this is really awesome, however i think the atem is benefical for folks that use davinici resolve. Especially the pro iso that automatically generates the cuts for you in resolve and you can easily open the project. Not sure how good the recording to SSD is on this and the flexibility of it
I definitely agree that resolve users will benefit with colour adjustments if they have BM cameras too. Regarding the recording to SSD it will be great to see, however, just like the current SD card recording which can be seen in my full review of the deck, the GoStream allows you to change your stream quality from low, medium and high, AND have your own setting for the recording from low medium to high. This really helps to have high quality recordings even in places with low signal. Unlike the Atem.
Great video. Except that the case is not airtight because there are ports on the back, internal pressure always matches external. Nor it's waterproof because of that. Oh, and you plugged me in there at 9:22 ;) But no link to the group in the description yet.
So true on the case and airtight. What’s funny is I remember thinking this when I built my case. So glad you pointed it out. Old age is getting to me. Of course I had to plug you in there 😜 couldn’t leave you out. I’ve updated the link 🤗
As a long time ATEM user for over 10 years now, the Ocee Gostream has been quite an interesting little mixer. I have had one for a couple months now. They packed this little guy with features the ATEMs should have had. However, I have encountered a problem connecting certain cameras to it. It will work fine with a handy cam like my Canon G30 or my DSLRs. However if i use my higher end Panasonic DVX200 or UX180 on it (in 1080p/i mode), I get video but no audio. This occurs with any HDMI port I use. I have swapped out cables and tried different formats on the cameras. No go. None of my ATEM mixers, from rack mounted to mini's, have this issue. They work with all my cameras. I sent in a query to Ocee support on the problem. Still waiting to hear form them. Curious to know what cameras do you use with your GoStream Deck?
I have this G stream when I started first asking to upgrade to there latest firmware for better performance and I don’t know how to do that. Can you help me please?
Hey there. I’m new to video. Can I use this deck with wireless MEVO cameras? Or should I USB C TO HDMI into the case? Also what type of mobile internet is best? Thx
Do you think this might be a good option for sports? I shoot boxing mma/kickboxing, could I run animated graphics (timers) and is there any option for replays eg stop recording then restart and playback what was just recorded if that make sense?? Great video, thank you.🙏🏽
It’s an amazing device. However if you looking for the ability to rewind, currently only know about the Atem product which ONLY works with Atem. Insanely expensive for something quite half heartedly done. Unfortunately if you record and stop recording to do a playback. Which is possibly. Whilst doing playback you can’t record. Also, trying to scrub through the footage to the sporting incident would be impossible and probably not worth it at all.
Thanks so much for getting back to me Rich, I’ve stumbled across the Yolobox Ultra this morning that seems to do everything I’m looking for although it’s a lot more expensive and it’s touch screen based (although a control surface is due) do you know anything about it and if it’s a better option for me? Many thanks 🙏🏽
@ram_wales to be honest I was going to contact Yolobox about their Ultra and do an epic review. I stumbled across something that made me not bother. Now I am up for correction if this issue has been solved, but apparently it’s been an issue with Yolobox for ages. There’s an apparent issue with their fps. Apparently it drops frames quite regularly. As if every odd frame is missing. For talking heads it’s ok but moving shots it’s not good. I’m really up for correction but I saw a whole thread on this before. I’d love to test one out someday to make sure.
thanks so much for getting back to me, I emailed the company to ask about this and didn’t get an amazing response, I also noted that on their own live stream to show the release of their new control surface the audio was totally out of sync with the video to an unwatchable standard, really doesn’t fill me with confidence if the manufacturer can’t get it right.. So I’m back looking at the Osee vs Atem Extreme, is there anything else I should be considering? And if you don’t mind, what would be your recommendation for streaming boxing/mma from 3 or 4 cameras please? Thank you 🙏🏽
No there isn’t. There is not a lot of 4k switchers on the market and if you do find, they are EXTREMELY expensive. Let me put it this way, streaming HD is a safer option, most people will watch streamed events on their mobiles or only in HD. It consumes a ton of data to upload too making a lot of connections not capable. Secondly people say, “oh I want ISO recording in 4K” You can literally just hit record on each camera first, then you essentially have ISO 4k recording in each camera and let your mixer stream in HD which is the normal way. I have 5 different professional mixers, none are 4k. Not even the RodeVideoCaster. I live stream a lot of events, never had the urge for 4k. Also the file size is astronomically huge to do 4k ISO on a mixer.
I believe it’s around 400/450 nits as per Osee, to be honest, I’ve used Osee displays for years, even their 3000 nits monitors. There’s something about Osee monitors…this might not be a 3000 nits monitor but because of its matte anti glare coating this looks great in day light. Even better than my super bright MacBook Pro monitor.
Yes you definitely can. Usually when you go live you hit the live button, then you hit the record button to record everything to the SD card in case the live goes faulty. Now you just hit record without the live. In a case where you’re doing an event, and you don’t want to do editing after the event. You could set up all your cameras and record all the switching and audio so when you get home you have an already edited file.
That case literally looks like they bought the case and started cutting the holes themselves which is simply too obvious and they cant deny it and just build these things out of parts to make all that tech fit in there! The cutouts are visibly very sloppy! Anyone could build this themselves at home. Just saying!
It’s obvious they bought the case. The cut outs and build are not sloppy at all. I’ve built a MASSIVE case and I can assure you, my attempt at making it perfect looked sloppy compared to what Osee has done. Also, I think the point you missing here is the fact they created something with the power that jumps over, the addition of the USB C power port. The Osee screen that’s perfect. The addition of the power bank option…absolutely everything is so well put together. And to be 100% honest, in the time that it would take you to plan, order parts, build, trouble shoot and perfect your own case, you could have bought this and earned more money in your business just in the time it took you to build a case. Osee’s offering is basically perfect and really good! I challenge you to build something better and more perfect than Osee with all the features and see how long it takes while kit users are already earning money in the field.
@@RICH_Photography I dont know... We'll see what everyone is gonna say after all the marketing dies down and they sold enough of them for everyone to test so we can hear all sides.
The quality of your image and your color correction are really great. Great presentation btw!!
Thank you so much!!! Really appreciate the kind words 🙌
Solid video bro! B-roll on fleek!
Always appreciate the kind words man 🙏 a lot more coming soon. The RUclips journey is only beginning now!

