As someone who play infantry 99% of the time, this was a joy to watch.
F yeah, finally able to take down those f-ing vehicle campers hiding from fights bots and making them cry cause they can't just dominate the server anymore.
@@FcoEnriquePerez I don’t mind the helis and jets while being infantry because it’s easier and more respectable to avoid but it’s the AA wildcats that are annoying af. They never engage and just sit in the back of the map

And all you need is an Angel in the squad. Call in a loadout and go to work then go back to normal. Angel is the ultimate squad support. Love him.
I want to say this is OP but it really just feels like the redemption for enduring 60 levels of the Hovercraft and PP29 meta

Either use the pp29 yourself or get better? I mainly use the autoshotgun or first LMG and I have almost no problems in games. Always have a positive KD and usually in the top 5 squads. It doesnt matter if im using the pp29, lmg, shotgun, scar, SVT, or Snipers. Play to the weapons strengths, and change your playstyle depending on what youre using...

I find it's def easier to get kills with than the LMGs. Easily get 50+ kills a game with the PP29

Yo the hovercraft actually wouldn't trigger an AT mine irl because of its amazingly good weight dispersion.
The sequence of you being run over by the hovercraft when inside a building, then almost being run over when you spawn perfectly describes the 2042 experience ATM.

My one question, where TF are the vehicle damage values? As a BFV assault main who finds great joy in being one of the sole tank killers in the match it's bothering me to not know how much damage is being dealt per hit. Perhaps the glancing blows have just scarred me too deeply.
I haven't even played 2042 yet and I can tell this gun is my next addiction. The sound, The power, and the close range viability. It's PERFECTION.

Yeah, this thing's way OP. I hate the howercrafts as much as the next guy but this thing totally undermines the AA-missile and the recoiless rifle.

Edit: Issue fixed itself after about 3 games
Has anyone gotten a Zoom bug on the Snipers when running a close range optic, your scope will default to the iron sights' zoom level. Has happened in 2042 and Portal. My only solution has been changing the optic after using a gadget or plus menu, scrolling to the close range, then long range, and finally shoot. Wouldn't be a problem if you could remove slots in the plus menu, only having long range optics, but now I can't use snipers till this gets fixed

Nobody will actually run this unless they are going straight for vehicles. So they shouldn’t but who knows damn near every game nowadays gets nerfed to shit
it would be good if on the old gen the affected areas of the map varied each game in such a way as to play the entire map but in several turns maybe in one game a piece of the map and in another game another piece

@@CheekiStalker The infantry still wins since we can now combo the hovers with underbarrel AP + M5 to basically insta kill it. Now it's just the Boltes.
@@Krymms Yeah, the bolte is so broken. The 30mm cannon is insane, and the thing is way too mobile. Not really sure how they should balance it though. Other than nerfing the 30mm rounds. I'm sure it's meant to be that annoyingly fast.
@@TheRagingRayn They can nerf it the same as the hovercraft, lover the armor and make it easier to destroy. It's bs that UBGL AP nades can't even damage it currently. And make it so that we can actually reliably shoot out the driver and gunner.

Indeed. It can’t one shot bodyshot someone within 100m if they have armor, and also can’t one shot anyone farther than 100m. Combine with slow cycling and reload, a decent sws/dxr sniper could easily counter it. In long range engagements you can see where the shots are coming from, close range you either use your mobility to escape or outplay them. Is it annoying? Yes. But it’s definitely not overpowered. It’s what a anti material rifle should be.
Try tank, see if its pain in the ass.
It's essentially the Tankgewehr m1918 from Bf1 except you don't need to prone down with the bipod to use it... that's pretty insane
The irl rifle is called the Denali 20mm and it's specifically designed for shoulder fire which is even more insane haha

Sorry but get better? I literally just got off from a game where I went 27-6 with 30+ assists. Ive seen streamers like shroud play and absolutely destroy people. If you cant aim, dont blame the game.

