiors, handling and performance.
The NVH levels however are annoying on the highway. The NVH is well contained in the city in slow traffic. but on the highway its too high for my liking.
i had to reconsider my purchase.
Thanks for the frank review. Very few reviews on the internet mention the NVH issue.
The NVH issues are not easy to correct by the user. Hope Honda will correct this issue soon.
Right.
NVH pretty high
I am planning to replace the engine oil after 1000-1200 kms as a proactive engine optimisation and cleansing take, what do you think on this?
I am planning to do this on my Amaze. Took delivery yesterday. Made the Service mechanic check the oil, it was synthetic that comes pre loaded. Which is nice of them. I am planning to get the Engine oil and Oil Filter changed for the first service / 1000 kms. Service engineer assures me that its not required and first engine oil change is scheduled at 10,000 kms / 1 year, well, i still would definitely replace the oil and filter at 1000.
How do we know that you are genuine.
I took a test drive, the noise something is annoying, rest all are good ( not impressive).
Steering feel connected.....nice ride and handling...suspension is best....most reliable engine...segment best space....best road presence .wat u expect in a car
Don't mislead people. Why do people are afraid of criticizing famous brands.
The engine doesn't seem eager at all, the power delivery is not good at lower rpm end at all. Honda engine have so low torque at lower end, and it's the same case here. The only way to feel a bit of engine power/torque if you rev it till red line, which again everyone knows ivtc does. The steering is on heavy side, feel is typical nothing exceptional. Suspensions are definitely good. So overall it does the job but not a fun to drive car.
My prediction in a few months it's sale is going to drop like wrv.
I took a test drive from 2 different showrooms in Indore and I noticed a particular issue with it’s manual transmission. Whenever I tried to shift gear, the engine revs increased for a second of so till the shift is completed. Not really noticeable in low revs but really becomes pronounced at high revs. It’s a very unique issue that I have seen in any car. Those unnecessary revs while shifting gears just take away from the driving experience. Can any Elevate owner confirm upon this? Or is it that it was particularly issue with the pre-production units?
It makes noise when i release from brake pedal , on first service i asked about this Mechanics dont know
Elevate VX CVT
Post sale support is poor
Should I upgrade from current city model to elevate.would this be a wise decision
Sir, I have skoda kushaq 1.0 ltr. 2 days before, I have driven Hinda Elevate CVT transmission. Before taking Kushaq, I have driven Honda City. In terms of handling Kushaq is brilliant. But, in terms of comfort Elevate is excellent. Elevate felt little bit noisy. I can say noisy car in this segment.
If you are bored with City then, take Honda elevate. Otherwise no need to update. The strong point of Honda elevate is driver position. It will.give you suv feel.
You missed the cost cutting like the screw caps that’s removed from behind the door open latch. Compared to city comfort is very poor especially in the rear seat. Especially middle seat which is not at all useable for adults.
Paying 20L and these basic is very very poor.
Not upto the mark when you pay 20L
Kushaq is comfortable or not and what about cabin noise in it? Should I go and buy kushaq if it’s reliable?
Hi, I liked ur video, specially because its unbiased.
if u feel like u may add
1. boot space,
2. ground clearance,
3. spare wheel,
4. wheels size,
5. bonet (hydraulic/ manual), steering tilt/telescopic,
6. any fancy tech,
7. 4*4 (if any) dedicated sections
I drove this Honda Elevate vxi of a friend and the Average while driving was coming 24.6 km/L
Does it make sense to purchase a Honda 300F now. If not please suggest an alternative.
Skoda Kushaq is bit better but looks smaller Car
Good video Bro. Is Mileage lesser than Creta 2024 same petrol variants? Not able to find its Honest mileage for automatic on youtube - lots of fake videos Bro😢
We had owned 1st Gen City and was driven around 1.2lac without any issues, currently driving jazz and its clocked 70000 km without any problems.
Our next car will be either City or Elevate.
Honda's reliability is top notch and peace of mind is unparalleled!!
Honda bhaag ne wala hai😂
@ Auto Critic - Hows the Elevate Body build quality compared to Taigun? Hows the sheet thickness and Paint quality vs Taigun ? Be honest
The looks in the videos are actually descent. The front has got a boxy and bold design but the rear looks little like a jacked up hatchback. The width of the car could have been more like 1810 - 1830 mm. Apt recipe for an SUV with ground clearance and commanding driving position but without any 4 wheel drive hardware.
Honda could have given 1.5 L turbocharged IVTEC engine which produces around 175 bhp and it's available in other Asian markets for HRV, Civic, etc... Rest all are typical Honda - quality, reliability and durability.
