I was in the pit at this show on top of a frozen hockey rink that was covered by thick foam-ish tiles which the crowd had pulled up entirely by the middle of Slipknots set 46:40. Slipknot moshpit on ice made it the craziest show of my life!
This show is legendary. I was on the floor and remember seeing huge sections of the crowd just disappear because everyone ate shit on the ice. And the people surfing the boards.
Patricio Jiménez surely there are pro shots of this concert out there somewhere (at least I hope so) - there would be cameras for big screens I’m guessing?? - I doubt the camera crew were like “meh, Slipknot concert - DELETE”
@New Hope unfortunately alot of the times the cameras arnt recording. There just broadcasting to the displays. Alot of amazing concerts when undocumented in hd beacuse of it not being a common practice to record
well, good news because there IS a proshot of this very performance. There are videos of AT LEAST Get This and Liberate arround. Look arround a bit. Pledge of allegiance Tour 01
I have the "Disasterpieces" DVD... It is the same stage, in the dvd, it looks huge.... Oh, the good old Slipknot. When no one knew how they looked like and they were brutal.
There are actually some differences if you compare the Disasterpieces stage with the POA one. The goat left-right banners are shorter in POA (it was also used during Ozzfest '01) and the Disasterpieces one has the same size of the Kill the Industry ones and the October-November 2000 tour in US (those with 3542-8706 numbers, to be accurate). You can note this difference looking at the banners and Joey's drums at the same time, it's very evident.
i have too say those were most unique looking drums ever and color joey ahd for his drum set for this era by this company. although never saw any places really sell this one though like they did for pearl
Wow I searched for this concert. Among all of the concerts I have been to this was one of the best! I was super upset to hear that Rammstein wasn't going to play because of their basists family house burned down.
This tour was scheduled before 9/11 and rescheduled because of 9/11. If I remember correctly Slipknot and SOAD put out a statement after 9/11 dedicating the tour to everyone who died on 9/11.

Doc: So Mick, how’d you break your neck and spine
Mick: 21:45
this show is even better than london 2002. I wish we had it in dvd quality as well.

I'm not to sure Illinois and london is the same place unless I got my geography all wrong
Disasterpieces was one concert. & it was performed/shot in London
15 year old me was at this show. 4 days before my 16th bday. these were the days.
We need to find footage from the Chicago show. Don't understand how there isn't a single clip of that show anywhere.
Pessoal foi a loucura com solo do joey 🥁1️⃣🤟🏻
Corey has always been good but it's crazy to go back and watch the evaluation of the band ,and where they are today, amazing,
The really cool thing besides the show itself which is wicked awesome! They're coming to this excact place almost 21 years later as of this comment!
I saw them in 2009 at the civic center and just a couple weeks ago. Wish I could’ve been to this one

Peoria baby
22:52 hahaha
Best thing to happen in Illinois since Mudvayne’s existence
ugh i wish i was alive for this. its only like an hour from where i live :(
Notes and comments:
Distorted Video and also Distorted audio... but still kick ass **cking GREAT !!!
Performing in Mudvayne's hometown
Without Mudvayne, who was on this tour. Go figure. Had to see No One instead and was totally unimpressed but it is what it is.
It’s funny to see them performing Get This during the IOWA days.
Anyways, awesome find man.
Does the camera ever leave corey or mick? 😂
I wanted to be present on the PoA concert... It must have been unforgettable 🔥🤘
Was at this show. Their shows during this time were so unforgettable that I don't wanna go see them ever again because it'll ruin my memories lol.
Back when they didn't play every song way too fast. Their tempo sucks since 2005, still does.
I was there, one of the best shows ever.
My mom was there for that concert and just a few days ago I saw them in the same venue. Small world
Goose. Bumps. The whole entire thing
Fucking kudos for posting this! Was there, pissed mudvayne wasnt. Been looking for any video from this show for years. Ty sir/madam

You can not fuck with this band
Wtf!?!? I can't find anything from October 3rd same year in Phoenix
I seen this very lineup, I’m Portland, ME pledge of allegiance your! First concert I ever went too! I was 10! SiC! Maggot for life
Back then in the interviews they were all crazy and shit, now they're all polite and super nice lol
Times change, people change, luckily lol
Back when heavy metal was heavier 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
