I believe Leica and Hasselblad have the best color science. I have been using my Sl2 from the day it was released and It is now my back up to my SL3. The SL3 is a much bigger upgrade than I thought it would be. The auto focus is faster, along with so many minor upgrades that really make it so much more. The color is even better than the SL2. I use my S120Macro on the Sl system and the rendering for people is just amazing. The S lenses on the SL are incredible. A different feel than the SL APO lenses. The S lenses are slow to focus and I generally manual focus them.
Good points and beautiful photographs. Love travelling the world with my two Leicas (M8 and M9-P), a couple of Leica lenses and my Rolleicord (Model I Art Deco). They keep the fun and will always do... I agree totally on the colour and post editing side. So much easier with Leica and Hasselblad colour science.
I have circled the SL2 for a couple of years-- and just can't pull the trigger. My brain keeps telling me to just pick up a good used Lumix S1R ($1500-ish) and tidy it up in post,,, But I haven't done that either,, because I know,,, deep down... it may be close,,,but it's not the same---
It’s better to spend the money on the Leica because you most likely would buy the Lumix and decide later that I need to buy the Leica! I’ve been there! I can write the book!

I bought a second hand sl2. Get one. It's outstanding! I'm 59 and regret waiting so long to get an SL. I use lumix lenses.
