- The Ukrainian government is often accused of turning a blind eye to what are described as neo-Nazi paramilitary groups fighting Russia-backed separatists.
Many say such groups have been an effective fighting force in the almost eight-year conflict in eastern Ukraine.
But as Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports from Kharkiv, while their origins stretch right across Eastern Europe including Russia, they remain politically weak so far.

I know (or have heard) that russia is dumping "western" media, but i need independent thought. (or at least an argument against my thought that is obviously strong) I really, truely want a strong counter argument to my own, so that I can at least know who is wrong, so please, internet, tell me this isn't all at the whim of a megalomaniac who has Russia as a hostage. I just want a version of the truth i can accept before the world descends into darkness. Possibly, but there is a much BROADER invasion going on, which is causing catastrophic destruction on a scale which has not been seen on the European continent since 1945.
No one REQUIRED Mr. Putin to do this. He did it himself. His forces have shown wanton brutality toward civilians, whether Ukrainian-speaking or Russian-speaking. He does not care about human life, or any political interest besides his own.
Neither Putin nor his followers on this page will justify their 'cause' when they hide behind the sins of others. God is able to judge Russian nationalists and Ukrainian nationalists alike. You can trust Him with that. Meanwhile Putin should get out of Ukraine, because this may be the only way to stop the violence.
If there is a ceasefire, or an arrangement which rewards Putin with MORE territory, he will probably use the pause to regroup and bite off STILL MORE territory. I don't think that Putin knows the word, 'enough'.

@@moc9818 Wwell, Putin has also his motives to take (part of) Ukraine, first he thinks it belongs to Russia because Soviets "invented" Ukraine and then he "doesnt want NATO" on the border of Russia and wants Ukraine to be neutral. The only way for Ukraine to be neutral is to be a Russian puppet state and always weaker than Russia. Plus, economy and resource potential of Ukraine is just massive and too important for stability of Europe.

This is the AZOV Battalion which is Ukraine's National Guard that was inducted by former president Poroshenko; this group is an Aryan neo-Nazis militant group among several other groups... the founder and leader of AZOV has political seat since the interim government Maidan Party that is a nationalist fascist party having history going back to WWII that supported Germany's Third Reich and participated in the war against the Ukrainian/ Russian Jews and fought against allied axis of the West and of Russian Red Army.
This group also has a training program for children teaching them warfare skills and singing songs to destroy Russia and Russians...
The US backed the coup of 2014 and funded the Maidan Party of $5 billion USD of US Taxpayer money to establish a pro-US/NATO government - Ukraine was before a Moderate Democratic government but had strong ties to Russia...

From the time of the Maidan Square Protests back in 2013, I have been aware of the prominent and indeed decisive role that the Far Right and Neo Nazis in Ukraine played in the overthrow of the government of Yanukovych. It was they who orchestrated the violent clashes against the police and other security forces during the demonstrations there. This fact was not much reported in the Western Media at the time.
There are many who will say it was not a coup, but a popular revolution. But it was a coup, which was backed by the Obama Administration. They abided the Far Right because they main objective was to oust a pro Russian government and the Far Right served as the muscle via which to do so quickly.
On February 20, 2014, following an accord brokered by the EU between the opposition and the Yanukovych, the Far Right refused to abide by the agreement and immediately launched into violence. Yanukovych knowing that his personal security had been compromised fled two days later.
Subsequently, Far Right parties obtained one fourth of cabinet seats in the government that was formed post Yanukovych. Yanukovych wasn't even impeached by 3/4 majority as required by the Constitution of Ukraine.
It was a coup.
Notice how it was the American Regressive-leftists and RHINOs that supported this. The moment Trump got in office and started shutting the swamp down, Ukraine and the legitimate NatSocs began to fade away and the situation and impending loom of invasion for the average Ukrainian citizen subside. This is a power play by both sides who are completely zogged out. This is the globalist final play because populism is on the rise, and they can't have the serfs thinking for themselves.

In 2014 the UN wanted to pass an agenda that would combat the glorification of neo nazism. 132 countried voted in favor. Only 4 voted against. Russia was one of the countries that voted yes to end neo-nazism. USA and Ukraine voted no.

A lot of fakes are spread in Ukraine, they pretend that this is genocide and an aggressive attack on Ukraine. 14,000 civilians died in the Donbass, and no one cared the whole time. And now Zelensky and the media are portraying every victim as genocide. Russians and Ukrainians are brothers, but once again the Russians came to liberate Ukraine from the Nazis.

The people of Donbass are ethnic Russians who did not support the 2014 coup (the US-backed Kiev government is openly anti-Russian, they have even banned the Russian language which is native language of the people living in Donbass), those Russians have lived in Donbass for some centuries, so right now they are defending their home/families, they voted a referendum to get autonomy and stay inside Ukraine, so the narrative that they are pro-Russian is not so true, the Ukrainian army started an attack on those regions and the people of Donbass won that war. Interesting that the West always supports autonomies when they are initiated within enemy nations. Hong Kong in China, the Kurds in Syria, Kosovo in Serbia and a long list. It is true that Russia supports those Russians who live in Donbass, in fact it has more right to do so, they are native Russians, they are in lands close to Russia (security issue) and they have a connection with their culture, they also share many families, After 2014, many have obtained a Russian passport. If a war starts, it will be when Ukraine attacks the Russians in Donbass, as Russia has said for years that it will intervene to protect them with the Russian army and the West will start lying that Russia invaded Ukraine.
