Whew... You answered all my questions. Been there and done that doing about $3M+ annually in sales. Dealing with employees and chasing people for money. Never again. Was so miserable I chose to drive Uber. Will get my CDL and pay cash some day for a truck and trailer. Dealing with sick family members ATM. Great video.

We are coming up on one year of our own authority and it has been a roll coaster. I will say I understand what sells on RUclips and what is real. I really appreciate your video and plan to watch more because I'm not looking for entertainment. If I can learn from your mistakes and accomplishments than I will listen all day long. I thought I knew the industry from being a local driver for almost 10 years. And quickly found out all I knew was how to back a trailer up lol

    Thanks.
About to get my truck out of freightliner in a week or two. 25k on repairs this round.
I need to scale up to 3 trucks minimum or just go company. One/two trucks just isn’t the same anymore.

People ask for inspections for a number of reasons, from boosting one's own CSA score, to having been ordered by a boss to drive equipment that won't pass a pretrip. They don't think anything of it and the worst they can do - other than finding violations - is say no.

here's how we keep drivers, "that doesn't work that great". Newer truck, can drive speed limit in any state, Combata fuel card(fuel up anywhere), can run PC on ELD as needed, gets company credit card for maintence cost on the road. Its a very difficult business, and many company's fail because of mechanical breakdowns, accidents, and driver retention problem.

Phoenix Capital/Gulf Bank on charges us 1.99% on $1000 they invoice it for us so there’s a fee for that and then there’s like an ACH fee and if you want a wire fee of getting it same day that’s like another five or 10 bucks so that would end up we normally get like 973 if we wired it but if we just do the normal transaction it’s usually like 978 and they pay next day. Then you wouldn’t have to keep all that money. It might cost you $1000 of your money but it also frees you up to not have to stress. You don’t even have to run all of them through them. We love it there great to work with. They’re not one of these vulture companies.

This is absolutely fascinating because there are so many parallels to the totally unrelated business I work in. I think your challenges with scaling are more difficult than you know due to our current economic conditions, especially inflation--the cost of inflation is somewhat misunderstood, but basically it makes EVERYTHING harder to accomplish and there is some threshold where an economy can't sustain the inflation, it's deadly to productivity and health. The government will push more and more of its troubles onto us until we finally snap.

I'm sorry I can't give it out. other youtubers have and it always ends in disaster. But I can tell you, get ahold of a trucking insurance broker and have them shop it around. just google it. they will shop it to my company automatically because they are one of the bigger ones.

Hello. I have a 767 credit score 18k in credit line. I’m single with no kids. I have money saved up in a bank for a house I was thinking in buying108k. I would like to get into this trucking business and I’m not sure how. I’m male 40. I also have an investor that’s willing to go half on half if I decide to do this trucking thing but they would not be apart of it. I’m looking for guidance in the best way to approach this.
