(I will never read a reply) For those uneducated on what dressing in drag is really about, I'll put it here simply- and it's worse than you thought. It's purely about power.
1) The very first stage of Drag Fetish is dressing in another genders clothing (almost always males dressing as females) to derive sexual pleasure and a power fantasy. A vast majority of serial killers and repeat rapists have this fetish as well, because it isn't as much about gender as it is about having the power of being a male and the power of being a female at the same time.
2) The brain gets 'used' to the dopamine rush from that, and now stage two is crossdressing in front of another person in a sexual encounter. Once reaching this stage, the dopamine rush provided basically can't even be rivalled by drugs. The brain has learned that using drag leads to sexual gratification with another person and increasing their social rank (delusion of course), and will want to 'explore' even more. Oddly enough, exploring always goes down the same steps for all crossdressers.
3) After stage 2 there will usually be group sex and other types of extreme fetish encounters (as they love to brag about), however stage 3 directly is taking Drag clothing into public. The dopamine/hormone rush of 'forcing' innocent strangers to see their sex kink is a massive dopamine rush that makes the dopamine rush from cocaine look like watching paint dry.
4) The final stage of crossdressing is the desire to essentially 'play God' with the gene pool. At this final stage, pedophiles and crossdressers will purposely locate themselves near strangers children. They will almost always aim for young boys. You'd think on paper that many pedophiles would go after girls, but in reality we all know subconsciously that damaging a young boys masculinity early on many times cannot be recovered from- which degrades the males social position and many times leaves them at the 'bottom' of the male hierarchy like many male rape victims.