Number 1 car in this segment....
Love from Haryana ❤
How many videos on single car? Repeated videos of Ekevate, punch , exter, kushaq, Fronx,,,,,,
Please make video on Brezza TC...

HELLO JI,I AM GOING TO BOOK ELEVATE VX CVT MODEL.I THINK ITS GOOD & VALUE FOR 💰MONEY
You can add Insulation by spending another 20-30 k. But I think Japanese engineers over estimate our road surface and think that much insulation is not needed.
My only concern is cabin noise in this car else this is probably an amazing option in this segment
Thanks for the detailed review,Being Honda fan I am little disappointed with Honda Elevate.
Honda HRV looks great ,They could have bought that design here from global market to India.
Engine with Hybrid option was needed ,Honda Hybrid Engines are out of the world no one can beat them here .(am not a turbo fan).
Lovely break up of the timeline and every minute made sense - I own Honda Elevate ZX CVT -- its a fantastic machine to treasure for many many years!
Can we turn off the ADAS features completely and activate only when we want? Or does ADAS turn on automatically every time the car starts..?
@@AB-mo8zp it activates everytime we start. I own ZX Mt.. LOVELY MACHINE
Engine is not the same as earlier, now it’s double overhead camshaft and earlier it was single…..

Excellent video, can you also review CVT ZX/VX version?
Good review.... But on highway I have got mileage of 22+ for more than 100 km drive. Overall 17 for a trip of 635 km where 25% drive was in city with bumper to bumper traffic and lot of traffic jams.
Great review. Just a small suggestion, when you're providing factors, you can add small comparison in the same segment, like in this case, Creta/Seltos/Kushaq. You draw a good comparison though where Elevate stays when compared to other brands.
Thank you so much for the feedback
Fine review. Really covered all the key points. Also the point on the engine, how it is differently calibrated compared to the city, is really nice. Think this will Really makes a huge difference when it comes to drivability. Also good that u have used English a good bit in the review. I understand this better. Thanks !
Thank you so much for your kind words, hope you are already part of the family ❤️
1) Top speed 167,
2) back row reclining is not there 3) under thai support is 50-50.
Top speed if it was 200 then it great.
If recliner was there its great
Under thai support was more then its great
Honda has compromised with quality in Elevate and far behind in feel and look with Koreans.
1.Poor insulation.
2.Road noise
3.Substandard dashboard fitting with front glass finger can enter in between glass and dashboard
3.Missing metal chassis on the front wheel and plastic cladding is very thin and can be pressed easily by finger.
4.Sound in the power windows when up and down didn't feel good and premium.
5.Engine noise.
6. Notchy gear shifts.
7. Missing door rubber insulation clearly cost cutting.
8. Driver seat and passenger seat is not suitable for tall people's.
Very good and honest review. Can you please advise on how it perform on hills areas
Insulation नहीं दोगे तो कैसे चलेगा ...you nailed it mate.
Can you please do review of Brezza like this ?
I do own i20, self driven, with 3 members family...Now I do want to upgrade to suv. I do go long tour with family n friends....
My priorities are safety, performance reliability, and handling.
Now short-listed Xuv300 Turbo and Honda Elevate.
Budget around 12-14 Lakhs.
Pl do suggest which one I should go for...
Go with Honda but if possible try to buy the higher varient.
I wanted a highway cruiser.. Went for city
Between 2:55 till 3:00 minutes a legend passed the Elevate. Miss the legend.
VX second top model me Cruise control missing sunroof nahi hota to chalta 👎
Good review. The vehicle seems to have another issue/manufacturing defect (checked on multiple vehicles) in automatic (CVT) transmission. When the brake is partially released on a still car (no hand brake, and in D mode) the brakes make weird metal clanking noise. Service center says it’s normal but don’t see this happening as often in other cars as in elevate. Anyone else noticed this?
yes me too and its pretty normal
Excellent analysis......very comprehensive in the empirically required fields....rest all are personal specific likings...Should be sufficient to make the right decisions.
a good review of any vehicle ... keep it up
I've cancelled my nexon creative + booking and booked elevate zx. What do you think?
Good decision
Dear sir, nicely described all details, fantastic presentation, keep shining, all the best 👍
Good Review - Please cover the CVT trim as well from engine/power/hill driving point of view
Good Review. How about essential accessories for Elevate?
Kindly also include best value for money variants to buy for the car which is being reviewed in each of your videos. Thanks 👍
