"How many songs do they have already ?"
Well, with the release of their new album, Bang Chan has officially passed 100 songs registered with KOMCA, so... yeah they release a lot of songs.
Their minis are all on the verge of counting as full albums, considering they've consistently had 1 intro + 6 tracks + 1 bonus track for the physical release. Most groups add three songs to repacks - IN LIFE added 7 (and an expanded version of the previous album's intro, turning it into a full length song).
And that's just for the official albums, since a lot of solo /subunit songs are RUclips exclusives.
The group as a whole is passionate about their craft and quite a lot of their online content is centered around their creative process. They also have TONS of MVs, of course B-sides don't get the title track high budget ones, but there's still a lot of care put into them, be it to show off choreography or just their fun side in the Street Version MVs (where they take the "Stray Kids everywhere all Around The World" slogan very literally, the general concept of these videos being them goofing off in the streets of a different city each time ; for obvious reasons we haven't got any since COVID hit, and not gonna lie... I miss them because they're a lot of fun).
As for song recommendations, it's super hard for me to pick just a few, actually I recommend you listen to everything in order ^^; Their lyrics are what bring the albums together IMO, much like BTS it's the themes that make their albums, albums, rather than a collection of sonically diverse songs. Don't skip on their B-sides, they're fantastic and show a wide range of styles.

@@WatchwithSandee I second the recommendation to listen to them all in order. SKZ has three separate storylines -- one in the title tracks and a lot of b-sides and trailers/unveils, one in the Japanese tracks, and one in the mixtapes. Elements from the storylines appear all over the place in the vids, and if you don't watch from the very beginning, it's essentially impossible to ever get a handle on what's happening (we can barely follow it even when we _have_ watched in order AND Chan literally gave us a narrated summary video).

SKZ has well over 100 songs already (and that was before NOEASY dropped). They not only have official releases, but also unofficial releases by solo members or various combinations of some of the members, encompassing original songs, vocal covers, dance covers, and original dances, which they release exclusively on the SKZ-Record (audio only) and SKZ-Player (audio + visual) sections of their yt channel. You'll learn a LOT about them as individual people and artists through the independent stuff they choose to produce and release through those outlets.
If you go on Stray Kids official youtube channel you'll find a few playlists like skz-records skz-player, these have all their solo (some small groups) songs and dance projects. Highly highly highly recommend in addition to their official released stuff
I wanna recommend their 2 most viewed songs first so Gods Menu and Back Door. Also ill recommend my favorites Blueprint, Levanter, and Easy. Great reaction and i hope you enjoy Skz as much as me.

