I enjoyed your trips very much. These are not common parts to visit! Your pronunciations are now very good. Well Done! Looking for more events in the future. The West Highland midges are the world's worst! Never satisfied and hard to repel!
Thank you for the content, I usually avoid MFG chargers tate where possible as the advertised speed is for 800v systems. So, for most EVs which are 400v, we get half the claimed speeds like you got. This means for my MG4 LR, I'd get the best rate of 143kw (0-50%) using one of MFGs 350kw units, as they are reallly 175kw for 400v EVs 😂
I avoid them, but simply because they are too expensive. So my strategy is always, “minimise charging just enough to get to a reasonably priced charger”. Nonetheless the process of payment was simple, and it’s great to hear that legislation in draft form will require this for all rapid chargers very soon.
The Raption 50kW chargers much loved by Chargeplace Scotland nearly always show a red light on the charger handles. This is because the handles are locked into the charger until you authenticate payment. The red light turns green and the charger handle is released. this is not very intuitive to most people and they have yanked the handle out of the charger, so on most chargers of this type the locking mechanism is broken and people can remove the handle before authentication. TLDR: the red light does not mean the charger is not working.
I think the rocks there are solid and hard wearing, unlike East Riding of Yorkshire which tends to lose about 2 metres of coastline each year. I’ve never been too confident in coastal properties myself, but I think these ones will stand the test of time.
That was a really relaxing and enjoyable watch, thanks Anthony. You do a good job at presenting. Not everyone does well in front of a camera. Free charger in Scotland ! Is that possible ? Sorry to hear about the ball joint issue. That's very unusual for those to play up so quickly. Either it's undersized over stressed or the rubber seal is failing early. Show us what the old one looks like when they replace it.
They’ve definitely got a problem with them. That particular part has been revised many times already (I think mine is revision J). I have to wait 2 weeks for spare parts to arrive. I’m not sure why they haven’t got to the bottom of the trouble since every other car brand has got one of these parts and I’ve not known this kind of defect to be a problem with those other brands.
@@anthonydyer3939 Is it a ball joint in the steering or suspension ? Either way, when a ball joint starts to fail its not something you want to leave to long. When Tesla starts using LFP batteries we are thinking of getting one.
It’s now fixed. Turned out to be the lower control arm joints had a little play in them. The upper control arm joints were fine. Symptoms are that if you get squealing when steering, it’s lower control joints (nylon joint). If it’s loud squeaks on any bump then it’s upper ball joint that needs addressing.

That cliff path bit I could hardly watch 😮. You nutter
Really enjoyed this wee tour! Thank you.
Stunning views, really hoping to visit some of these places soon. Thanks for the excellent content as usual.

Thanks for another excellent detailed video. Prompted us to EV-it for a short break to Peak District and walk the Derwent Edge:🙂
It's great to hear how my video has inspired your trip.

Those cottages at Buchan were stunning. However, I would be concerned about waking up one morning to find your kitchen in the North Sea.. :joy:

@@joschmoyo4532 both. It’s part of the upper control arm. So it acts as a pivot for steering well as transferring the load of the car to the wheel.

I think I'd have picked Slains castle or Cruden Bay but I definitely wouldn't have been on that path.
I didn’t realise how narrow it was until the very end. I won’t be doing that little path again!
@@anthonydyer3939Just watching had a certain nether region muscle tightening. 😅
