Hey guys! I’m so happy to finally share with you my Charlie-inspired fan song, featuring my friend, the amazing pilot VA Elsie Lovelock! Fun fact, I actually started writing this song a week before Addict came out, so this was in the works for over 3 years! I put a lot of time and energy into this one, and I hope you guys enjoy this personal ode to Hazbin Hotel as much as I do! Enjoy!

@@Kieren4276Elsie was the singing voice for Charlie in the pilot. Since then, the entire cast got recasted so Elsie sadly won’t be voicing Charlie.
As much as I love Elsie, I think Erika sounds amazing as Charlie.

I'm going to miss Elsie Lovelock as Charlie for probably awhile but this has opened a door to a new version of herself. She now has became a true princess of royalty.
This is like a... love letter to Elsie being Charlie, final goodbye apparently.
As much as I can't wait for the show and new voices, she is gonna be missed as Charlie.
What happened to her?
I see so many comments saying goodbye to Elsie as Charlie. But why?
No one honestly thinks these fan songs are gonna stop once HH hits. Right?
And no one believes for a second that Erika is gonna be available to help Silva (or Paranoid DJ for that matter) with their fan works.
Nah. I totally support the original VAs continuing their roles in the fan world, if not in the final production. At least, I hope that happens.
@@B4DF0RCE Yeah, duh, I know. That's why I said she could still voice Charlie in the fan songs. Along with Ed and Michael.
It's like a Doctor Who regeneration moment. Of course that actor might come back in future special episodes (or music videos in Elsie's case), but for now that actor's era as that main character is over and will pass the baton to the next person.

I just wanted to come here, and say Thank You to Elsie, Silva Hound and all the creators of fan content that keep Charlie's original soul alive, among all the other talented performers. HH has been such an inspiration for me, and I cant express enough gratitude to those who put their time and love into both the pilot and fan works that spawned (pun) from Hazbin Hotel. I can't be the only one who misses the OG VA from the pilot. I'm gonna miss Edward Bosco, Elsie, Michael Kovach and all the others... These songs feel like a final goodbye to the OG voices of the characters.
When that line from Addict came up, my heart dropped 😱 What a full circle moment: the song we got back in the pilot days to this one with the series FINALLY getting released! Amazing work as always, Silva! It was wonderful to hear our OG Princess of Hell again 🤩
The new voice for Charlie is great. But it will miss Elsie. She did great as Charlie. Also, the animation was so beautiful.

I don't know why, but this song gave me Cyberpunk Edgerunners vibes, and I absolutely love it. This sounds like something Lucy would listen to after the events of the show.
Still so amazed OG Charlie singer provided this song with such a tremendous catchy melody that made her vocals truly shine! Really enjoyed it!
This feels like a parallel with Addicted. While Addicted focuses on giving in to vices, Redemption is the polar opposite. Charlie wants to end a never-ending war and takes her role to new heights. Let's see how she handles in the official show.

I think this video is the only video this entire year I actually set up to notify me when it released. It was definitely worth the notification waking me up from a nap.
"Crashing and burning, I learn to survive / Enduring career suicide" hit me so hard. I just lost my job a month and 5 days ago and I'm still recovering from the absolute soul-destroying 3 years of work I nearly took my own life over.
I've been hearing this masterpiece non-stop today. The more I listen, the more I see this music as a counterpoint for the Addict music. One is about giving yourself to your own self-destruction and vibing with it; the other is about seeking for help in denail to accept the worst case scenario. Even the reference in the frase "I don't wanna concede and give into my own demon again", linking those two songs together! Loved it!
addict is about coping with trauma, not about giving into self destruction, we can clearly see this in the end of the track

Everyone, even a lot of people who've done plenty of awful things, can have their redemption arc. All you have to do is find that opportunity, take it, and never let go. Even after all one has done, you can still do the right thing...or at least, do some good in your life before the final slumber and the eternal dream.
One last special detail: This song, to me at least, is the Spiritual Antithesis of Addict. One was about giving into vice and sin, the other is about rejecting it in favor of atonement for those sins...and it fits our ray of demonic sunshine perfectly.

This should be made into a video like Addict. Not that this animation isn't awesome, but imagine Charlie singing this while her father's listening inside the hotel
Edit: Now I'm imagining this as a series final song. I know the show hasn't even come out yet, but just imagine this scenario: Adam destroys the hotel for fear that sinners may prove themselves better people than his angels. All while angels are destroying the hope in their patrons for a better life. Lucifer considers killing Adam in revenge for hurting his daughter regardless of their different beliefs. Charlie, instead of turning to violence decides to just rebuild the hotel and focuses on rebuilding the hope inside of the patrons she had come to love instead of seeking revenge. And during her attempt, sings this to express her beliefs and trying to help them and her father see that redemption is possible.
Not saying this is canon, but it's an interesting plot point this song inspired for my fantasy Hazbin plot.
