Both actors played so well!!! They nailed these two characters!!! What a beautiful love story and I'm deeply touched by their performances!!! I can't help watching them over and over again! We should give them as many credits as we can!!! I want to see more of Ben and Rose on the screen and I wish they will present audience with more love stories ahead!!!!!!
I’m gonna cry! Alexander, “stay, make a life with me” and the Jane Austen line, “you have bewitched me” I do feel for Ralph but, Charlotte has changed(even he knows it)she could never go home and feel “home” Leonora has the best line of the entire three seasons “……it’s a beastly business”
I think they did Jane Austen justice with this series. Kudos to the writers...I love Coulborne's character- humble and patient and persistent. Charlotte is a gem. Well played by the cast. Truly a romance to remember. ❤
THE PARALLELS OF THEM WALKING SIDE BY SIDE TOGETHER. you did that. I’m-- I’m still not over that kiss on the cliff side, despite it being a sad scene it was still so breathtakingly beautiful 🤍🥹. SO HAPPY FOR THEM AND THEIR WEDDING WAS EVERYTHING.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THIS BRINGS IT FULL CIRCLE?! Sydney met her on that same cliff to tell her could not marry her because he was engaged to someone else and needed the finances. But Alexander meets her there to tell her he will marry who he chooses!! THAT is phenomenal writing! Can't wait until I actually get to watch this episode.
Actually, Sidney stops the carriage to say goodbye. He had already told her at Trafalgar House he could not marry her. Colbourne welcomes her into a marriage proposal on the very clifftop. Brilliant!
Ben was so stunning as Alexander!!!! Can't stop watching!! There were too many lines in the 3season , as for me , A&Sh story was not enough, wish could be 8 parts, not 6! But the ending is so marvelous! Same place, same carriage but diff result, finally happy ending of the story!!! A little angry to Georgianna, who was about to spoil everything saying that A was engaged with Lydia, but understood that this was the idea to bring us back to that place! This will be one of the films I rewatch!!! 😊😊😊congrats to creators and actors who made us so happy! 😊😊😊😊😊
Not sure about your issue with Georgiana. Her best friend's love interest keeps entertaining a woman who later tells her she is engaged. She did what a friend was supposed to do.
@@susivarga7303 ye, right, but there was not any exact name she was not sure, it was just a kind of a suspicion, they thought it, just rumours. But before telling the friend she had been to be 💯. That's what I mean.))
@@MaridaDarida I know, but let's be honest, the whole thing was clumsy af. AC was entertaining lady Lydia for a while and her mother was constantly on about a match. Lydia expresses interest in him too. If she says she is engaged, who else could it be? BUT why would they keep the engagement a secret? Why would the whole town NOT know about it? Why would his own brother not talk about it until Lady Susan brings it up causally while strolling on the beach as if it was nothing, while the whole reason she and Simon got together was the matchmaking? The whole thing was clumsy, not just the Georgianna part. That's not how engagements in high society were supposed to be handled. Anyway, there were big problems with the writing in this show from the start but I love it so much, I forgive and forget 😊 I'm grateful they got rid of that prick Sidney and gave us Alexander.
Alexander is a better match for Charlotte than Sydney. Plus Lady Susan and Charlotte are sister in laws what a great way to tie up lose ends I really enjoyed the Lady Susan and Samuel Colbourne romance. And what can we say about the fine acting from Jack Fox as Edward Denham and his ending ? Edward actually loved Augusta enough to walk away with her virtue intact.
She never loved her. She just realised how YOUNG and innocent she was and he couldn't cross that line. That's not love, it's just a shred of decency. He fooled around with more experienced, flirty women all his life. Even in the end scene, he was already eyeing up the next one. He felt discomfort, not love.
I watched the whole season and they play with us for 2 seasons. And finally we get the perfect ending and it's the final 7 minutes off the last episode. I mean come on that's brutal, now I have to replay those 7 minutes because it isn't enough
You are right. Instead of getting mad at Xander she should have told him how much she loved him. This should be the point in time for serious communication between them. I did not like how the writers did this part of their love for each other. But I guess they were pressed for time to finish the series. I never heard Charlotte say "I love you" to Alexander - ever, ever, ever!!
Still watching these clips that all you clever people put together. The end of season 3 was too rushed. I wanted to see more in between the cliff scene and wedding and definitely after the wedding........can anyone direct me to some fanfiction to fill in the gaps? 😉 Ben absolutely nailed this character with his subtle looks that said everything and that crooked smile. Hoping to see him in more period dramas. He wears it well.
@@marthast.germain3300 thank you. It would be wonderful if Charlotte decided to do good as Mrs Colbourne and teach the servants’ children to read and write
I did not like Season 3 as a whole. It felt like they tried too hard to give everybody some sort of perfect ending and the aproach did not match the Jane Austen style. However, there were a few storylines that I loved and made sense. All in all, Seasons 1 and 2 were better, but at least there is closure in season 3. This video is a beautiful summary of the story we all hoped would happen and did happen true to the Jane Austen way.
Season 3 was the best. Why? Because I let go of this Jane Austen nonsense 1 season ago.... It was lovely, well written, good storylines, humour, I was happy for Lady Susan and Miss Hankins, and Charlotte and Colbourne's chemistry was through the roof!!! Brilliant fluff with credible romance. Otis was the only rushed bit, the others were heartwarming.
Also it seems as though everything was not in place when they started filming this series - I.e..problems before filming, actors not committed to the project and for some reason season did not go over well in the U K - wonder why?? Thank God it was received well in the US.😊

Ralph was alwats going to be the sacrificial lamb and they cast him accordingly. Poor actor 😁
That is love - until it is put in the proper perspective!!
