I think what’s poignant about this story line is the age reference. ANYONE can be sexually assaulted, no matter what age.
Wow you have no remorse you're just pathetic
Yes I also thought that when most of the pastors or their victims where older than him as well
Yolande’s acting was amazing and heartbreaking this episode. Felt bad for her and the other women, Pastor Clayton needs to be stopped.
This is Denzel’s fight
She knew 😢
@@EEVillainPubhe wasn’t raped. Yolanda was raped.
What other women
@Blackcat21943 the other woman he attacked it showed flashbacks those other woman talking about what the monster did to them
Having raised this serious and distressing story line the BBC must now act responsibly and give some pointers on how women can get help with this very traumatic life changing event with all its hurt and guilt.
Yeah, it's super messed up. But what if there's a woman who's a total bitch? Then is it totes okay?
Yolande (I forget the lady's name) deserves an oscar for this performance.
Surely someone would notice something was wrong when she was so quiet, shaking and crying, she looks visibly shaken abd traumatised.
I rlly hope Linda , Stacey and Kathy help her. And helps her get justice. As SA survivors themselves, they will understand her the most
kathy?
@@X.rock.Xyeah she was raped too

@@som7905 The acting was diabolical, I agree with you

@@som7905 I was cringing, had to turn the volume down at one point, when she was hyperventilating...it was terrible..🤣
This episode was hard to watch😢
but the acting was sublime!
I’ve always liked Yolande but I never realised Angela Wynter is such an amazing actress👏🏻🥰.
The pastor smiles like the grinch he's a sly one to say the least
He victimised all these women for many years. How was the system so blind to this
@@saffiekaloko6820 The people protecting him are probably the same.
“I don’t know how to say it.”🥺
That was heartbreaking,
This episode had me in tears😪😔💔.
Angela Wynter is an amazing actress👏🏻🥰.
She certainly is!
I felt so heartbroken for Yolande😭💔.
@@ellesmith4564I need her to tell Patrick😔❤️🩹,
I was so happy when she came back,
He loves her so much🥹❤️.
So did he raped her or touch her?
He has no conscious, the way he acts all normal afterwards
Narcissist
I love Yolande she is a lovely woman who does NOT deserve that 💔
It's about time Elaine got involved in something instead of being oblivious to everything
The end of the episode had me wanting to break down due to my own experiences. My first time was from a bad experience... The feeling of loss and hopelessness. Like something inside you is broken and it feels like no matter what you'll never be whole again, you're never going to be you again. It's all gone. I hope this storyline gives people strength and hope though ❤
❤❤❤
I'm sorry you had to go through such a horrible experience. I hope you have found some peace, now. ❤
Really uncomfortable episode tonight but also great at the same time. For once can we get some justice in a storyline like this. I hope the other women come into it again soon
Phenomenal episode and Angela Wynter’s performance was incredible.
Omg Aunty Yolande!! We ride at dawn!!👏🏾👏🏾
Denzel fight him!!!!
This is the battle!
That’s what I said when I was watching it aswell lol
@@Jayden11225 yh
She’s a brilliant actress
It's so sad but it's good that she told Elaine ❤
Wow great acting from Yolanda,, eastenders really bringing it recently !! Well done crew and cast ❤
Terrible how in everyone's eyes, the pastor is a "man of God" who can do no wrong. That's why Denise has no idea Yolande has just been indecently assaulted by the Pastor. She thinks the fear in Youlandes eyes when her attacker renters for the first time after the assault as just being stage fright. It exactly how the Pastor has been able to victimise at least 6 women.
Then maybe she should have asked instead of assuming.
Denise should have known.??? Denise married Lucas 😅😂😂. All her men she had apart from Kevin, is blind woman's bluff. Lucas Johnson, Phil Mitchell, Ian Beale, the young Arthur, Libby's father and if you think that she wasn't blind with Jack needing her for his kids only. Think again 😂
He also preys on mature women - whom people assume are 'too old' to be assaulted, sadly.
Amazing acting. Absolutely 💯 didn't expect her to do a serious topic so we'll it gave me the shivers and goosebumps also the thoughts that I should be more careful when I get to that age.
Poor Yolande 😢
I like how Elaine's reaction to Youlande contrasts sharply with the other victims "listeners" who more or less want to explain things away, tell the victims to stay quiet or that they are imagining things or can't do anything or even want to react with violence.
What’s with Denise?? Yolande was happy all day then visibly distraught and Denise never cottened on?. Please Do me a favour. Stage fright! She says.
Ok Kim 😂
@@Trish-ql9kz 😀 you found me out!!
It’s always about her
@@TaxingIsThieving 💯👍
It’s because the director has instructed Denise to act like that
Not surprised the dodgy Pastor did this to others before Yolande. He's very good at being manipulative and playing mind games.
Has it been said or shown he assaulted other women.
You gotta admit he has covered all ll bases, untouchable, even if she went to the cops after the attack with his hand DNA all over her, the rumours of her and him and his young hot gf. Would have meant no one would have believed her.
@dynahvelvixin.8615 the assault isn't shown but it is talked about. Much like all the other victims, their assault isn't shown, they only talk about what happened to them
@@dynahvelvixin.8615it was all in Yesterday’s episode.
I knew there was something dodgy about that guy. He looked pervy

Yeah the way he was following her, and the looks he was giving, def gave off pervert vibes.

