"Love Machine Polka" is a previously unreleased 1985 demo from Peccadilloes, one of two new releases of live radio, club rarities, and demos.
"Le Cochon Danseur" was a 1907 film by Pathé documenting a Vaudeville act; "Dance, Gypsy, Dance!" was a 1939 British Pathé documentary about New York Gypsies.
The polka, from the Czech word "půlka" or "half," requires short half-steps in order to dance and is generally attributed to a young woman, Anna Slezáková, who, around 1830, was dancing in an unusual way...presumably not with a pig.
