Not disaster but the 4 v 2 run in for the goal summed up the game. Lack of composure and poor decision making cost the win. Head up though and keep going... Forster did better than I expected.
that's been our problem all season, even tho we are the leagues top goal scorers but we are pretty poor up top with our final 3rd play. we'd probably be very close to Liverpool if he had quality forwards
Not a disaster in that the way the game went, another day we get a 3rd or 4th goal and win. Not a disaster in terms of the Europa league either. Would have been good for player confidence and building consistency if we could follow up that city bemusement with a win in the next game. I think good to learn from as it's very clear why we didn't win and that gives our players an easy path to growth.
@hmmok3999 just check the injury list we brought an attacking midfielder in the 80th minute because we didn't have any other players after all of that you are disappointed 😒
How did we get away with it, with their disallowed goals? They are offside due to us playing a tight line and holding our shape. So surely that's a credit to us rather than finding a negative
@@zavtradnemdo you not know what an offside trap is? Of course the manager has that in mind when hes implementing his system. What do you think hes stupid?
People panicking about not getting top 8, we will qualify for next phase top 8 preferred but keeping alive is main objective. We have played our 2 hardest games. Next 3 we should get at least 1 win maybe another and a draw at absolute worst
Some fans don’t feel themselves if they’re not overreacting. When we win, we’re unplayable but when we don’t it’s apparently then the end of the world. Ange has said inconsistencies will happen when learning only a second year into a wholly new system but were overall we’re on an upward trajectory.
Absolutely vintage Hummels 👌 gives away an early pen and scores the late equaliser. I could feel it coming deep in my plums. Archie continues to struggle as a fullback. Constantly being beaten on our left wing with crosses coming in onto our weaker (Porro) back post. We are slaves to the narrative…we go to Rangers for Ange’s grudge match sitting below them on the table.
who thinks roma were bad ?? come on, we are talking about rome, one of the biggest teams in Italy and europe, For the last 5 years they ve been great in europe. 2021 UEL semifinal, 2022 won UECL (beat english team during a run), 2023 UEL Final (also beat english team during the road)... what totenham achieved for the last 5 years in europe?
Our ball retention and decision making was awful. We were casual on the ball and were always going to rue the chances we missed in first half. The attitude didnt seem right,it was like we were still basking in the glory of the city result. It makes trip to ibrox so much harder. We need to be sharper for fulham sunday or we be in trouble. Its not a doisaster but its typical of our season
It was a good game. No player was bad, and we created a lot of opportunities. honestly, their first goal was pretty fortunate, while 3 off the woodwork for us is really unfortunate. There will always be room for improvement, but we shouldn't be disappointed with the performance. Roma seemed set up to frustrate us, and we were able to play throught it. Killing off games should be a target, but it will come with time. the end. COYS!
I feel like a lot of the home games I’ve been at we dominate chances but in final third play almost like we’re already 4goals up then we just get punished
Any team, don't matter how famous a club you are, need to be trying their absolute hardest to win their home games.. a lot of the fans travel vast distances to the stadium and they just want to go home happy.
Interesting; The narrative before Galatasaray was that we can afford to lose this one because we were in the Top 8 already. Now here we are needing results in back-to-back difficult away venues to stay alive. The 3 points dropped in Turkey would be handy now wouldn’t they? Win your games and eliminate the risk. That’s what winners do.
If we have our first team defense, we'll either win or draw at rangers, and then we'll win at hoffenheim, theyve been a shite midtable team all season. No need to panic, its unrealistic for us to win every game in a competition were using as minutes for our second team. Once we get to the knockouts and ange goes all in we'll see the real spurs.
To play Ange ball, the intensity should be there throughout the 90 mins. It means, if we are playing 2 games a week, we literally need 22 starting 11 players. 22 starters is difficult, but the club must convince players to come to the club promising this amount of game time. January window will decide if we are going for any trophies or not.
100%. Im hoping that this johnny cardoso guy that we're being linked with is good; either that or we get someone else at the 6, someone who is ultra-consistent and a leader.
Agreed.. Sorry Ben, its good to appreciate the committment, quality and ability to read a game that Ben Davies brings, every time he plays!.. . Top professional!
There's a reason why Roma are favourites with us. Yes they have been poor in the league but have been unlucky with it also, with players out. Their keeper played well and it wasnt our strongest line up
Draw was a fair result to both sides, who put on a very entertaining display! A big shout to Claudio R. He came with the same attacking mindset as Ange. And his team ran their socks off. A big win for exciting football! I'm happy with the result lads
They played like it's a 5 aside match with your mates, get the ball and just rush forward. Try anything you want and don't worry about it, it's just a bit of fun.
I love following this channel and appreciate Sim's commentary a lot. I find myself having to turn off the audio or close out WeAreTottenhamTV when Ben projects his instant post match reactive frustration and doesnt really offer much except normalize the behavior to be angry at the club and the players. This really contributes to the culture of internet hate on players such as Timo and Bren Johnson. While its okay to be emotional but it shouldnt come from a place of deep borderline hate while not offering much constructive criticism. Words matter when you are live and I want to remind Ben that his emotions only perpetuate and help rile up the fanbase in rooting more deep seated hate towards players even when a game where we gained a point. The ship didnt sink, not a disaster.
It was a cracking game of football .that's what I came away with.proud of Davies and dragusin. Let's be proud instead of moaning both teams played their part
The problem with spurs is playing out from the back, if your players are surrounded by the other team why on earth do you want to roll the ball out to one of your players. You can take the other team out by going long but rolling the ball out is in fashion.😢
A good game where our midfield and forward line got tired and lazy due to the intense pressing. The squad will improve with age, but we do need one more midfield signing this January, specifically a six who is consistent and a leader.
We’re gonna need a big of a squad as Chelsea…realistically we need a new GK by January, maybe someone by the same profile as Vicario but generally has quick reflexes since Forster served probably his last game and is at his age catching up to him. We were lucky our offside traps were on point but whenever Roma had a shot on target or by the moment the ball went over our backline coming towards the net, he just stood there or kneeled without a single ounce of commitment.
This result was reflective of performances under Ange’s tenure so far. Hopefully the hysteria of beating a very poor, out of form City team has settled now and we can recognise the repetitive post match analysis from the same disappointing results - time and time again.
We were absolutely crap in the second half. It was Brighton all over again. No game control. All frantic headless chicken running with no composure. Take your time…..Lucky we didn’t lose 2-5. Wake up lads or we’ll get battered by Fulham
Good draw, would love to win but a tie is always better than a loss. There are 3 more European games to play in group against Rangers, Hoffenheim, and Elsborg. Fully expect us to win those three games
You must have only started watching football if you think winning a game against one team guarantees you a win against another. Thats the nature of the fucking game every single team does this.
It cannot be said that there is no problem with decision-making at all, but overall, the problem with defense is bigger. In soccer, two goals is not a small number, but Tottenham is always unstable.Decision-making cannot be good at all times, while defense cannot make mistakes at all times, and tactical changes are necessary to reduce mistakes.Since Anges tactics are always unchanged, the defense cannot help but be unstable. Ultimately, the tactical problem of lack of diversity is big.
if spurs get a team like lyon or athletic club we are out of this competition , just not good enough Roma controlled this game and very easily deserved a draw to say the least..