Ok, so, welcome to Stayville, where some of us are utterly compelled to go around and egregiously overshare when someone seems interested in SKZ. I'm so so so sorry in advance for the entire novel I'm about to drop on you...
Things I'm responding to as I watch:
1) They all rap, sing, dance, and are visuals. Every single one of them will be in various songs doing any or all of these. SKZ has no set positions other than producer(s) and leader (like most guides, this one makes the error of using terms like "main rapper" or "lead vocal" and whatnot). Lee Know is the dance leader (not lead dancer), which is unofficially official, but that's it. Literally no other set positions AT ALL.
2) 3RACHA (three-racha, a play on sriracha hot sauce) is the producing line (not the rapline, as is commonly misstated). Unlike even most of the rare groups that participate in production, they don't "have a heavy hand in their music production" and aren't "acting producer" -- they are quite literally the main producers of the entirety of SKZ's discography. They write virtually all the lyrics and create virtually all the tracks; while they sometimes bring in additional producers, that's usually during the engineering stage, and even when not, 3RACHA are usually the main, first-listed producers at every stage of production. They decide song and album titles, song and album themes, tracklists, even made their own logo. They have unprecedented creative freedom, basically.
3) Hyunjin knows he's beautiful and doesn't mind it being appreciated. But there's some unpleasant history with him being dismissed and shat upon as Just a Visual and being discouraged from trying to develop as anything else because "you're pretty, so just be pretty." He's specifically said that he wants to be appreciated for the incredibly hard work he's put into developing as an artist, not for being born pretty. So it's a sensitive topic, and we generally try to respect his request to be talked about for his dancing or rapping or singing or the other skills he continues to develop (he's taken up drawing/painting/graphic artwork and did the cover for "OH"; he's also been doing more and more independent writing and producing).
4) If you like watching BTS stuff, you might like Stray Kids' covers of Dionysus and DNA.
5) You seemed to really like Hyunjin's dance covers. Those are some of the things you'll find on SKZ-Player/SKZ-Record. There's a LOT more to see, from pretty much everyone.
6) Speaking of mumble rappers, Chan tends to mumble rap not infrequently, especially in 3RACHA songs (as in, 3RACHA as a rap group that operates independently of SKZ and releases their own music, as opposed to 3RACHA as the producing unit inside of SKZ). But Hyunjin didn't mumble rap (although his diction wasn't strong, true); he mispronounced words and sometimes stammered/stumbled. We watched him work himself to the bone until his lips practically bled to improve his rap during the survival predebut period; Changbin in particular guided him. Anyway, sometimes you will still hear him stumble or stammer or lose a word when he speaks (more than most people), which highlights how much of an accomplishment his solid rapping is and how much work it took.
7) Yes, that's Chan's talking voice. He gets called people's emotional support kpop boy for a reason. That clip is from the vlive he holds EVERY SINGLE WEEK where he just goes live at night and listens to music with fans (and non-fans) and gives advice and support and just generally tries to put as much nontoxic positivity as he can out into the world.
8) If you have trouble picking Hyunjin out of the group for a while, just look for 1] the tallest member (SKZ are the shortest overall boy group, but Hyunjin is their tallest) and 2] DRAMA. He's their official drama llama. (He also has a small mole below his left eye, if that helps.)
9) Yes, every single member is an all-rounder. Which makes Han being their official "cheat key" even more impressive. He's considered the all-rounder in an entire group of all-rounders. Rapper, singer, dancer, producer, lyrical genius, comedian, moodmaker.
10) Yes, they literally all rap.
11) That Runner's High clip (24:05) by 3RACHA? Han was 16 years old at that moment, and already THAT good. (And yeah, they wrote and produced that song, of course.)
12) Almost all SKZ lyrics have deep meaning, which is why new listeners are always encouraged by a bazillion Stays to pay attention to the lyrics in every song. (Han and Changbin write most of those lyrics, btw.) Official SKZ songs, separate 3RACHA rap songs, and various unofficial SKZ-Player/SKZ-Record releases all address things like depression/anxiety/mental illness, suicide, bullying, loneliness, despair, etc. The members are pretty open and vulnerable about their mental-health issues and overall emotional states, and they use the music to heal themselves as well as listeners. Han in particular struggles with anxiety that sometimes leaves him unable to interact, and he doesn't hide it, even when it means he can't participate in group events because he's having an attack.
13) Being Australian, both Chan and Felix are native English speakers. Han spent much of his childhood in Malaysia, where he attended an international school and had a lot of exposure to English, so he's pretty comfortable with it; he's not perfect, but he's conversant and has a good knowledge of English wordplay. Seungmin lived in the US in grade school for a bit, and while it wasn't long, he picked up English quickly and retained a lot of it, and Seungmin is the designated Good Student of the group and has worked on his own to maintain and improve his English. Hyunjin's English wasn't that great when they first formed SKZ, but he wanted to be able to talk directly with English-speaking fans, so he put in a lot of effort and has been taking English classes, and his English has skyrocketed in the last 1-2 years. Changbin's English isn't that strong, but like Han, he has an ear for clever wordplay, and he's slowly picking up more English. Lee Know's and I.N's English is the weakest, but neither of them is really bothered by that. And literally every single non-Aussie member continues to pick up more and more of Chan and Felix's accent, to the point where we tease Hyunjin and Seungmin in particular about being part of the Aussie line. Summary: 2 native English speakers, 3 conversant speakers, 1 spotty speaker, 2 disinterested non-speakers, and everyone sounds Australian at this point.
14) Those are very much real freckles. Felix's freckles are infamous in-fandom. (Chan also has freckles, but they're much less prominent, and he doesn't point them out much.) There's actually vids out there where you can see him practically in tears as he stands on stage and uses his sleeves to wipe off his makeup as fans yell to him that this freckles are beautiful. (It's the overtly toxic kpop industry; we all know and see how they try to hide anything "different" and shame anything seen as a flaw, and they very much treated Felix's freckles that way for a long time until fan adoration swayed things.)
15) Felix actually has enormous vocal range and control, but he almost exclusively sings the low kill points, in part because everyone else can do the higher stuff anyway, in part because the lower stuff is less stressful on his voice, and in part because he's reeeally not confident in his higher singing, even though we've heard him do it and he sounds like an angel when he's not holding back out of self-consciousness.
16) 28:37 Yes, that's Changbin.
17) Despite being third youngest, Felix is basically everyone's baby. (Han, Felix, & Seungmin are within 8 days' age of each other, the "triplets" of the group. Hyunjin is about 6 months older, but since they operate on Korean age figuring, they're all considered the same age as 2000s babies, even though the maknae, I.N, is actually closer in age at less than 5 months younger.)
18) Yes, 29:29 is Chan.
19) Yes, 29:42 is Han.
20) On Kingdom, in hardcore competition against five other groups, Felix basically turned every single member of every single competitor group into a Felix stan. They _adored_ him. He brought them cookies and brownies; they declared lifelong devotion. I think BTOB's Minhyuk might actually have filed adoption papers, and Ateez's Wooyoung literally declared Felix to be his son. Basically, everyone expects him to be a badass because of his voice, and then he comes in and is Soft Baby, and everyone who encounters him adores him.
pt 2:
21) The egg incident lives in infamy. The guide is absolutely right that you will encounter references to this frequently. You can find the whole clip out there just by searching "lee felix egg" or "chanlix egg". It's so random that of COURSE we seized on it as a permanent fandom meme.
22) Seungmin can be very warm, and we love him. But don't be fooled by the puppy charm. He's part of the savage line (along with Lee Know and I.N), and the spot is well earned. He gets away with a LOT because he knows how to verbally destroy someone while looking adorable.
23) Nope, the person who popped onto screen for a moment is Chan. Changbin is standing next to Seungmin farther back.
24) Seungmin frequenty gets referred to as the Myday president. His adoration for Day6 can't be overstated.
25) They have well over 100 songs, not counting the new album.
26) Maknae on Top is hilarious. It was basically a gift to I.N from Chan and Changbin, but I.N decided to get in on it too and helped write it. Half the maknaes in kpop immediately adopted it as their own anthem. The video is definitely worth watching, but you won't notice, let alone understand, 90% of the references/in-jokes until you've been thoroughly immersed in SKZ for a while and have seen the memes and popular clips and reality shows/games and so forth.
27) Don't be fooled by I.N's cuteness. As mentioned, he's part of the savage line, and unlike Seungmin, he doesn't try to hide it. If you asked his hyungs what he says to them most often, it would probably be "do you wanna get hit?" (literally, they even used this as a line in Maknae on Top). He loves them, but omg is he merciless. He'd just as soon leave the aegyo to Changbin and the babyness to Felix, and just rule the world. (Refer to my other comment about names, wherein he declared himself everyone's oppa.)

