Should anyone be interested or want a resource for a loved one, Jenny Rice has a RUclips channel which she has used to document her colorectal cancer treatment. She also had a pelvic exenteration, however, she was open about it and explained it clearly.
She did a video on changing her stoma bag. Jenny Rice is refreshingly open and informative.

Question for Tea with TT - Was preventative chemotherapy offered after removal of the lung nodule? If not, what was the reason given by your team? It is my understanding that cancer spreads through the bloodstream/ or lymp nodes to distant parts of the body so wouldn’t chemo be necessary in your case, to help kill any potential remaining cancel cells that may be lingering? Looking forward to hearing from you.
Another great question. She said that if the liver is found not to be cancer she will not need chemo just surgery to remove the lung tumour. She has never explained why though and we don't know what her doctors told her. I am also very surprised that she was not offered a mop up chemotherapy after her pelvic exenteration surgery. We have not been given an explanation for that either.
I was surprised too. She recovered awfully fast from the PE. I’m a two time cancer survivor and I’ve never heard of NO mop up🤷🏻♀️
i hope flufffyfox gets paid for her job as the top moral enforcer on this channel. with such admirable character maybe they should take on PR for eugenia cooney, because they sure think everyone should always be nice and supportive no matter what is really going on.
+EDIT to my question for tea with TT in the comments below re why was preventative chemo not offered after removal of the lung nodule•
After reading a reply to my comment below from Helen saying that you mentioned that if the liver was clear then you would not need to do chemo, I came up with this theory: the lung nodule was there even before your pelvic surgery. At the time, the lung nodule idid not appear cancerous so they suggested continuous scans to keep an eye on it. After your followup scan, before your lung surgery, they saw that it grew and concluded that it was now a cancerous nodule that previously contained dormant cancer cells, that were reactivated. So since the cells in the lung nodule were reactivated and and there was no evidence that it was a new metastasis, and margins were clear after lung surgery, they concluded that chemo after surgery would not be beneficial/ necessary. That would explain why they said if the new finding on the liver turned out to be be cancerous then chemo would be necessary, as it would be considered a new metastasis.
If you are up for it, it would be interesting to know whether my theory is correct. Maybe you could touch on this during your tea with TT video. Thx
Any cancer detected in either lungs liver bones or brain is a secondary, a metastasis. There is no such thing as dormant cancer cells. Cells in general, cancerous or not are too microscopic to be seen on any scan hence why biopsy or surgery is the best way to “catch” it early. I am curious also as to why a chemo sweep wasn’t suggested or discussed. It could be the cancer was already secondary before the exenteration but wasn’t identified. Margins being clear doesn’t necessarily mean cells are not on the move through the lymphatic system.
I find Tiffany's medical history extremely interesting. She must have had fantastic medical help and would love to hear her whole team talk about this. Of course, right to privacy must be kept in mind.
Tiffany I’ve been watching you since your journey began! Please know we’re proud of you and praying the best for you
That’s what I wanted to say, too. But you said it better.
I’m new here so am very interested in the cancer content as it affects my family… I feel I’m up to date on your journey and happy you are doing so well!in Tea with Tiffany, I’d like to ask about the beginnings of your health history- I see in the comments some people say it’s too personal or sensitive- but I feel it’s essential as you have been through what, fortunately few of us will ever experience- I know you mentioned about the symptoms and blood loss plus weight loss- is there any information you can give us in case we or Simone we know is suffering through similar symptoms_ what I’m questioning is how long did you have these symptoms- why did the Drs not immediately have you have a colonoscopy?
Someone mentioned in the comments that ten years ago you had surgery- was this related at all to stomach issues? If so was it a precursor to what was your cancer story!
If that surgery was ten years ago, how long before that did you have symptoms? I am asking as I feel it would mean so much to those people now experiencing vague symptoms that you had 10 or maybe 15 years ago as it seems horrific that none of your Drs caught this earlier- what do you think?
This is a wonderful and thoughtful comment. Having a thorough understanding of this cancer journey would help so many people.
It's good to know that your eating has 100% improved really is a miracle from when you had all the surgery🌞
Would love to hear deeper conversations like Amma’s journey to the UK, how you met Matt, your relationship with your sister, how you became a homeowner etc
TIFFANY, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
As always, lots of love, hope, and prayers from your friends in NYC 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Hi Tiffany, i have been following since the beginning of covid. I have a Tea With Tiffany question:
What were the symptoms you had that made you think that something was seriously not right?
It’s not mean to give feedback , she’s right there is reputation so I forward a lot. Doesn’t mean we are being mean.
I do the same I forward a lot too because Tiffany tends to repeat the same thing over and over so yeah very repetitive but I still hit the like button💙
I’m so happy to see you happy and healthy. Just a bit of feedback; there is a lot of repetition in the videos in terms of repeating the same information over and over. Do you notice that during editing?
I like her vlogs ❤people are mean with their comments 😢
Its not being mean, her videos are great, but its just some advice she does actually repeat the same thing over and over. Constructive criticism is always good. It helps the person improve what they are doing. Its always good to take advise. I agree totally with the comment and Tiffany is mature enough to know she is not being mean.
ok karen, I'm sorry it upsets you. Is there anything else you would like to be petty about? I bet your neighbor has parked her car wrong again hasn't she? Go and let her know .. go on .... put a note on her windscreen telling her so.
2016 called; they want Karen back. Why are you being so snarky to that poster? It you who’s being petty, tf.
@@marciamusial4661 🤣They should take Vee back along with Karen.
Hi Tiffanythinks and family blessed love to y'all 💞
Tiffany, you look so healthy, which makes me happy to see! Your new home is lovely! 💙💙
I wish that you would talk about your stomach situation more. I have a permanent colostomy since 6/2023. I feel like the more open we all are the more “normal” we all feel about it. I love your videos! ❤
Do your thing and what makes you happy. Tiffany, you just can't and won't be able to please everyone.
I love your videos.🥰🤩
@@thommygorke ok karen ok

