WA were chasing 83 to win in the shield but the old scoreboard was 1 run behind WA's actual score, making the umpires think WA were at 4/81 at the start of the next over rather than 4/82. Inglis got a single and the winning run for WA but the umpires had Cartwright face Kuhnemann the next ball when the game was technically over. The umpires then looked at each other and the scoreboard for 30 seconds before they finally realised that the game was over

Our Aussie batter hears keeper creeping nearer, turns cursing to threaten him with bat! I was running to ground bat when fielder's throw sandwiched my thumb against it - hospital and op job.