29) Now Seungmin is the one who has braces, and everyone finds it as adorable as when I.N had them. :)

They have like a crap ton of content especially music content. Soooo many in albums and a crazy amount of songs not released in the albums. It’s why stays are one of the top most spoiled fandoms in kpop. There’s content coming out constantly whether it’s music related, variety related, social media posts or live streams. If skz don’t release smthn we usually panic. If u take a break from skz u come back to an overwhelming amount of content which is currently what I’m drowning in

Hyunjin’s eyes are like Jaebeom’s
You want us to remind you about some songs so I am to remind you about "Victory song" - one of their best bsides they performed on MAMA2020 and ate the stage - when you will be reacting to the song you NEED to watch that performance also.
Second song you want us to remind is "Little star" by Hyunjin - he wrote and composed this song by himself, it's about his dog who passed away. The contemporary dance to Billie Eilish When the party over was choreographed by him and it's so beautiful I cried watching it. He can portrait the emotions by his dance really beautifully. He recently gave us also another self choreographed video to the song Play with fire and it's real FIRE - he got 12 mln views in just over a month. Hyunjin is know from his dancing skills and outstanding facial expressions and the most impressive fact is that he never danced before - he was street casted by some jype employee when he was shopping. He trained for 1,5 year to debut with Stray Kids and became main dancer. He is known as 4th gen main character and million fancam boy - apart from BTS members he has the most amount of fancams with over million views from all of the male idols - 11 and also he's got first place with the most viewed male fancam with his Psycho fancam. Recently he got even deeper into composing and writing songs and soon we will see MV to the song wrote and composed by him and Bang Chan called Red Lights which is sexy r&b track with 50 shades of Gray vibes 🙈
All of the SKZ members are all rounders and all of them participate in writing songs. They are making so many solo projects which aren't even included into albums it's crazy. Bang Chan alone is credited for 102 songs which makes him one of the top20 (he's 18th if I remember correctly) most copyrighted idols in the industry EVER and SKZ is a barely 3 year old group.
I'm so excited to watch your SKZ yourney, because they made me a k-pop stan and even if I listen to many groups I consider myself only as a STAY and I don't feel ashamed of loving them even if I'm more than 30 already 😋

