If you want to hear the entire version of "Rise", let me suggest to you the best, most iconic, and stunning performance of that song. It starts out with a brief chorus from "Soldier" and then immediately moves into "Rise". "2 Kids" is a beautiful song written by Taemin.
Now, if you've never seen this live of Taemin's "Danger", then you have really missed out on something special. This was performed just several months after the song and Taemin's solo debut. You can see what Taemin became an instant success as a soloist. There's a live performance version of Rise, it actually gave me goosebumps whenever I watch it.
I think it’s interesting how he decided to do half of the video to be slower songs because it’s not something he known for at all but I like that choice
He had insta live when he was invited to do the killing voice was worried about how his songs don’t fit videos like kv but honestly them telling him to make the video shorter aside; I still think him mainly doing bsides is cool and interesting because when ppl who don’t really know him check his music they would be shocked also he rarely performs the ballads / slow songs much anyway so it’s nice that he did here

I love this video but forever sad it’s short like this, I wish they found a day when he was feeling better and time they didn’t have issues with recording because he has a lot of music like ten years worth of solo music and multiple albums yet the video was very short 😢

Hypnosis is my least fav ballad of his but it’s mainly because I listened to it so much because taemin tend to perform it at most events and it’s a stable in his setlists, the song has special place in his heart coz it’s his first even solo ballad

It is definitely worth seeing the performances recommended by Ofrac and you will understand the differences.
Taemin mentioned a problem with recording and originally there were more songs but they had to decide whether to record as many as they could or postpone it and Taemin preferred to record and we are grateful for that

Taemin's vocals have improved so much since debut - I mean, for they called him tone deaf before debut, y'know? As for ballads, with SHINee or any member therein, you just have to do the live versions. @Saddlemomma is correct - that version of Soldier & Rise is..outstanding.
Probably he is saving enough songs for next comeback. Ballads are a must on a Killing voice eppisode to showcase vocals. I always loved ballads and korean ballads made me love them more. Not only idol ballads, they have so many incredible bands and soloists singers ( Park Hyoshin for example ) , hue gak ( usually found in OSts), etc. But Taemin´s voice, his sweet calming soft yet powerful voice. I love it so much.
I have noticed that the artists with huge discographies haven’t done all their most famous songs and it makes me assume they are saving some for a pt. 2!
I really love Taemin's Korean songs, but he has so many great Japanese ones as well! I'm a little sad they didn't include any for his Killing Voice, but it's understandable when he has such a large discography full of hits. For the longest time, I had only ever checked out his title tracks. If/when you have the time, I would recommend trying out more of his b-sides. :)

Fun fact: "I'm Crying" is Japanese OST drama "Final Life" and the Main actor is Taemin himself. Original (Japanese) version sound good too.

In July during his birthday stream he was asked if he would do a killing voice video and he said that if he did, he will try to make it very general public friendly and recently he mentioned that his ballads aren’t popular compared to his other songs so he wanted to show these songs. also it’s kinda his first activity to focus on singing as a soloist so it make sense to take it a bit safer in song choices
I personally love his ballads so I was shocked and happy when he did them some of them
Hypnosis is kinda like a fan song at this point it’s one of his default tracks in setlists in everything and Rise is insanely popular, one of his best songs in my opinion.

I occasionally hear some strain on his A4's but generally they carry shallow enough support nowadays, his support was extended far further to Bb and occasionally B in the 2012-2015 era, no doubt he was the best belter in shinee at that point and amongst the top 5 or 6 in k-pop, but he did run into some issues after that period (tight/throaty + some jaw tension noticeable around 2015/16) - you can hear it if you compare his Bb4's in 2012 ruclips.net/video/cC-Ji8gGB-k/видео.html to his B4's here in 2017 ruclips.net/video/V3XFMF4DALc/видео.html which no doubt has to do with the change in approach to singing and a more breathy/whisper type of singing, but still, unreal improvement, no idol has ever improved so much in an aspect in their career and to be not only one of the best dancers in the industry but vocalists too is unreal.
Good reaction and analysis - I would say he definitely can comfortably belt B4 maybe C5 nowadays but not with the same openness and support as his G#4 or A4's or his A4/Bb4's from 2012-2015. You can hear him belt a nice B4 here ruclips.net/video/gnSBn-2Vo-Q/видео.html

Most of those songs you didn't recognize are iconic B-side songs that are fan favorites he performs in his solo concerts, which are often Japanese concerts. I don't think you have watched very many of Taemin's solo concert performances, so that is probably why you don't know the songs. I really hope you will consider looking up all of those songs and maybe doing a reaction to his concert performances of them. You really need to check out more of Taemin's live performances. :D
For example, "Rise" is a must watch concert performance song that is one of his most epic Japanese concert performances. The performance you should watch is a clip that combines his songs "Soldier" and "Rise" in the same set.
You really have to check out Taemin's "Black Rose" @Taemin The Stage performance video. As you saw, it's a B-side song on his Act 1 Never Gonna Dance Again album, which is the album "Criminal" is also on. But you can't just listen to the song, the performance takes the song to another level.
"2 Kids" has an MV that you should check out. It's the song that he released right before "Criminal" and it's part of the trilogy that is his Never Gonna Dance Again albums.
