Mark is the earliest of the Gospels, the one written closest to Jesus’ lifetime. It is short, urgent, passionate and dramatic and reads a little like a front-line despatch from Christ’s life and death. Often we hear the Gospels in short sections, but it can be a revelation to read - or hear - the whole of the story at once.

I would love to hear David perform every book of the Bible in this way, in front of a congregation rather than just read. Wonderful way to end the year for me! I'd also love to hear him performing the NKJV.
Just to add that I'm sure when I used to read the NIV it didn't end before any of the disciples encountered the risen Lord. I had to finish it off in another audio version!. I know some of those verses are disputed by a few scholars (Westcott & Hort again?) - but surely you can tell from the other gospels that the story doesn't end abruptly at verse 8? Other than that, magnificent, thank you!
