Pete Grieg has the true eye wrinkles of a Duchenne smile. :) True authenticity. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this issue. Theology is such a controversial topic but I genuinely believe it has a wonderful place in our world, especially in these troubled times. I hope we can all continue to work towards a peaceful and plentiful world...finding our way back to our version of Eden. :)
I love it that Pete Greig says jesus is the god who identifies with our suffering. That's why we know His love for us and why we have hope of life eternal with God and Jesus through the power of the holy spirit in us now.
Thy kingdom is currently spread out over the earth, we can’t see it because of what Adam and Eve did in the garden of Elohim! The day is coming when Elohim will roll back the firmament above us like a scroll! and then everyone on earth shall see his face and thy kingdom will be established on the the earth and Elohim’s will, will take place upon the Land as it is above the waters of the firmament! Come Yashua we need your Fathers kingdom!
Please pray for our young people in the USA. Today March 24 th Thousands of our Young People are gathering and Marching against the scourge of gun violence and deaths here in the USA. Thank you!
THY KINGDOM COME DELIVERING YEARLY A SPRING IMPACT Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in Summer of 2010 as an invitation from Mr Marouane Derfoufi to the Church of England has grown into an international ‘Call to Prayer…’ Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. Since its start God has grown Thy Kingdom Come from a dream of possibility into a movement. Christians from many countries have taken part in Praying ‘Come Holy Spirit’, so that friends and family, neighbours and colleagues might come to faith in Jesus Christ. This praying together has been across our diversity and differences as every person, household and church are encouraged to pray in their own way. According to our annual survey findings an astonishing percentage of people said they were praying for family and friends to come to faith in Jesus, and a significant number of people join in for the first time, we recognise there is much more we can do together to help Thy Kingdom Come be fully in the Lifeblood of the Church. During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. it is hoped that everyone who takes part will: Deepen their own relationship with Jesus Christ Pray for 5 friends or family to come to faith in Jesus Pray for the empowerment of the Spirit that we would be effective in our witness After the very first Ascension Day the disciples gathered with Mary, constantly devoting themselves to prayer while they waited for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Like them, our reliance on the gift of the Holy Spirit is total - on our own we can do nothing. Through the centuries Christians have gathered at that time to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit. ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ picks up this tradition. Over the years more and more worshipping communities have dedicated the days between Ascension and Pentecost to pray ‘Come Holy Spirit’. We are praying that the Spirit will inspire and equip us to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our friends and families, our communities and networks. It has been amazing how many varied ways there have been in which people from every tradition have taken up this challenge. The effects have been remarkable. It is our prayer that those who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus Christ and his love for the world will hear it for themselves, and respond and follow Him. Specifically, we again invite each and every Christian across the globe to pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of 5 friends who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call. Whether you have joined in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ before or not, we invite you to take part - along with churches from over 80 different denominations & traditions in nearly 100% of countries around the world. “In praying 'Thy Kingdom Come' we all commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities." Fabulous interview! Could the creators please, please, please stop putting the same 4-chord music underneath any videos - it drives people, especially musicians ABSOLUTELY CRAAAAAAAZY!!!!! - or provide an option/version WITHOUT the music. Thank you
03:22 I might be jumping the gun on this one, but one perspective might be to see this issue as a "David and Goliath" situation. An alternative could be Hercules and the Hydra...different ways to solve a power imbalance. //If reverend and congregation attrition is continuing to be an issue within the C of E (which I believe it is), there are SO many things we need to address to sort this out. I have some ideas but until (and if) I start studying theology properly, I'll likely be of no value! Still want to stick my oar in, though. Sorry.
Good but I find the music is competing too much with the important spoken words, and is a severe distraction. Why add music? We don't need to be entertained whilst taking in important spiritual insights.
Jesus was telling his disciples ( who let’s not forget were Jewish ) to pray for the physical Kingdom to be set up on earth , which is a time when Gods will is actually done “ on earth as it is in heaven “. Hence why Jesus “ went around all Judea and Galilee preaching the gospel OF the KINGDOM . If they had accepted their messiah he would have set up his earthly kingdom with Israel at the centre , “ a light to all nations “. The Jews nailed him to a cross instead , so God dispensed the Gospel of grace to Paul as part of the mysteries which he had kept hidden since before the world began . Paul took that to the gentiles and in this current time period before the rapture God is not dealing with the Jews or the prophetic timeline . After the rapture the final 7 years of Daniel’s 70 weeks will unfold and then the second coming where Christ will finally set up his earthly kingdom . So we can still pray for Gods kingdom to come , but it’s not some abstract thing that we define ourselves .

I love this beautiful conversation and the soft music. Thanks be to God! Praise Jesus! Holy Ascension Day, and Holy Pentecost Day, everyone.
Thank you for this wonderful, inspiring interview. Hope for the brokenhearted.

I went through a 15 year new atheist type stage. Dawkins books are good and I learnt a lot.
So what does Greig think 'Thy kingdom come' means?