If you want to know about stomas… follow the bearded gameboy….. he has two and is a great guy and will answer your questions!!
So true. I know people who have to run to bathroom a lot s o I suggest the new underwears especially if a person has a long journey and bathrooms not easily available. The more we are aware about these things the better for all. All part of life.
just my two cents on what people are discussing in the comments lately: there are a lot of other helpful and informative channels out there if folks want to really learn more specifics of those going through cancer treatment and surgeries and life with a stoma, etc. i think TT is trying to avoid doing so as much as possible to set up a pivot to a lifestyle channel and so not going into things too deep. anything about her health is couched within the content she really wants to do moving forward - shopping, food, make up, decorating. so yeah, i think at this point it's useless to hope for more candor on the nitty gritty. there are a lot of people who do this kind of thing - like Isabel Paige not being clear about the background of her "farm" and constantly curating the comments, angry stans constantly crying foul regarding any criticism, there are plenty of Flufffyfoxes who did a massive takedown of one girl because she made a video critiquing Isabel's inconsistencies and whitewashing of her past. it's just what happens on the internet, and so yeah, i think asking for more details from TT about her previous surgeries and everything about her actual timeline and stuff is just a lost cause. if you think this convent is vapid and unhelpful, unsubscribe and watch other content that is.
You’re right. This is not a cancer information channel; actually there seemed to be quite a bit of misinformation which can be dangerous to people looking for information.
@@marciamusial4661 yeah it is what it is. but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be allowed to ask questions and try to prod her into explaining the stomach surgery thing, etc. if she can't really expect all 30,000 people who watched this video not to have complaints. human beings will always complain, especially on the internet. so the whole @fluffyfox being essentially TT's janitor doing cleanup up sh_t is hilarious to me. i'm starting to think they're my sniveling, micromanaging coworker who leaves post its everywhere that people laugh at an ignore haha.
Change is good. You look so healthy now so new beginnings. Enjoy your shopping trip. I found beautiful skirt recently and I was not even shopping. Just went out for b-day gift and saw the skirt which was very inexpensive and fitted. Blessings galore. Keep dropping by church - they say we get blessings in church. My mom always loved church.
I think it would really help people, if you could tell us a bit about your cancer journey regarding the very beginnings- I always remember a time when my brother was well - before ANY symptoms- do you remember such a time in your life? Could you tell us about that time?
Reason I ask is because (for me) I came here because I was searching for cancer information, not from Drs or researchers but from the people who have been through it or are going through it.
Your story popped up from a cancer site and then
I was back at the beginning of YOUR journey- I watched ALL of your videos even though I had no real interest in makeup or fast food but it was very interesting to watch your earlier videos as I wanted to see how the younger version of you came to terms with the shockingly and serious health issues you endured.
But whilst I understand you were fatigued and bleeding rectally and losing weight- was that so much a part of your life for years that it didn’t startle your Drs ? when on Day 1 you noticed blood.
So, for me, on hearing on one of your videos from 10 years ago that you had surgery, I wondered if that tied in, in anyway as a precursor to your having cancer?
I’m sure, because you are so young that initially Drs fluffed you off and I don’t know how heavily you were bleeding or for how long as it must have been quite a while if the cancer had invaded the colon and other regions and travelled to the lung.
My brother, whom I mentioned, had pancreatic cancer and as a pilot had a physical every year where he got a clean bill of health! Yet, he suddenly became Ill one Thanksgiving, feeling it was food poisoning and yet Drs said - it’s just a bug- a month passed and he was constantly scratching his chest as he was itchy but not until his stools were white and the white of his eyes were yellow and we were all as a family madly calling Drs and specialists to try and find answers ( that’s why I want to ask you -how the start of all of this was for you as I’m sure your family were like ours) FINALLY three weeks in, they did MRIs and biopsies and found he had pancreatic cancer!
So my reasoning is at what moment in YOUR young life did you feel “ this isn’t normal”? And what were your step-by-steps to find out what was happening to you!?
I don’t mean to sound invasive but You Tube brought me here for answers and I’d love you to address those concerns! Thanks and continued good health.
100% agree with you.
Question for next Tuesday: Can you talk about the stomach surgery you had many years before you were diagnosed with cancer. I believe it would help us understand your colorectal cancer. Thank you so much.
Stomach surgery ? Why did she have that ?
@@lizgephart2040 She deleted some old videos about it and started hiding it. Some think that she doesn't want people to know because it will change the whole narrative that she painted about her colorectal cancer. There is one old video where she admits that she spent a week in hospital due to the surgery and couldn't eat spicy foods.

