  • Just a small prototype I brainstormed and recorded over a slow Saturday evening. I made a hybrid Bat top/bullet top out of 304 stainless steel for my MakeStick X Prime arcade stick. Hope you guys enjoy the casual content. If you have nay suggestions on how I can make these videos better, or if you've got any ideas for a cool project, let me know! I've got nothing better to do anyway lol

Thanks man, I hope to get it perfected some time soon, I really like the metallic feel of the top! Hope the aluminum variant will work!

I like the matte silver look of the top. I say keep at it. I can't wait to see what else you cook up. I used resin/plastic tops and delrin tops and I know that delrin can be heavier than the resin/plastic but I never have thought about using a Korean style bat top with the larger dip from the bottom out of stainless steel metal. I've seen aluminum ones but they don't go so deep. Also if the top goes too deep, I do use washers to give it some height.

I’m gonna try and do a ton of different variants, probably tons of creative designs when I find the time! Definitely a passion project, and the different materials will be so fun to experiment with!

finally i got my self an make stick pro I'm so happy with the product but its was very pricey
but buying Japanese stick or buy any case and build one it seems like whined up around same price (not shipping include)shipping is about $60
    but worth every penny

That was my mind set too, every sticks base price seemed better than the Makestick, but the second I wanted a K lever the prices all were too close to go with anything else!

I heard the IST Alpha N is the same as the knee neo lever is that true? and what is it comparable to?

i think the only difference is the aluminum shaft and aluminum actuator instead of plastic actuator

It is so hard to get information on the IST Alpha N!
How does it work for 2d games?

Thanks for watching dude! So usually K-Levers have an advantage for 3D fighters due to most of them requiring inputs that MUST be executed quickly and from neutral. So with a K-lever like the IST Alpha N, that comes with a 35 rubber grommet, the lever springs back to neutral exponentially quickly depending on how far you push the lever away from neutral, which allows for an easier time executing the Korean backdash or any Mishima electric inputs, which are forward, neutral, down, down-forward 2. Now for most 2d games that have no off axis movement or inputs that require a neutral stance mid combo-input, I feel like it wouldn't be as beneficial it is for a game like Tekken. But don't let that discourage you from giving it a shot if you've got the extra funds, at the end of the day its just another lever that with some practice will make you a god at 2D fighters as well. I'll probably start up Street Fighter 6 to play some Akuma soon, so I'm curious myself if the k-lever will fuck with me or not!

@@zmaxlee Ive been playing with this lever since i wrote the previuos message.
      I LOVE IT.
I tried Gersung switches on it and liked the fact that they work amazing for forward and back dashes.
However, the Omron switches are more responsive and soft. Motions come out easier and im having a great time with SF6.
      Thanks for the reply.

@@leperique hey that’s great to hear man! Really glad you like the lever, the switches really do matter, I have two Alpha N levers with different switches, and one definitely fits my needs more than the other. Glad you found the right ones for you!
