You need to be over +130 relations with them before you ally. Since -70 means war. You can do this easily by trading in the menu and planets, also allying with them and doing other things like missions and giving them embassies, also the super happy ray helps.
Short of planet busting every single planet in the galaxy, you can’t. New lifeforms will always keep popping up, but planet buster prevents them from ever coming back. A cooler way to do it would be by use of fanatical frenzy, but it would take a LOT longer!
I’d just fanatical frenzy. I would ally with the grox first then use fanatical frenzy to wipe them out without them getting angry. Or I’d use gravitational wave to leave more space for empires to expand.
im currently trying to do the same thing, I have conqured some 30 star systems of the groz and have a moon that produces tons of pink spice, along with a moon that makes tons of yellow spice. I have like 6 terraformed planets (including the two moons) and uplifted two tribes to space stage. I easily destroy them by using terrqforming tools to bring their planet to t1, placing a colony, recharging my ship and buying 2 more colonies, and repeating. Dont give up!
If you destroy the Grox empire in one game and then create a new one on another planet and reach the space stage, will you be able to meet them again or will they be destroyed forever?
You see, what I did was colonize a planet I already cleared so I can heal and charge, it's why I don't use planet busters, the Grox mostly colonize on T0-T1 planets, so your most powerful bomb will do fine.

Good morning I would like to know what is the version of spore? did you buy the CD or buy it on the EA game website? have you updated the version of your game and how? I can't finish the game because there are inaccessible planets of the grox can you help me? Thanks
I always wonder why everybody tries to defeat the grox with military force. I literally destroyed them using terraforming. That's all you need. They survive on t0 planets with fully functional cities. So if you erase the terra score to 1 you destroy all their colonies. And if you leave the planet before the planet returns to t0 they cannot recolonize. That's why they only destroy colonies that are on those planets. So if you go and stock up on energy packs and AOE packs, also kind of smart to have health packs because they are going to cause some damage to you. Then you can speed run kick in them out of the Galaxy that way. The first goal is to land a planet that has blue spice, purple spice, pink spice and green spice. You terrascore those two three on each planet in the solar system. This way you have a full defense on all your planets that produce the most valuable spices. You Mass collect those spices and you sell them to colonies that are going to buy them for a lot of money. By terrascoring your planets you get achievements that will give you more terraforming items. I always recommend the warrior path for this, because you will get all the warmonger achievements which will get you more items that you need such as the AOE repair and the energy packs. But also make alliances, because you will get items that way as well. To get the frequent flyer achievement, fly between two solar systems an unspeakable amount of times. Travel to the center of the Galaxy, get those life staff things, upgrade a few of your lower terraformed planets. I recommend only using this for a t0 planet with a rare spice, that isn't super far from the Grox empire stock up on colony packs, because you are going to need those planets to be recolonized constantly throughout this process. Throughout this entire process you are basically just increasing the terra score to 1 and leaving before it goes back to zero. You destroy all the colonies, but it is still a terraformed score of 1 since the game does not change the terra score once you leave the planet. Chip your way through the entire empire of the grox and you win. Very little military need necessary.
I also recommend no allies because you can lower friendships through this process since the Grox will likely kill your ally ships. It's also more work to focus on them as you spam your T-score "weapons" on the Grox planets. Lol
And now I'm basically spamming my own comment LOL by saying that I have done this before. I had to reset my Galaxy four times. And this is by far the most efficient and quickest way of destroying the Grox. I've used military means, alliance means which actually didn't really destroy them but made them my Ally which inevidently led to my demise because every other species hated me, and then I tried the planet buster method in which the only way I could destroy the Grox was to destroy the planet that they inhabited and that made everyone hate me. LOL. The other species will not hate you for destroying somebody else's planet if you don't actually blow it up. Just destroy their ecosystem LMFAO. It's also usually my means of destroying my enemies LOL. It destroys the planet technically, but nobody thinks twice about it. It doesn't count as a violation of the galactic code.
My favorite method of doing this, is to use one of the terraforming unlimited items that cost your energy. You fly around their planet dodging their spaceships and just Spam that until be terraform meter is three going one certain direction. And you basically do that until their planet dies. For individuals that need a t1 score to have turrets, just get them to t-0. If they have a planet that you actually want to take over though, I do suggest taking it by military force.
Which is why I recommend the warrior path. Taking a good planet under your control is totally worth it. That's only if the spice is worth it. You can't sell red spice or yellow spice for a huge amount of money, and green is iffy. If you really want to take over another individual's planet, I suggest planets that are blue, purple or pink. These yield the best prices if you find somebody that is willing to pay a decent price for it. I think the most that you can sell red spice for is 14,000, but it could be 24,000??? But you can sell purple spice for 74,000. I still think that it's okay to have a healthy mix between all of them. But definitely invest most of your colonies into those high-priced spices. Because if you find a colony that is going to buy from you purple spice for 74,000, you really want to be able to stock up on that lol
Mega bomb, planet buster, asteroid call button, volcano, antimatter bomb, and probably some terraforming tools. (sorry i dont play the game on english)
