    The story of Job told by Jim Rohn. Many people find it difficult to comprehend some of the bible stories they read, but in this short 5 minute video Jim breaks down the book of Job in a very entertaining and inspirational way.

    The way you told the story was fascinating, but there is nothing fascinating about it when you apply thought to what you heard.

    Whats the moral of the story relative to modern times ?

    • @DonPasco

      Hi UK,
      Thanks for the comment/question.
      I would say the moral of the story is to always trust in the Lord.

    I find it fascinating too....! except the comments of Job’s wife. I feel that she was also God’s friend and she was not alone influenced by satan. Job n his wife both might have been influenced by the satan and might have realized it a while later! And then God might have forgiven them for this mistrust on their dear friend. Satan didn’t do that! Only job and his wife repented to God
    That’s what is the complete story which read in the Quran...! :)

    How do you replace someone's children you let die? This is one of the most evil stories I haveever heard.

    • @DonPasco
      @DonPasco  7 лет назад +13

      “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
      Isaiah 55:9

    • @MrHoneHeke
      @MrHoneHeke 7 лет назад +2

      I wouldn't treat a dog the way god treated Job. Imagine me bragging to a person how much my dog spot loves me. The person says "spot loves you because you feed him and care for him... I bet he wouldn't love you if you were bad to him". So I beat spot, starve him, drown his mate and puppies; and when spot is laying their broken I call him and he comes and lovingly licks my hand. Then I shout out 'I TOLD YOU SPOT WOULD ALWAYS LOVE ME!".
      Anyone who did that to spot is evil. Therefore if you believe your god did that to Job, then he's evil to.

      MrHoneHeke read my comments above for the briefing of this lovely story please...

    • @Derek.Mitchell
      @Derek.Mitchell 7 лет назад +2

      MrHoneHeke well you wouldn't be the one beating Spot, your nemisis (the very symbol of all things evil) would be the one doing it. I think you're having trouble seeing the Forrest through the trees here... God wagering with Satan and permitting him to do his worst to a good and faithful servant is why it's an interesting story. Pragmatically the story of job teaches the value of loyalty, which is something we as a species seem to hold dearly, perhaps because we're pack animals.

      Don Pasco that's a pretty piss poor excuse to defend needless suffering of a good person.