That little devil used to always love to sit on my shoulder when I tried on clothes in those long mirrors in changing rooms. It made me depressed and sad because I disliked my body. Greetings from Chicago south side, Another lovely visit with you and the Tiffany thinks family. I need to go shopping, too. Hope I find something “top tier”.❤❤❤
Tiffany it was so fun to go shopping with you! I loved your try on bit, you looked so pretty in those dresses! I think maybe you were sort of avoiding the jeans by looking at dresses!!! And that’s ok. Sometimes it takes a 2nd attempt! Listen, if you don’t want to wear jeans ever again, you don’t have to. There are plenty of stylish options out there. I’ll even send you links to alternatives if you’d like. Think cargo pants, often come in a soft material, options include stretchy waist or button. Jogger pants can be found in all different options from silk to jersey. Lots of people dislike jeans. So just know there are options sweet girl❤️
The polka dot dress was my favorite! Glad you got it.

I'm so glad you are feeling better I would love to get your cross necklace I could never find one that l ike that one .
Tiffany, would you bake your Aunt’s cake again and place the recipe in the description or tell us the measurements as you go? I know you made it before but did not say all the measurements. I’ve been searching for that video, but can’t find it.
Tiffany, I understand your frustration and exhaustion with clothes shopping! I don't have a stoma bag, but because of my proportions, it's difficult for me to find clothes that fit properly and are flattering. Ready-made clothes are made to fit the "majority" of people, but that means it can be hit or miss for many of us.
Maybe you could consider not forcing yourself to wear jeans if they aren't comfortable for you? I used to wear jeans all the time when I was younger, I guess just because that's what everyone wore. Now that I'm older, I realized that I'm just not comfortable in clothes that are tight around my waist and in the thigh area. I like the way it looks when clothes are more form-fitting (if they fit my body properly), but even then it feels uncomfortable to me. I feel constricted, and a tight waist will even give me gastrointestinal problems, because of the pressure on my abdomen.
So I rarely ever wear jeans anymore, and will usually opt for a pull-on or a drawstring waistline in pants.
I wish I could afford to have my clothes made for me, that would solve the problem! Or, I guess I could learn to sew. 😊
Happy Thursday ☺️ 💙💙
Happy Thursday darling💙💙
Oh, yes, I'd love to hear what you are reading. I don't do your book group and you don't have to spend a lot of time but just a little bit would be interesting. I have a lot of books which I am slowly reading and then passing to a charity shop so I rarely buy anything new, so when someone like you is reading new authors, I find it interesting. I am in the third book of a five part fantasy about a Welsh dragon. I am enjoying it but I love fantasy writing anyway. Thanks for asking if we had anything we wanted you to discuss. And good luck with looking for jeans - I find shopping for clothes totally exhausting! But you got this 💙!

Thank you so much for replying!! I’m going to see my daughter and family and we all like cake!!! If we’re successful we will raise a slice to you and report back our findings. 😀
Big love and hugs to you. X
💙So on Saturday we got there after midday so wasn’t holding out much hope of scoring the lemon feather cake. I dashed in and couldn’t see any so was gutted. I decided to ask anyway and,lo and behold, she produced the last( massive) slice from behind something and said “ yes we have one slice and it’s yours!” It was pretty funny as I was so excited and explained about your recco and she, caught up in my moment, said” I’m so happy for you!” Then we couldn’t stop laughing about it. It was blooming fantastic and my joy was complete! I will definitely be getting it again when I visit from my home in Yorkshire.
We then popped into another shop across the road and the assistant in there started telling us where to eat in TW including Juliet’s. She told us she was in a hurry to dash over the road for some lemon feather cake before they ran out. She was gutted that I had to break the bad news to her that she’d missed her chance and we had the prized slice in our bags!
So thank you for your cake advice. I can’t wait to go again. I’m here till Wednesday so…….😂xx💙
Tiffany, those dresses look really good on you! Great choices even if you did go for pants lol

I have a tea with TiffanyThinks question - what was the definitive test that you had that diagnosed your cancer and did it take a while to get there? Did any tests come out normal but you still felt that something wasn't right and had to advocate for yourself?
Good question as I relate, I have had to resort to demanding that certain tests be done. Lord knows what my medical situation would be where I’m not a very loud self patient advocate I could go on and give you some of my examples, but I won’t do that here.
