True, but you still can't fire missiles while in the yacht defense bubble. You have to get out just past the boundary and then you can spam missiles. Just keep an eye out for periscope missiles. Those have pretty decent lock on range.

I recently started playing online regularly and actually trying to build myself up, earn cash, complete missions etc. I have my nightclub, a motorcycle club and an arcade, all through hard work. I am getting very tired though of griefers making my life hell! People who own these ridiculous, overpowered vehicles and simply go killing everyone in sight for no reason. It's hardly fair when I am level 28 (I think) and have limited resources, and I get attacked by one of these supersonic, military level vehicles. I don't stand a chance!!! Yesterday I was targeted by two idiots in armoured trucks with lasers and the ability to jump long distances. This went on for almost half an hour. Almost 30 minutes of them just repeatedly blowing me up, chasing me down and I could do nothing to stop it! I don't have a crew or anything and am trying to get everything done alone. I have no idea how many times I was repeatedly killed by these two but I saved the video of it (around 26 minutes of hell). I really enjoy playing and I genuinely want to keep improving on my own but people like this are really making it difficult to stick around.

Try joining a gang as that's what I did know when ever I'm in trouble they would come to my rescue plus if you need any help doing missions you will have a 90% of a chance of getting the help. When you go to make a request to join one read what the gang group is about which helps a lot.

So there's a bug where when you go into your sub and activate yackt defense system and use the guided missile system in the sub the yackt's defense system automatically turns off.

How to counter yacht defenses take a sparrow and avoid the bubble. The sparrow cam fly through yacht defenses and the missiles go through them. But if you are in the bubble then the game won't let you shoot rockets.

Fun Fact for those who don't know, but if someone does that maneuver at 02:30, you can use your Sparrow. The Sparrow bypasses all Yacht Defenses.
