The famous interview at the "Ministry of Sound"... Dave was so wasted, it was painful to watch. Alan had to save him several times because he wasn't making sense.
😹
And Dave hated him for that
Alan was saving Dave from himself in this interview. Thank god he’s sober now.

It doesnt seems to be a rescue, instead, it looks like Dave was annoyed at Alan interruption.
Quizá Alan toma la palabra porque a Dave se lo veía disgustado o aburrido.
Ni una sonrisa de Martin salvaba el pesado momento!
Unfortunately Dave Gahan was having major drug issues and close to an overdose in California at the time of this interview.
The full interview shows Dave in a cloud of confusion. Dave was making no sense and martin and fletch just sat there and did nothing to take the attention away from the fact that something was going on with Dave Gahan. So Alan Wilder jumped in to try to take the attention off Dave's display of addiction .
Actually in the album songs of faith and devotion. All of the band members admit that it was Alan Wilder who did basically everything. and they thought it was funny except Alan Who shortly after this interview left the band. And they cant change the fact that Violator is still there most sold album To date.
Thanks to Alan who put them on the map after
Vince Clark left. I'm glad that Dave survived his addiction issues and is doing his very best today. Definitely lessons learned.
@@artistdannyrock9147 definitly a good explanation. It's a question of perspective then
Because Alan is the only one not fcked up

Alan to the rescue❤❤❤
Sorry, Dave was off his face on this, and Alan had to step in. He and Flood held the band together for 2 years while the other 3 went off the rails. It’s no wonder he didn’t want to do it again and left. Shame though, I wish he hadn’t

I don't know. It seems to me that Dave is upset that he couldn't say what he wanted...
True, it seems that it was difficult for him. See "you know, just you know" But then his body language shows he's not really happy that Alan takes over. In fact, we can see this in the end. I think the interviewer noticed that he was flapping and shaking his head, so he asks him a question directly, which Alan starts again. Dave responds, "Yeah...yes"" and Alan continues. This video is a perfect example of the chaos within the band at the time that we didn't get to see. That's just my personal opinion(!)
Nobody likes being talked over
Agree. In my opinion, I feel this isn't the first time based upon Dave's deep frustration & pent up anger. Drugs or no drugs, anyone would be annoyed. Been there & handled it professionally. So happy to see he overcame his addiction & now he's a legend & success.
Just in case you didn’t know but Dave and Alan were the closest to each other in the band.
@@4EVERLaRu Agreed. ✌🏻
@@AlexMoonrize Are you told me about Depeche Mode? That's cute! 😅 DEVOTEE 💜 FOREVER

100%
OMG Dave in a proper strop here
poor Dave😢
Dave is thinking, Sea of sin I’m livin’ in and I’m taking a dive.
Alan did save him. But David doesn’t seem to happy about it. Or maybe he’s just not happy to be there at all. Either way, David or DM wouldn’t have been near as successful as they were without Alan.
Oh my God this is INSANE! I've never heard Dave aay "you know" so many times during an interview

Alan saved him many more times than this and from many more things than a bad interview. How does he repay him, like a selfish junkie…did nout. Thanks for nothing, MANNNNNN!
Los envidiosos junto a alan wilder.
