Robert Levin's brilliant, thought-provoking session discusses "Bach's tonal cosmology: Examining his structural procedures". Robert elegantly laid out his observations of Bach's harmonic strategies in larger scale movements, answered many questions from our participants and the topics covered a huge territory befitting his erudition. Musical ideas were supported by numerous examples played by Robert and eventually the conversation veered towards general concepts of knowledge, art and education.
