Never turn on washer machine without having the water hose runing to the pump… running the pump dry will ruined

Is it safe to run it on first start up without any water attached? I heard without water the pump will go bad.
this is true. always run with water. never dry
Great video but just one question. I have owned numerous pressure washers in the past and am getting ready to order one from Lowe's. On my other pressure washers, the instructions have been very explicit on NOT starting the engine until water hose has been connected, the wand/washer hose is connected and the pump has been "primed"; is the Westinghouse different and it can be started without damage to the pump? Thanks.
In another review, he said to turn the water on and squeeze the gun trigger to get water flowing through before you start the motor.
Sometimes these engines hold a small bit more oil after they run for a minute and u can spend the last of the bottle & toss

Why? It’s not a 2 cycle engine . That a quick way to damage the machine.
What kind of gas, is it a two stroke?
4 stroke. Gas and oil are separate. Not mixed.
Have one...just months..ago...it works very good for the first use ...but the pump like it has gone bad already.. using it right now... waste of money

If you followed this guy's lead and ran it dry you ruined the pump. RUclipsr reviewers more often than not get free items and then dispose of them after the video so they don't care if they ruin them.
