Problem is that the new legendary unlocks require both. Teams. So even if they say yeah x team is the main. Y team is backup but needed in a specific node. So regardless I'd you want to be competitive it's gonna suck to have to invest in more useless teams
I like the year long events. Especially when the toon is going to have a long term Meta use. Yes there are some things are a pain, but I found it more enjoyable as a working up to a big reward
This past week is the closest I've gotten to hanging it up... I stopped buying new characters. I am not buying Patriot. I don't care bout the cabal, I am bored of crucible, I hate war, I hate arena. The only thread keeping me going is raids and battleworld.
I'm right there with you. I only enjoy raids and tower mode (when it's available). Oh, I suppose I enjoy DD too, when I can qualify to play it.
Wow I’m right there too. I only like raids right now. Trying to hold on but I have no interest in dd7, chasing the next legendaries, g19, war, cc, arena. After almost 6 yrs, I’m over the game.
I'm right there with you. I'm not really into the PVP stuff and the meaningless leaderboards, which are mostly about spending power. I enjoy raids and DD, when I can finally get into them. Grinding ISO5 for Big Boy Apocalypse, was probably the least fun I've had in this game
The game is trash! I just hung it up today. I was at 87 million tcp. Sick of these scam artists. I had my new warriors in war, 2.7 million tcp against the old sinister 6 at 1.1 million tcp and they whooped my ass like it was nothing! The only character they had built up was doc oc . They are cheating people with the health bullshit! Stop now or they will just keep doing the same thing over and over. There are many more games out there to play!
your first mistake was building up a war team that was only getting a temporary buff@@LegendaryMedia365
Not sure why so many people are so negative. At the end of the day this is a game, and providing game methods like this provide content that spans over time. If we instantly got everything we wanted that second things get boring
Apocalypse was a very miserable experience for a large chunk of the player base, the waiting isn't a problem, people are fine with dd. The lack of agency was prolly the biggest problem, but there were several other problems that just made the game unfun

@@doriangray6985same apocalypse was the best release method for mythic character. Having to build certain teams and go through an actual storyline gives the game life. Throwing random characters together and rushing through dd is super boring and not very engaging.
@ChasesVideo yall are a part of the minority, it was not well received and newer players hate it even more because it feels like taking such a detour building up barely relevant characters. From what dorky and mobile gamer have said, it is not going to be as prescriptive this time around and everyone else won't have the same 20 characters being their strongest toons
@@simz88fair enough. I said on hartgrave’s channel, i was a mid game player when i started working on the horsemen when red hulk came out. To end game players building these teams was shit bc u didnt need them, but web warriors game me a bio raid, city raid AND city dd team.
Apoc’s release was ok, yeah they dumped 23 players on us all at once. The real problem was we got more teams on top of them to build. 2 raid 2 war and a cc team all came at us quickly
It would be interesting to see them use the scourge system but with teams of 5+ characters against a huge hoard of enemies, like you could pair pegasus with invaders (bad example) or pair Guardians (give them a rework) with Infinity Watch.
It would give them chance to rework some old teams where characters belong to 2 or more teams (like Gamora for Guardians and IW, or OG Cap with Rebirth and OOT)
Just an idea, some will think it's stupid 😅
From what I heard in the announcement videos, they will continue to do the scourge like releases for the legendaries. But I think they will call them "ages" as opposed to scourges or trials. And since it is a year from now for Prof X, I would guess it will be G20 required.
My plan was to finish DD5 and then work towards apocalypse, i feel like this screws up my plans if I'm having to work on other characters.
If im not mistaken I believe dorky confirmed it is going to be a scourage like system.
Hope they change this "year long" character acquisition strategy. That's too long for any character. He'll be power-crept before we unlock him!
Yeah, I don't have a problem with a year long too. But it has to be done right. Having to max out characters (at the time) sucked and the required characters needed way too much gear. Then as you said two of the teams were out of the meta.
And what's worst was, the horseman team with apoc was not an apex team and they are already obsolete team in arena when apoc was unlock, they got there asses handed to them by khang and weaver+2099
Regarding my account and the crimson raid orbs, I have decided not to open any of them for approximately three months. During this period, I will observe and evaluate the new characters (toons) that are released. After three months, I will then assess my account's needs and open the crimson raid orbs accordingly, based on the new toons that have become available.
So it wouldn't matter if you opened them now or later.

I doubt that Scopely will make it easier for players and I really hate when they interfere with player's agenda.
Last trial/scourge/age whatever they call we needed 2 teams and couldn't skip them (New Avengers AND Rebirth) so what we've learnt from past events do not work anymore: to skip one of the mandatory teams in order to save resources. I'm pretty sure they will continue with this method as they make more money.
I prefer DD modes that I can choose the characters I'll use, but Scopely will tell us what to do and we will be 'obliged' to upgrade useless characters. We'll probably see some players quit as we had when Apocalypse was announced.
I need that G20 I wouldn't even be mad that was im looking forward to something past DD7 and G19 further down the road. mind you I literally just started DD6 about 2 weeks ago.
I don't know what it's like for the rest of us, but with the absolute shortfall of training materials I have zero need for gear at my level.
I have so many unopened purple orange and teal orbs it's obscene.
Training materials have become the one roadblock for free to play people.
Granted, I only have about 10 million gold right now. But it seems I always have more gold than training materials.
Hopefully we don't get multiple teams that use the same gear like death seed and unlimited
Betcha there are gonna be a crazy number of mutants. I could be wrong, but hey, it's Professor X.
Would hope for more mixed teams, that would be nice.

absolutly hate the yearlong system. but i guess we will see if they have learned something. at the end of the day, aside all the scopleyish screwups theyre still do constantly, theres a ton of good things happened to the game. i am not optimistic, but i guess it couldnt get much worse than the apoc bs.

Just maxed out apocalypse with all diamond also and now we got new op character that will take a year or longer to unlock . Offf I'll stack blue iso just in case We need level 5 iso again 😂.I just hope this one don't need gear tier 19 for 7 star 😅.
Doing the same cabal is the last few an I'm giving ido 5 but I'm hoarding that aahit until I get 50 thousand
Good idea, it is highly possible Blue5 might be the lowest benchmark for this, so we may need a lot saved for the future.

@@Boilon I guess it would be purple iso to follow their colour pattern… but yeah I’m like lower end of end game having just unlocked big skrull yesterday and a lot of my roster is blue 4 or 5… and I would not be surprised if the next iso level doesn’t come soon and is the other part of professor Xs requirements
