I know it's not in the same style but this reminds me a lot of golf story and sports story, both of which I absolutely loved. This is definitely worth a look for me.
Went to their panel at comic con. You’re really good at observing they actually are JRP fans from child hood and even called in some pro iconic wrestlers for the feed back and help on the game and those wrestlers were there as well! Sarge, Jake the snake and a few others. They also put a ton of work into the pixel art for those wrestling moves
Really been looking forward to this and the reviews/feedback have been pretty stellar but, with Skybound specifically saying, “No physical” (at least yet), I’ll be passing. Hoping the launch goes well for the devs!

@@TheGamingShelf just checked it out. Doesn't seem to hit the same tbh. The thing I loved about shining force 1 and 2 is that it was simple yet perfect even though it may lack the story and character development of modern games. Thanks though!
Ive been mixed on it. It throws too many abilities at you instead of slowly building on ideas. I don't like the length of the battles and there's no speed up option, I play a lot of switch and xbox so I cant hit the button placement consistently. I don't like the humor at all. Indie games have this bad habit of undermining their story with too much humor to where there is absolutely 0 stakes so all you really have to push you forward is the gameplay so it needs to be reaaaaaaaaaaaally good. Amazing pixel art and animation though. Don't censor this comment just because this is an #ad.
Been looking forward to this game for months! Between this and Sea of Stars, it was an exciting month for RPGs!
