Honestly, if you keep comparing yourselves to others then you will only let yourself down. I'd say compare you to your yesterday's self and see where you can learn from it
The amount of hidden mechanics from just overlaying structures on top of one another are insane in this game. When I played the demo, I thought it was just barebones and maybe we'll see more tools in the full version. Turns out, just didn't experiment enough.
i hope that anyone discouraged by this level of skill and intricacy can shift their perspective a bit to feel more inspired by it!! it is so, so cool to watch such talented and creative builders work and to find new tricks and methods. stellar work dude, thank you for sharing ~

It's both interesting and weird seeing people in the comments expressing a sort of competitive mindset (being frustrated they're not as skilled as you etc.), even when it comes to a game like this where the "goal" is to just relax and play around. :D Not a criticism of those people btw, just a lil sad that we often put so much pressure on ourselves and erode the joy of creation and creative growth that way. I speak from experience, it's an impulse we gotta let go I feel or it'll just make us unhappy. :) Anyway, fantastic video!
I'm in love with your attention to detail. It's nice to find someone's that matches my own. I tend to tweak things where my friends go, "Chris, nobody is going to look at that..." whenever I'm in an editor, and when I saw you start making individual stairs out of fences and then railings out of single pillar walls I got all giddy lol. I absolutely love it!
using the wall arches for the doorways as well as the fence posts for the floorboards was so creative!! i just finished a whole fantasy village build with a castle, but this definitely gave me some new ideas for builds. great job!!!

Absolutely creative! Maybe a tip to select the prefered type of building piece when it is jammed in into the building, is to select it first in the building bar and then the game will force select the piece eventhough it is jammed within a lot of other pieces. Hope this helps.
im late into this game but, the sfx really reminds me of "Post Knight 2", such nice bgm and sfx.. also, gad daym you put so much work into that build ☕
Omg I was wondering why, in the beginning, you were drawing path under the building layers and then you drug the arches over…. So awesome and I’m inspired JUST from that.
Productivity would skyrocket, and buildings would be much easier to work with. Better yet, they should add blueprints you could save, so you may build thematic parts to it. This game should grow, and it has a lot of potential to grow in so many good ways. I imagine a Japanese themed pack, or Gothic pack. It'd be awesome.

It would be awesome to be able to download specific elements, avoiding for example plants or flags for 3d printing. I've the feeling it would revolutionize DnD with the ability to create such custom architecture and bring it to life.
Amazing work there. I like to copy some techniques from others and u had some nice techniques aswell. I am not very good at being creative but i have a lot of fun just building stuff. I hope the developers bring some quality of life stuff into the game like stone foundation. its kinda annyoing to cheat buildings together into one melted piece of stone to have a solid stone foundation. copy and paste would be great too.

You don't need to repeatedly cut the walls to get a straight top any more. You can pick the straight wall type from the paint menu.