@@WatchwithSandee That said, Bang Chan says his name pretty much exactly as it's written: Bang rhyming with sang and like a native English speaker would say "bang" for a gun sound or whatever, and Chan rhyming with stan. The native Korean speakers pronounce it the Korean way. Also, Chan is equally cool with using his English name, Chris, and you will hear him referred to as Bang Chan, Chan, Channie, Chris, and (when he lies really really badly about the lyrics of his thirst song) Christopher. And usually pretty much everyone who's not Korean and directly interacting with Felix calls him Felix, not Yongbok (his members go back and forth, though they usually just use Bokkie and Lix/Lixxie).
And of course, everyone else ends up with nicknames too. A few you'll run into:
Chan: I already gave the main ones
Lee Know/Minho: usually just gets called Lee Know or Minho, but occasionally Min (**see note regarding him and Seungmin); much like Han Jisung gets called different names by fans who came in predebut vs postdebut, same here -- predebut fans tend to use Minho; postdebut fans tend to use Lee Know (and actually more often than not, he and his members use Lee Know as well)
Changbin: Bin, Binnie, Dwaekki (Pig-Bunny/Pabbit)
Hyunjin: Jinnie, Jin, Prince, Hyunzales
Han/Jisung: a lot of Stays who've been around since predebut call him Jisung, but the majority who arrived after debut seem to go with Han (he settled on that as his stage name when they debuted, hence the divide in who calls him what); Hannie; Hanji; Quokka or Squirrel or Chipmunk
Felix: I already explained most of his, but there's also Sunshine by fandom and Haengbok (aka Happiness) by his members
Seungmin: usually just Seungmin, but sometimes Min or Puppy (**when you hear reference to 2Min, it's the combo of Lee Know [Minho] and Seungmin; they're the "divorced couple," and yeah, that really is their energy together)
Jeongin/I.N: either of those names, pretty much equally (same predebut/postdebut thing as Lee Know and Han -- Jeongin for predebuters, I.N for postdebuters), and his members use both; Innie; The Baby (this is not something he likes, ftr); Agi Bbang (baby bread); I.Nie (eye-en-ee); Maknae on Top (he literally has a song); and he will inform you he is Everyone's Oppa
Other than Changbin's Dwaekki, this doesn't even cover their SKZOO animal names or other occasional nicknames, but this will get you started. It's...a lot.

This was SO informative. The guide had names but some comments referred to names I didnt see in the guide. I just accepted that it'll take me a while to even understand extensions of someone's name, but this explanation helps SO MUCH

