How did you know what items you were gonna get when charting the TAS?
Edit: It makes sense now. The RNG in some retro games wasn't truly random. It was on a cycle that varied depending on your inputs and what frame.

Several restarts, time spent developing a script to help perfect my input and also analysis of the game. Plus, real life frequently stepping in :) I've finished all the cups now though and will be uploading Flower Cup soon :)

The shortest time I know that a TAS has been made in is a few hours, the longest time I know is about 2.5 years.

How can you get a star being first on Banshee boardwalk? You are such a cheater but you don't admit it.
_Ceca_ If you watch it in slow motion, he gets the star and the gold mushroom when he's in second place, both of which are a 5% chance.
The game doesn't calculate what item you get when you first touch the box, it calculates it based on your position when the spinner stops.
And the 2 mushrooms he got in a row on first race, is this also a 5 % chance? He should play the lottery with all this luck...

This is A TAS. TASing and Cheating are different things.
TASing is when you use an emulator w/ tools to assist you in a speedrun.
Cheating is when you give yourself an unfair advantage like infinite items or instant win etc.
And he wasnt cheating. He was TASing.
