The Rose documented the story of how their song "The Definition of Ugly Is" on their RUclips channel. It's in the series called "The Heal Project (Episode 3). They also wrote the song called "Shift" through another fan's story and it's in the fourth episode of "The Heal Project." You should watch the whole series though. It was when the band reunited after a 2 and a half year hiatus.

Thank you for your reaction, John and Chris! Love seeing you enjoying this song - The Rose definitely deserves the recognition and I hope that soon they will be MASSIVE! What impressed me most about them is how they went about developing their Heal album; I think this is what you were referring to, John. Post-military service reunion and Jaehyeong tells the members that he wrote a song about his difficulties, so that he could find healing. Then they asked - surely our fans went through difficulties as well, why don't we ask them for their stories? Which they did. The Rose are genius at fan engagement. Thank you, Chris, for commenting on the drums - about time Hajoon got some compliments!
Yes, their documentary on the Heal project is what I think he was talking about. It a really great documentary on the process. Loved it, The Rose is an awesome band!

My only regret is not visiting more of their Europe tour concerts :') Only went to Amsterdam. Should've gone to belgium and germany as well lol xD Anyhow, they just released a reborn version of their song Lifeline. It's something new... U should listen to it xD

I saw this live exactly a week ago today and I was SOBBING. It’s my fav off the new album, but it’s also my mantra rn because I’m having such a difficult time healing from multiple surgeries. If you ever get the chance to see The Rose live, it is absolutely worth everything to go. This was my second year seeing them and I’ll be back for more!
