But handmade rugs amaze with their diversity. Basically, old things are used as source material. Useful items include T-shirts, jeans, belts, wine corks, socks, garden nets, yarn, towels, ropes and much more.
In this way, not only is a unique item created, but such handicraft is also an excellent way to recycle used items.
Sweaters are also included in this list. Lately we have been buying this item more and more often because of its spoiled appearance. The main problem is the pellets that quickly appear on the sleeves and sides. Even sweaters with a higher price fall under scissors because of this. You can use them to make not only blankets, but also rugs.
Here is one of the varieties:
- To make it you will need 2 or 3 sweaters. Strips of knitwear are cut out of them, the width of which is chosen arbitrarily. I took 12 cm for myself, the length depends on the length of the sweater.
- I stitched each strip along the long side and turned it right side out.
- I filled the tubes with padding polyester, tore off small pieces and pushed them inside using a knitting needle. You can use holofiber as a filler.
- I pulled the edges together and sewed them up. I got 9 blanks.
- I sewed each strip together by hand.
- I made tassels from yarn and sewed them to the end of each tube.
- This rug can be placed on the floor near the bed or on a chair instead of a seat.
My cat took it for himself and now sleeps on it.

Конечно всё красиво. И котику тепло, уютно, мягко. А скажите, где столько фалофайбера взять? Его что, в каждом магазине за копейки продают? Это дорогой наполнитель. Или к старым свитерам, надо ещё и курточки зимние потрошить?

У меня 16 котов.лежанки часто меняю.они рвуться,пачкаются,шерстью забиваются.покупать дорого.шью сама.петешила уже все старве шубы,дубленка,пальто,кофты,пледы и т.д..набиааю старыми подкладками и подушками.для одного любимого котика можно так сшить.а на мой колхоз что попроще да подешевле.
