So incredible, that you put your dreams in place, Ive always dreamed of things like this, but myself never made it happen, so congratulations!! So refreshing.
@@trenthari yes! Washington has Some of the coolest peaks, I’m hoping to go in a few years when I have the money and experience. I’m from New York which isn’t very elevated, best I’ve trekked is a 5,000 footer- haystack in the Adirondacks. Hoping to do glacier peak around 2023-4 considering I figure out the financial side
We attemped this last weekend. Got too many reports from people saying it was more techincally than expected but looks like you got blessed with an easy climb. Good on y'a! Good work
Thank you! Don’t listen to people lol, make your own judgement on the climb. Wait for the mountain to tell you no 😉 there’s always the scramble route that bypasses the glacier
I wish I was there to guide you through the rocky basin! It's one of my favorite places to photograph Glacier Peak from. I call it "Whitechuck Basin" because it's at the base of the Whitechuck Glacier. Not sure if there's an official name. The pass where you connect back to the trail is named "Foam Pass". Amazing that you did this in one day. I would have camped at White Pass probably. Even from there it's a long climb.
Yeah it’s not too bad! The hard part was route finding at night through the boulder field. Doing it in one push with a heavy pack made it tougher as well. If you spend 3 days it’s just a nice climb, kinda like Hood
Was this going the N Sauk route via the cleaver? I know there are closures for the other standard starting points but I am not sure if this footage is from prior. I just moved out here and looking to do this later in the season (have hiked the PCT twice and always considered doing this as I passed by but elected not to as I had no traction or ax on me either time).

Awesome accomplishment. Thanks for documenting and sharing.
Incredible videos! Very refreshing, it’s a dream of mine to do things like that.
You should! It's so fun to be so far from civilization. Are you thinking about climbing in Washington?

@@trenthari may take far longer, I don’t know much yet, I’ll learn as I go.
I'm looking forward to doing this same grind! Way to go

This doesn't looks so bad! Pretty straight forward

I saw this out my window for 25 years. Nice to see it up close. Well made. You sure are easy on the eye🙂
Looks like you climbed up the disappointment peak and avoided glacier travel?
Was it sketchy going up DP?
I went on the glacier, DP is Chossy but safer solo
