- In this video I've decided to make a modpack that starts you off on the hardest stage of the mod "Scape and Run: Parasites". Which is "Phase 8", the final and last phase you can reach in the parasites mod. I'm sure to anyone else they would know that's pretty much a game over. In this case though I've decided to equip myself with some overpowered gear that may help.

You know. When it comes to parasites, I’m of the belief that one should rip and tear until it is done. Which is why I’m very glad that it’s in 1.12 which is home to my favorite weapon mod, Techguns.
Especially when you get some advanced combat armor and an incendiary LMG, which are arguably some of the easier high-tier gears to obtain. Pair that with Enhanced Armaments (along with a deconstruction table to reroll for rarities) for the buffs to gear as well as Improvable Skills, and you'll become a killing machine. If you also get Robotic Parts (1.12.2 port of Cyberware) along with the addon ReWIRED, you can essentially become the Minecraft equivalent of Adam Smasher. Just be sure to raise the tolerance in the configs so you can add much more cybernetics to yourself. With these mods alongside Techguns, Srparasites' difficulty can be tweaked through the use of lead and metal.
There’s also the Cubed Modern Warfare mod. Should check it out.
I want to try this idea again but with the configs changed a bit. Lemme know if its worth re-trying though. I thought it was a nice mixup from what we usually do

And now you see why i was complaining about viral so much
Get the highest level armor from the draconic evolution mod. It's some of the strongest armor I can think of and I saw someone survive a 6 minute stage 8 onslaught with it. I'd say it's worth it. Also, it lets you fly like you're in creative mode.

Nothing beats parasites in terms of raw unbalance... It's the one mod where I legitimately could not tell you a combination of mods that ensure any measure of chance to survive. From what I've found, you need health Boost 20+, Resistance 4+ and Regeneration 5 permanently in vanilla, combined with maxed diamond gear, to survive at all, and the bullshit minimum damage mechanic makes even that unreliable with stuff like Reekers (Seriously that needs fixed). I mean really, "balanced for modded"? What mods? Guns? OP Gear? It doesn't do anything to the parasites lol. I hope the dev team eventually understands that sometimes, toning things down a bit is the right design choice, especially when half of said things are hitting harder than a point-blank charged creeper. Effects like Viral and Fear stack on top of each other to allow damage numbers in the late triple digits, and parasites ignore things like totems half the time... A lot of the more recently added mechanics that make the mod harder have kinda lessened its ability to be taken seriously, and it's gotten to a point where you might as well play it in creative mode. Fun fact, parasites can hit you there too, save for the fact they choose not to

maxed out improvable skill 3 with full prot 4 bedrock armour and any kind of sweeping edge life-steal will make you infinite sustain until viral procs because viral is simply there to ensure you will ALWAYS die at some point.
SRP is NOT balanced and is exactly what it should be; the indisputable end of your world that isnt even remotely fair.
A true apocalypse.
I think the problem people have with SRP is that your not meant to survive. Going into the mod expecting it to add some zombie-level-monsters is the wrong approach, in my opinnion. The mod simulates your world being overrun by biological horrors. Imagine the flood (from halo) infecting an defenceless planet. Expecting a single normal human to survive on such a planet for a long time is ridicolous
Orespawn easily overpowers the mod, with armour, bosses, and weapons easily able to take them on
Just a slight issue, the strongest version is 1.7.3
There's a version compatible with Parasites, but it only has the Ultimate armour set and sword (doing a measly 40 instead of 750 damage with long reach)
1.7.3's Orespawn has even stronger mobs
Especially the Queen who always does 8 hearts and has a few thousand health, able to kill nearly all modded bosses
To be fair though, you get really powerful weapons that hit for a hundred damage (they do a few hundred, but boss defense is insane)
There's already a popular Modpack with it called Crazy Craft

2 minutes in and i just gotta say, without enchants it doesnt matter how strong of a gear u have(ofc to a degree im sure there is dodgeGold armor that gives you invincibility) without some bloodthirst you can tank like tops 40 hits if the parasites suck, wich they dont.

I found this addon for SRP that lets the player becomes a parasite. I think it’s called cotesia glomerata.

I was able to survive and take minimal damage with enchanted techguns power armor, but got obliterated the second my base became a parasite biome. Succors are insanely broken. Ive seen people recommend hbms nuclear tech so maybe give that a try. Also draconic evolution armor if you actually want to be invincible.

@@loganshaw4527 I was doing fairly well before the parasite biome and was actually trying to get one to spawn so I could see what it's like, didn't expect it to be as bad as it was especially since I had an obsidian bunker. Also I should've mentioned that vigilantes and sentries are even more broken since each hit from then takes TEN PERCENT OF YOUR ARMOR DURABILITY so I turned that down.

Is it possible to survive longer then 2 minutes against the parasites mod with that mod set up?
Yes, but it's clear to be a terrible gamble from the looks of it, as each world spawn has been bad luck thus far making getting the right spawn and conditions just right so u not lose crazy fast is a pain no doubt.
If possible I suggest making it so the heavy hitters to not spawn so soon or maybe have a mod that makes ur character spawn with a temporary speed buff just to get away from a really bad spawn.
The best way I can think of is to use the best gear in rlcraft and play cautiously, but even that would probably be hard

You might last quite a bit longer if you included improbable skills 3 and improbable weapons, but that might be too op if you fully use everything
yeah i think slowly over time i'll keep tuning it a bit stronger but i do think maybe im a bit close
Try this but turn on the mi alliance mod , and other infection mods/invasion ones. Ive seen the sculk horde infect mi allaince
You guys should really add the mod scannable it should allow you to see hostile mobs underground much easier

If you don't enchant your gear I don't see you going far like this. Also I think sentient greatbow (or living if you want only aquirable equipment) might be better than the bow you were using.
Also have you considered potions?
i think starter kit mod has an issue with potions but it woulc be cool

@@petrusv8752 Enchants do not help. because of the damage cap mechanic,parasites that can adapt will only take a certain amount of damage (for example heavy bomber will always take 18 damage) no matter what level of Sharpness you have ot how strong your weapon is normal.Enhanced armaments is that one Mod hat has rarities for gears (min is basic and max is ancient)and somehow bypasses that rule. The rarity is random but there is a mod that allows you to upgrade it with rituals

Can the preeminents naturally spawn on phase 8? Or is that changed in ur configs cuz it just says they can only spawn in the parasite biome.
The preeminents naturally spawn in the parasite biome and can spawn early by colonies which are disabled by default

If you were to install it, install the extended edition, it has better performance. I used to use it with parasites a lot, with the hordes as well, I survived until day 80, then things went downhill. To survive that long I upped the structure chances and meteor falling, also I spawned in a desert because broken helicopters generate there. Overall HBM is a great slightly op mod, I enjoyed taking literally no damage from adapted parasites and also slaying them in like 2 hits with CMB steel sword that does 50 damage a hit! Also I would recommend to install inventory pets as well. :)
