I downloaded the demo playing Aganos and when someone I was facing chose her that line she had "I have a dragon.." was so damn hype! Then she kicked my ass.
The difference between the S3 themes and the S1&2 themes is that the S3 themes feel like they'd be fucking awesome as a ~3min cut, whereas you really have to have a 5-7 minute cut to do the S1&2 themes justice. It's not a knock on either, but it's definitely a different style.
you guys should recommend those battles on screw attack channel, they make...well researches and then animate the fight. For example, sam fisher vs solid snake, chun li vs mai shiranui, cammy white vs sonya blade, even mario vs sonic :D

The KI jingle is in this very video. It's also in Tusk's track. It wasn't in ALL of Mick Gordon's tracks. Also, Tusk's track has nods to the old theme during the quiet bit. Go listen again.

AshramAstarcia Kan-Ra, Riptor and Cinder have guitar rifts... but it least it fits with the characters, the first two being menacing beings; Cinder's theme being a complete entire remix of his KI theme instead of a new theme with a remixed idle portion. Totally digging Cinder's theme BTW :) I came out of a phase that I literally *hated* BlazBlue's new sound in Chrono Phantasma and now Central Fiction when I loved the original soundtrack. Here, I'm... perfectly fine with the rocking guitars... maybe it's because it's not as intrusive and heavy; it's just right. Arbiter's has choirs, Kim Wu's has Chinese/Japanese instruments, Tusk's has horns and choirs as well, Rash's has 8-bit sounds :P But yeah, I get you, the original games had rocking themes while KI XBONE went with traditional themes.

The newer tracks aren't all that bad, though (though I still dislike Bullet's theme). And with Central Fiction, Nine's theme is, so far, the best out of what I've heard (though Izanami's theme is too Black Onslaught for my tastes). But as far as these newer KI themes... Arbiter seems to have techno in what I feel are the best part (though it's a kind of techno-metal, if we're being honest). The guitar in Tusk's theme could be switched out with some manner of horn section, to be sure. But this theme for Kim Wu fits her as a character, because she's respecting her ancestry while also rebelling against the confines of tradition that it would chain her unto. It's basically Current Gen Asia VS Older Gen Asia, as far as this song goes. The classical Korean instruments (which represent Kim's ancestry) both clash and complement the more modern ones used by K-Pop/K-Rock (which represent Kim Wu and her generation of today's Asians, who are more open and eager to do things their way).

I think RKosmik is just cutting them shorter. His older ones would repeat sections and such, these ones are a bit more straight-forward and less repetetive
