This is one of the reasons why we natives love the Pacific Northwest so passionately, despite the sometimes dreary weather.

Victoria gets the least rain of any place in the Pacific North West it sits in a rain shadow from the Washington State Olympic mountains far less rain then Seattle and Vancouver BC

Should switch your reels over to silent. Might help with not attracting seals to your boat. Just what I’ve always been told. 🤔

In oregon we call them jack chinook

It's not a jack Chinook. It's a resident Chinook which is why they call them black mouth. We have them here in Puget sound in Washington State.

Wonder why they don’t call them Chinook.

We do here. I haven't heard "black mouth" used much. Maybe because the show is for USA viewers?

Way to hide your crabbing spot at Hammond!

Crab Harbor and you can work down clatsop spit from there, choosing the depth you like. There are no secret spots down there.
