My Ceriatone SSS & Two Rock Cabinet
Great sounding gear!
Just jamming around on some John Mayer type tones!
Recorded with an SM58 & NTA-1, straight into a Focusrite 2i|4

Why does it sound so 'meh'. I mean, its just glassy clean but not round and full. Is there any way to make it sound full? I have one but not used it in a while because its pure glass (Amazing for SRV tones but not Mayer). How close can you get it to the Ceriatone JM? Great video :)
SSS is not made to be round and full. Mayer tone is the combination of SSS+Two Rock+Fender. Not only 1 Amp.
Two Rock for low end. SSS for midrange. Fender for high end.
@@1112HuyPhan I mean your point is valid but let’s be clear. Mayer does not use three amps for bass middle and treble.
The steel string singer is a phenomenal clean amp that can scream at you with drives. I’m about to receive a two rock silver Sterling sig so will confirm this further once I get it.
The two rock (I own the traditional clean) is a bouncy spongy feeling amp, with the most heavenly clean tone you’ve ever heard. Also takes peddles like a champ.
Fenders are great, there cool amps that have a different voice to two rocks. Stereotypically “sparkely cleans” less dynamic then two rocks. Way less dynamic expression range. Two rocks are just so high bandwidth. The lows are lower the highs are higher, they respond like no other amp to dynamics.
John could easily play with just a SSS and you wouldn’t notice. He’s actually played on multiple occasions with just the dumble sss. It’s supposed to be sparkely and full of live which doesn’t come across in this video for whatever reason.