Brilliant actress ❤
Great acting from Angela but sad for her character. Made me well up a bit 😢
Fantastic actress well done to her
Let’s not even call him pastor 🤬
Gideon will do
He’s no man of god!
Or Pervdeon
Evil !!
And neither are the people of the “church” who just transfer them somewhere else when an allegation like this is reported
pastor kinda fits tbh...
@@coolwahl It’s worked on you, champ.
What the pastor did and has been doing is disgusting elaine needs to convince yolande to tell the police or it'll be another creep walking free terrorising her like dean did ti linda for years. Elaine knows what to say she's been through it b4 w linda and she is one strong confident woman and she is such a kind friend yes she may have her flaws but she is amazing but yolande needs to speak up or it is useless
I am not letting Pastor to waking free we are not letting him get away with This
Yolande and Patrick bloody brilliant x
Angela Wynter was fantastic in this episode I was stunned. Great episode
Yolande opens up to Elaine the truth of sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton.
We saw it 🙄
Poor Yolande. I just hope now that that this doesn’t drag out for ages, and that she finds the strength to tell others about it, like she did with Elaine. Wait until Patrick and Denzel find out.
And Yolanda family and friends will support Yolanda
And Chelsea Fox as well
Anthony Trueman could be there for Yolanda
Kat and Jay could be on Yolanda side
@@abdurahim1110 he’s already trying to be there for Yolande. He knows there’s something going on with her, but she won’t tell him. She keeps pretending that everything’s fine. But the truth will come out at some point.
2:46 🤮🤢🤢🤢🤢😡😡😡🤬🤬
Pastor here!!!!
Poor yolande her character is such a lovely joyful woman so to see her character so vunrebale and distressed after such a harrowing incident is so sad i knew their was something of about that pastor from the start i hope he gets what he deserves incredible acting from Angela wynter fair play to her
I don't like that pastor's wife. So rude and condescending.
When she finds out about this, will she be outraged by him, and take Yolande's side, or be outraged by Yolande, and be even more against her?
I called this as soon as I first saw him on screen
I feel so sorry for her she looked traumatised. Her acting was amazing, how come noone noticed something was wrong and her distress when she got on stage or when she left, why did noone come to check on her from the fundraiser including her family, only Elaine did and she wasnt there?
Said in my last comment that pastor Clayton was a little perv, and I was right , all those other women over the years aswell , he needs to pay for what he’s done , otherwise he’ll just carry on getting away with it, felt so sorry for Yolande .
Omg what an ep 😢poor Yolande and the other women omg I’m shocked I hope pastor Clayton gets his comeuppance.

Actor who plays the pastor was also in a EastEnders episode in 2002

The actor who plays Pastor Clayton was also cast in an EastEnders episode in 2002
He was the guy in the office
Pastor Pervdeon
The fact that there’s an age difference and that he’s seen as a man of god is what protects him because no one would think he would do something like that 😢
I didn’t realise there was an age difference. She looks younger than him!
@@TaxingIsThieving to be fair I was thinking about the other victims as there clearly was a gap in those
Yeah and his wife being young is a good cover too. People would be less likely to think he is a rapist if his wife is much younger than him.

Gosh this was so hard to watch still there are so many black woman this has happened too, and. Still they stay silent done know if it’s a. Pride or culture thing but we need to break the cycle and stop letting our own black men get away with this yes I said it and I don’t care who wanna bex.

Black skin, black hair, black eyes, I don’t blame you for thinking they were the same person.

Just a repeat of Linda and Dean and the Ruby story aswell can the writers not come up with something original I don’t know why the episode had to be an hour long aswell it was as boring as watching paint dry.
The difference is they weren't at a church
This repeatedly happens to women in real life, that's why the storylines are similar. It's to raise awareness about SA.

Thousands of so called “priests” hide behind being a man of God so that they can get a free pass on anyone. Has happened for centuries.
EastEnders fans have seen both Lucas Johnson as the evil preacher and now Paster Clayton, I wonder how it would sit with Muslims if there was an Imam on the show painted in a negative light?
stupid stupid, stupid
everything about this script is an absolute shambles. how ridiculous
He is worse than dean, get shut of paster, 6 women in the past said he did same to them, , phone police, and his wife,
Poor Yolande. Great Elaine. Liberty taking b*stard Pastor. Thank you. 😢
Brilliant acting, I'm hoping she reports it, his name is on record surely that must help put him behind bars.
Oh great. Now this is going to be another stretched out story line. This will be dragged on for months before Yolande says she was raped.
Pastor Clayton only came in to say hello to Yolande. Nobody knows how she fell on the floor. The Pastor is a man of God.
Bro she literally said she was assaulted, also they aren’t gonna show the actual rape on a tv show
Just cause he’s a man of god doesn’t mean he can’t be a horrible person
@@Huh9631 without any evidence then we don't know what happened. The Pastor was leaving just as Yolande had fallen. Yolande was saying earlier during the day that she was over tired. My guess is that Pastor Clayton came in to help Yolande and he probably gave her a hug around the waist for all the hard work she's been doing. Then he left. Yolande got confused and took it the wrong way. Pastor Clayton is an innocent man.
