We cant all love them , but those of us who love them, as I do !! they mean the world to us. Can you imagine the commitment, the discipline , the hard work they put into making such beautiful music. AWesome !!!
So glad you enjoyed it. The only reward I really get is hearing from nice people like yourself who say they enjoyed listening to it. Thank you much.
I love how most of the Chorus have smiles on their faces singing this! The happiness is contagious :)
I like it!!!
I don't think a single piece of music has such power to bring a man of conviction and purpose to tears. This symphony has such a man reflect on his journey's past and future and know with certainty that he has the support of the very divine. Nothing can stop such a man, and the triumphant resolution so vividly expressed here is his only possible destiny. Beethoven, you who have long passed, you have moved my soul to believe that I can accomplish anything.
Beethoven is the master of the sinphonia.
Perhaps the greatest piece of music ever written, I have listened to the entire piece for years, and it still brings tears to my eyes, Beethoven was and will always be the maestro
.... and the tenor soloist face when he sings... priceless... he should be pleased with himself... he's fantastic.
This is truly the most beautiful symphony ever written.
So calming. Studying while doing this is just bliss. It's music, not failed rhyming with unappealing beats.
2007. My great memories being part of the Chorus.
By far the best performance of Symphony No 9 Concerto Style I have ever heard. I have listened to this performance over 50 times. I never get tired of it because it contains so much life and passion from both of their Maestros and artist.
It always amazes me how complex it is to get all these musicians to play in unison. To me a symphony orchestra is the highest expression of music. It's not that I don't love other music-rock, jazz, new age-they all give me something. But a symphony is the ultimate.
its awsome how can just 1 man do such powerful and beautiful and great music, its like something that falls from heaven, and hits just in the middle of our hearts and minds.
I could listen to this for every second of every day of the rest of my life.
I admire how the humans can cause so many bad things, horrible things, as genocides, wars, climatic change, but still create such a beautifull thing as it is this kind of music, and i find it really inspiring. Me with my 17 years, have found something to proud of humanity.
I had forgotten the understated elegance, beauty and passion of Handel and the insane emotionalism of Beethoven.
This music made me go out and fall in love with the world all over again
This is a student orchestra (UC Davis). Besides being part time musicians, they are responsible for keeping their studies up, some in majors other than music. There are only a few "hired guns". All things considered and, based on the number of views and likes they receive, they did a mighty fine job!
I am german and I am very proud of Beethoven, one of our greatest composers!
Some words about the "9. Sinfonie": It´s one of the greatest gifts form us to the world. It´s the dream of peace, freedom and humanity. The lyrics are so great, bigger than the human fantasy.
And, of course, it´s a prayer for forgiveness for our crimes in history. Don´t forget this words when you judge about Germany!
..marvelous!!! my heart smiles with their musical notes.... my life right now is worth it... thanks to both of them!!!
We could listen to this all day long.
Great music from truly talented people, blows some of the miming popsters of today away.
I've listened to music like this since I was a kid. I finally got the urge to write something like it and the result was my Piano Concerto No 2 in D Minor which is on my RUclips homepage. I tried to fill it with beautiful melodies and the dramatic spirit that's in this symphony. Don't know if I succeeded or not, but I know composers much better than myself are out there who can write something like this. I sure wish they'd try. People are getting tired of new/avant-garde/electronic, I'm sure.
The beauty and power of classic....no comment!!!
Incredible with great speakers turned up loud and thanks to RUclips for allowing a video of more than an hour.
Best music and singing I have ever heard. Brilliant.
I have been visiting this music for about 5years. Couldn’t find the better one yet
I allways do my homeworks listening to classical music...its kind of relaxing for my brain :), but also listening to metal... when I´m jogging...
this is what I love about music: diversity!!!
I'm letting this play while I go to school online!! This stuff really keeps me focused on my work!
I will never get over the complexity of some music.
absolutely the greatest music to listen to while doing research
Thank you for uploading! True music indeed. People should be required to attend a performance of the 9th at least once.... ;)
I can never leave this site without listening to it. Thank you so much for uploading it!
this is absolutely magnificent. I could listen to this all day.
Isn't just awesome that the conductor plays the organ while he's conducting? I love clssical music; it is perfect indeed anytime and anywhere.
I love listening to this when i am studying.. it also goes great with a nice cold beer!
I'm never tired of watching it
When a genius compose that would never be old!
Thank you very much for this masterpiece UCtelevision, on behalf of everyone who enjoyed this presentation.
Portugal is the country with the oldest boundary and with the most beautiful history. that's fact! glory portugal!