I would recommend starting off with God's Menu or District 9 next. God's Menu has been their most popular release (as of yet) and District 9 was their debut title track!
I’ve never been into kpop. Just casually enjoyed whatever kpop song is playing when I hear it like any random song. Stray Kids changed all that recently and here’s why.
They are, in the lack of better words, unique. They weren’t cherry picked by the company like how normal groups are formed. Chan chose them. They make all of their music unlike a huge chunk of the industry. It’s not really a big deal for people but for me, this was important bc I get to know them and connect to them as a person bc what they create is a part of them. Their songs have always been about their journey as human beings and as artists in the industry. They make their music to express themselves and not to be liked by the general public. I feel like its bc of that that they didn’t get popular immediately even if they’re from one of the biggest companies. They don’t stick to what’s trendy. Some even said that they created the mala taste genre which is a distinctive and addictive genre that only skz can do since their creations are just that.
People said their songs were “construction music” so Chan said “Yes. It’s construction music bc we construct our own music”.
People said their songs were “noisy” so they named their 2nd full album NOEASY as a play of the “noisy” impression they’ve created.
If you dig deeper in the meaning of their songs, you’ll really know a part of their soul. They tackle their struggles in mental health, in finding who they are, and in going against what society wants them to be. But their songs also celebrate their uniqueness. Songs like Grow Up and My Pace tackles celebrating yourself, your own journey. Their music have always been introspective and that’s what really draws me in. They make me feel human. They’re literally my safe place.
Not only that their songs are distinct , so are each and every one of the members. They all bring different personalities and different flavors to the music but they all form a coherent and effective team that if you take one out, Stray Kids wouldn’t be Stray Kids. It’s actually the reason JYP picked them over a trainee girl group (ITZY members before their debut) even if they still lacked skills at that time, their impact and teamwork as a group really caught JYP’s attention. Another reason why I love them is bc they didn’t begin as polished idols. They lacked at a lot of areas but through the years, they’ve improved so much. Their growth inspires me a lot.
I have so much more to say but I’m gonna end it here. Stray Kids. Look out for them.

Stay (myself included since their debut) love them whole heartedly, as much for their remarkable talent as for their individual personalities. BangChan (Chani as he likes to be called by Stay) made sure that they were clear that they'd be all themselves. He is one h*ll of a great leader (even if he's too shy to admit it), If you ever want another view of him, check out his Vlives "Chan's Room". His love for all of the members of Stray kids really shines.
Songs that you might enjoy (and 3racha-BangChan, Changbin, and Han- have written over 100 included in their discography, if I remember correctly, there is only a couple of songs that they haven't written, the rest are all 100 % 3racha).
I'm guessing other Stay have suggested many of these songs already but here goes. Songs to look at:
God's Menu, Backdoor, All In, Hellavator, District 9, Side Effects, Miroh (meaning-maze), Double Knot, Victory Song, Easy, Top, 19 and it goes on and on. A few of their softer songs: Another Day, EX, You can Stay (written for Stay), Slump (I'd suggest the First Take version) and Get Cool, Awkward Silence for grins. Any of the LoveStay versions of the songs are fun too.

As of 2020 in their offical website there is no more sub/main/lead/visual -vocalist,rapper,dancer.
They just straight up say dancer(danceracha), rapper&producer(3racha), and vocalist(vocalracha). Except for the Leader position which is Chan leader of the group and LeeKnow Dance Leader of the group..
They are so versatile that positions doesn't matter anymore.. They can do anything.. 🤗.. it is just the kprofile who still uses those..

My recommendation would be to watch Love Poem covered by Mayfly from Kingdom: Legendary War. Mayfly is comprised of three members from BTOB, Ateez and Stray Kids. Same with Paint by Mayfly and Wolf by Mayfly. Their live performances are amazing as well. And their most recent comeback NoEasy(Noisy) is a must as well.
Side Recommendation: check out Ateez as well. The members are friends with Stray Kids and a member from Ateez is an ARMY too.

Skz song base on Rap more than vocal cuz 3racha - their producing team (BC, Han, CB) choose hip hop and EDM as their genre to pursuit
Best rapper in Skz: Changbin, Han (CB's rap is more agressive and impressive but Han's is more versatile) these two set a very high bar for skz in term of rapping
Best vocalist in Skz: Seungmin, their vocalist are not the best but SM recently has been proving his vocal through Kingdom, everyone impressed of his warm and beautiful tone in vocal (i swear if you watch his Love Poem performance, you will understand what i mean). IN has an emotional voice, he just needs time to sharpen his skills. And Han is responsible for their high notes when they need it
Best dancers in Skz: Hyunjin - Minho - Felix, pretty much at the same level, these three guarantee their standard in dancing for real =))) espescially Hyunjin, he's known for his beautiful dancing (his fancams only has millions of views). The interesting things that they has very different dancing style. Hj is flexible, smooth like water. Minho is detailed and very precise. Felix moves has dynamic and strong vibe in them
Bang Chan: He's just good at everything, there's nothing this man can't do LMAO and he's their main producer. A super leader (he was born to be a leader I swear)
Felix's deep voice and rapping is one of their most signature and impressive point in songs
And yeah, except for SM and IN, all of them are sub rappers, Minho and Bang Chan is a mix between rapping and singing
