They're acting a lot differently than they have been with me when I've been friendly to them, I can say that much at least. It seems if you're friendly with them they'll use a campfire's smoke to guide you to their tree house, but if you aren't friendly they don't build a fire and there is no smoke. Most notable thing about being friends with them is that they give me daily gifts of plenty of food!
Isn’t it also if you leave shrimp out for them, it raises your rep? So each time he throws their gifts out it helps too? I thought that helped as well.

Plus now that Tomato has a Kerfur he doesn't need to go outside to fix things anymore anyway, and unless it's been patched getting his skin seared off by naked UV rays just gave him infinite food so it was actually a good thing in a crazy way. Is it too much to ask for like a skinwalker to leer into his balcony window in full view of the "sleep camera" or something