@@TS-dr2jn Thats...exactly right. I'm sorry but if you cant aim, then the game is not the issue, you are. Shroud himself has said that its really hard to hit people if they're strafing constantly but he also hits his shots. Whats the difference between shrouds version of Battlefield vs other peoples? He's not playing a different fucking game, he's just able to hit his shots.
The reason I brought up shroud is because people are saying "my bullets dont hit what im aiming at" and my argument is "then wtf is shroud or other streamers who are good at aiming doing differently?"
This actually is brilliant fun against vehicles. Love this sniper. Yes you have to be aggressive if you want the 1shot against players.

Fixed an issue where spread would be too high when trying to fire while zoomed right after sprinting for some Portal weapons.
Reduced effectiveness of the NTW-50 against vehicles.

This thing probably wil get nerfed, but imo they should nerf the vehicles to make this weapon less 'necessary'. Would in my opinion balance everything out a lot more, not just this sniper but the entire game.
All this nerfing and buffing of things is getting really exhausting. They destroyed bfv with that. Now there gonna do the same with this game
I haven't bought bf2042 yet but this nerf thing is unnecessary. If the pilot doesn't want to die then don't expose yourself. They feel invincible in this vehicles and now this weapon is a counter to his behaviour. So better up your game then if you want to survive.
If they nerf it they should only nerf the damage to players. I'd leave the weapon's vehicle damage alone.
Just nerf the mobility and handling, the damage is fine.

Nerfs and buffs happen for a reason. Usually because things are too strong/weak, or to shake up the meta so people not just use the same 5 guns.

I’m a medic in the game and do my best.😃 I’m also getting revieved more offen now then at the beginning. Dice still have to add that feature to the game when it shows how far the next medic is after someone shot you, like in bf5. Dice is working on it.
I also try to res as much as possible, but sometimes it gets glitched and doesnt let you revive. I’ve died multiple times because I can’t revive them :(
Fun fact: we do revive. But currently there is a bug in the game that if you die too close to an object, which you are supposed to use as cover, the game doesn't let us revive you.
It reminds me of the anti-tank rifle on BF1. Sounds pretty similar too.

Well, with the irl NTW 20 20MM you could possibly penetrate a BMP or BTR with it, so, yeah, it can be an Anti tank rifle, just needs a specific round

In case you haven't, you should try out Rao. His hacking ability really fucks with vehicles. Their movement is affected and they can't use flares. It makes it much easier to kill them, especially helis.

Well, I'm totally in for it being able to damage light ground vehicles and helicopters, but it shouldn't be able to damage actual tanks, that makes 0 sense. A 20mm won't penetrate the armor of a MBT
People driving home up the sides of buildings in hover crafts doesn't make sense either. Don't forget it's still an arcade shooter. Not a Sim.
@@TVCColin Sure. But when it can damage all types of vehicles the same way, what's the purpose of anti tank weapons ? If you put in real life weapons, at least try to stay somewhat close to what they behave like in real life and tune it where it needs balancing in the game.

@@ArdentKingsman IT's not, google NTW-20 Rifle which is what it's based upon. It fires a 20x82mm round, which is a somewhat scaled down autocannon round.

This gun is a lot of fun, I just think they could increase projectile speed. .50bmg is a very fast sniper projectile. here looks like a crossbow.

Kind of op but vehicles in this game are extremely op. Not sure if this is the right balance. But it's the hero we needed, not the one we wanted.

Lol people like you cried even in the BF3/4 times were vehicles took skill to master. In those 2 games a shit player didnt last 2 mins in a vehicle but a good one lasted all match. Vehicles are a joke in 2042.

Reminds me of using the BF1 LMG with the incendiaries that could cripple planes.
Spent alotta matches waiting for planes to dive bomb people and then just ripped their wings apart so they couldn't pull up.
This gameplay has convinced me to purchase. Gotta get that gun. Gonna be topping the leaderboard with all the vehicle kills.
