The hike in was tough, and I was probably in above average shape. I was definitely hot and sweaty by time I got to the top. Hitting that cold water was a huge shock to my system. The water was far from clear. And there was one plus sized lady that was a tight fit thru some of the slides. I agree One And Done.
I really enjoyed the falls excursion. I was 63, and the hike was done at a pace based on the group. I jumped at both spots that allowed it. Shopping excursions are on my anti-bucketlist.
We did this excursion but not through the ship, so maybe why we had a little better experience. I was a little concerned for my son who has mild Cerebral Palsy, but with the breaks he actually did the hike pretty well, and our personal guide we had was awesome on the way up. We being on a private tour were treated golden and even had our own personal photographer come along. Most of the groups we were with or around did the jumping off on all the falls. My son would not he did the slides as did I on most of them. A couple of the slides were scary for him and the guides helped him at the bottom, there were fantastic! I would do this in a heartbeat again, maybe my son not so much! I would not compare this to dunns river we did that as well in the past and found it to be very different. As for anti bucket list we love the zip lines however NEVER again in Belize, they were the most unsafe Zip Lines we ever experienced.
This is EASY. The wife & I did the waverunner tour in the Florida Keys. Its 38 miles of physical abuse. It was beautiful & super interesting but the 2-3 foot waves beat us up & made us sore for the next 3 days. I dont go on a cruise to feel like i just played a football game. We rode these sea machines under highway 1 from the gulf into the Atlantic then back around to the ship. We saw fighter jets take off from a nearby military base. It was a very interesting excursion tbh. We're glad we went, BUT NEVER AGAIN. Who wants to be on Carnival Dream doing stretches in the elevator in order to get to the main dining room without limping? 😂
Coliseum. One and done. I don't like treating my vacations like a checklist of seeing things without engaging with the local culture and would have been happy just passing by on the way to a good restaurant.
Little French Key in Roatan !!! Has great reviews and photos, so we went. Awful day. Upwards of $100 pp with 2 drinks and lunch included. The drinks were cheap well liquor if you wanted two, or you could get one name brand liquor. Also, the lunch was a chicken leg and a side. The swimming was not from a beautiful Caribbean beach, but rather a large dock with loungers on it. Hated it, would never recommend.
The swimming with dolphins or riding a horse. I wonder how the treatment of these animals are really. Same with dog sledding in Alaska. We need to move on with this already.

I loved my cave tubing experience in Belize. So did my travel companion.
That sounds super fun!

I’d be happy to never again do an excursion on a horse.