It is genius enough for any human being to compose such a masterpiece, but to think that Beethoven did this almost 200 years ago, without any help from modern recording technology, while being completely deaf!!! To be able to imagine more than an hour of continuous symphony in your head - that is brilliance beyond the reach of words.
Its not just a simple violinist. Its concertmaster, the second most important person in orchestra after conductor.
dude this channel is pure gold!! all +1hour vids of great music!
my gosh i just listened to the whole thing... amazing philharmonic at the end
such an amazing presentation!!!!!! nearly flawless
Some Clarification of the "little dude in the suit…
He is - Martin Gerard James Neary LVO (born 28 March 1940, London) is an English organist and choral conductor. He was Organist and Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral from 1972 to 1988, and Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey from 1988 to 1998.[1] Neary read theology and music at Cambridge University.[2]
As the organist at Westminster Abbey, he was the musical director of the funeral service for Diana, Princess of Wales, for which he was appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in the New Year Honours List in 1998.[3]
He has been particularly active in the promotion of the music of John Tavener, whose "Song for Athene" was performed by the choir of the Abbey as Diana's coffin was borne out by the pallbearers.[4]
I so agree with you. This is the way I do it too. Music just offers us such great panels of feeling...Each activity, each moment requires its own musicality
Muchas felicidades.
minunat. Fetita mea adora sa asculte Beethoven
That's an adorable little organ right there.
THE REASON OF FEELING WELL IN THE WORD, IS TRIPPING WHITH A WONDERFUL CLASSIC MUSIC. ANYWAY I'VE BEEN VERY FAR AND I COULD SEE YOU, FROM THE MOON!
Thank you, balkan. Glad you enjoyed it.
Perfect to play everyday at 4:20pm.
Thanks! Evandro, Belo Horizonte, Brazil
I'm always listening to beethoven when i am learning for university
It helps me concentrating
It’s great to listen his wonderful work again !
I also always listen to this when I study and do my homework. Helps me concentrate =)
I totally agree, thank you very much for sharing that comment with us.
It happens to me with music, movies, dance, books etc, people tells me that because of such and such rule they are not good but I think they study and speak of rules because they can't feel and enjoy the feeling.
Have a great day.
there should not be a dislike button for this symphonie.
This is exquisite, what I was thinking is all these people have to set aside their life's problems in order to be as a unified song in harmony with each other.
I have listened to this all the way through pre med Thank you for filling my dorm with music
Marvelous and Wonderfully perform...the music just rings through my ears. Thank you sirs!!!!!!1
nice and lengthy . Now I can do my homework while listening to this without me having to stop my work many times to move to a different Beethoven music.
i watched/heard it live today in buenos aires for the nth time. awesome. old beeth rules.

this is the best music ever
Descibe the 9th in one word... EPIC! I hope to see it performed live one day. "Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!"
Bravo!! Real music with real soul and heart.
I planned on listening while reading a text I have to read for tomorrow's class... I ended up WATCHING video! I felt like I couldn't listen without watching them all play this pure creation of awesomeness!
Great clip. Im a beginner organist and I so wanna study this organ concerto. It's soo sweet and not that hard. Of course I am a great admirer of Beethoven aswell. One of my favorite composers.
How could you possibly dislike this?

the music written for kings provided for free, think of the hours over years to be able to play at this level. Thank you each one for this gift! agape.
its amazing how a deaf man(beethoven) can write such beautiful music.
Re: "piano thingy" - It's a pipe organ. It was damaged in transit from England but he played. Some info on Neary: "British organist and conductor Martin Neary was organist and Master of the Choristers at Winchester Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.Neary has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Southampton and was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by the Queen, in recognition of his services in choosing and directing the music at the funeral of Princess Diana".
I love the organ, it sounds so cute !
this is most long video that I watched. Thanks everybody espicially beethoven.
I was priveleged to be a part of this back in 1975, at the University of Florida's President's Fest ! I was a baritone in the 4th movement
The Ode to Joy is so magnific...
excellent performance and its very soothing while working
the conductor always greets the first violinist, so does every soloist that plays with the orchestra. It's kind of like an accepted norm or tradition.
Hermoso!
I have a special respect for anything that is still popular after centuries, just as I have special respect for people who manage to survive for a century. Although I enjoy to draw on themes with an ear to a contemporary hook, I am inspired by and aspire to emulate the masters who are still loved 200 years after they died. I would be thrilled if even one of my themes became an evergreen such as theirs.
Listening to it right now. excited!!
thx for adding this grand pice of music
