Hi from the UK. I enjoyed your reaction to one of my favourite bands, Sleep Token. Understanding Sleep Token's lyrics and videos is nigh on impossible without knowledge of the lore behind the band. Even then, some songs are still open to many interpretations. Without going too deep into the lore, suffice it to say that lead singer Vessel underwent some kind of traumatic event whilst in what can only be described as a very toxic relationship. During that time, he was visited by an ancient deity identified as Sleep in a dream. Sleep promised Vessel that if he worshipped them and followed their instructions, he would attain fame and fortune. All Sleep Token's songs deal with being caught in a toxic relationship that you know is not good for you but the love you have for the other person prevents you from either leaving them or even getting over them after the relationship ends. This video represents Vessel fighting off his inner demons but still being stuck in a repeating cycle. Notice how the video starts and ends with the same shot. Vessel seated with two dead hazmat wearing foes. Their follow-up single to Alkaline called The Love You Want explores the same theme. This time, though, not only does the video start and end the same, but so does the song. Hope this helps rather than confuses you! Stay safe 🤘 ✌️
Yesssss Sleep Token is amazing! I first heard them 3 years ago and have been in love ever since! Their new album is AMAZING! I also just got their logo tattooed 2 months ago. Their music hit me so hard, especially their song "Dark Signs". I hope you go down the rabbit hole of Sleep Token! #worship
'The love you want' by Sleep Token would be right up your ally! The video is so good! Also "Blood Sport' from the room below is a must! It's very emotional and raw but so beautiful. It's just vessel and a piano.
The Offering is probably still my favorite song by this band, but front to back their albums are solid! Dark Signs is really great too off their album Sundowning.

Here are my recommendations when it comes to sleep Token.... Take me back to eden, Ascensionism, Granite, The Summoning and Chokehold....in whatever order you like, but if you want to know wich one I think is best it's the first one
Ohh girl you have no idea what youre getting into. Sleep Token is one of those unique acts that only come along once in a couple decades. Between them and artists like Ren popping off the industry is about to be flipped on its head. 👍

You should probably look into the general idea of the story that’s told by their 3 albums. Some songs can be deceiving about their topic 😅