Looks great. Will they be doing one of these for the Duet version?
Currently it won’t be done for the SDI version. However, Osee is known for listening to their fans.
Nice video. Your setup is great!
Thank you really appreciate it
You can pass that Atem to me😂😂. I’m just next door buddy. I love your content. I should pop by sometime to admire that studio😅
Just use velcro for your wireless receiver
Great video.

Hi, at 1:49 you say you have large case, how big? How did you setup the cut box To make it omtop? Is that TSA approved?

Is there a 4K version of the video switcher?
No there isn’t. There is not a lot of 4k switchers on the market and if you do find, they are EXTREMELY expensive.

What is the screen brightness in Nits ? Is it daylight viewable outdoors ?

@@RICH_Photography many thanks for the info - appreciated.
Pretty neat, but I have the best all in one livestream case. My cameras are all wireless. I built it myself. Maybe I’ll make a video about it one day.
Drop the video
Can it ISO record and create a XML to link to camera files? Pretty useless without that.
No it can’t, but no switcher for $295 can do that.
Sorry new video guy here. Does this kit record all live streams or can you just use as a recorder? Thx
Not exactly sure on your question…
Are you asking if you don’t go live, can you still record switching between cameras etc?
@@RICH_Photography yes exactly. Thx
Yes you definitely can.

@user-ew3ud4tw1h perfect thing to use. Stops having to go back to the office and edit everything when you can just switch it and record in real time.
